Casa della madonna nera di dio

😐 A building that stands out for its architecture but that with the cafe terraces is almost not appreciated...

If you are looking for the black Madonna it is not inside a church but on a corner of a building above a bar. It's not easy to see because of the bar umbrellas.

While walking I was struck by this statue and it is an excellent Czech cubist architecture, built between 1911 and 1912 based on a design by the Czech architect Josef Gočár. It is located in the Old Town, between Celetná Street and the Fruit Market. The name derives from the baroque statue located on the corner of the building. After the complete renovation of the Museum of Arts and Crafts building, it hosts a Cubist exhibition here.

Remarkable building in cubist style, on the top floor a museum of cubism, on the first café in cubist style.

Incredible display of Czech Cubism and its greatest exponents, the staff is super friendly. They invite you to sit down and read the books of Czech art, you deserve to take a couple of hours to enjoy the place

In this museum, a selection of works by Czech Cubists is exhibited... mostly furniture, tapestries and some paintings. On the first floor there is a completely Art Nouveau bistro with a charming terrace and a fantastic atmosphere. One of the absolutely interesting things is the display of models of local monuments made entirely with white Bristol cardboard

This is a beautiful church, worth a visit to quiet your soul.

Calling it a Museum seems too much to me! It is spread over three floors but these days only the 2nd and 4th are open and therefore offered at a reduced price: 80 kz (students free). On the 2nd floor very few pictorial and furnishing pieces. On the 4th floor there is a photographic exhibition by an author whose theme is design objects. Totally disappointing for me!

Nice but rather small Cubist museum. The staircase leading to the exhibition rooms is very beautiful

Stopped here as they were making rock and you could watch. They gave free samples. The sweets were amazing...there is some interesting chocolate shapes though....
