One of the best Zoo's I have ever been too! The price to get in is so cheap, once in there you are welcomed to a huge area filled with so many different animals! Plenty of places to grab a bite to eat and plenty of benches around to have a sit down. If your in Prague this is a place you want to visit it will not disappoint!

Amazing experience! Beautiful and huge botanical garden, it's great to walk around and admire different kinds of trees or plants. Amazing vegan snack bar. I highly recommend if you want to chill in nature not so far from city...

Cool place to walk around and see animals. Simple, but interesting. Entry is cheap, around 200 Kč, but there is a lot of extra stuff you can buy like souvenirs, toys, coins etc. And what's important: if you don't want to lose your money - bring water and snacks with you! When I was there, I spent an extra 400 Kč only because of that. And the last thing - cableway. I don't know if it's interesting enough to spend 80 Kč (40 Kč to one side) but the view is great.

Prague Zoo is the place where you should go once you are in Prague;) Prepare good shoes since the place is quite large;) If you come by car in the summer be prepared for parking issues, rather drive here early or park far from this place and walk over there-it's ok cos surrounded places are nice to see as well.

The natural monument Čimické Údolí was declared in 1968. The Čimický stream flows across the entire territory. Its upper course is copied by a blue marked hiking trail and it is a beautiful place for a walk that will completely clear your head. The area was inhabited during the Stone Age. Over time, it began to be used mainly for agriculture. The geomorphological basis of the valley was formed 2.5 billion to 542 million years ago, but its current character was significantly affected during the Quaternary period. The territory of the natural monument covers an area of less than 11 hectares at an altitude of 240–270 meters and is part of the Drahaň-Troja Nature Park with an area of 578 hectares, which is located on the right bank of the Vltava from Jabloňka to the northern border of Prague. It is an area that has long been inhabited, as evidenced by two important prehistoric strongholds - Castles and Na Farkách. Since the Middle Ages, the area of the nature park has been largely covered with vineyards.

Absolute hidden gem. We had a spare day in Prague and we saw a sign for a zoo and thought let’s give it a shot ... 100% worth it Only about £5-6 to get in depending on the exchange rate you get but it’s worth every penny. Such a variety of animals and very clean exhibits. Lots of animals I’ve not seen in UK zoos, exhibits are split up around a lot of different zones. However be prepared to walk up and down a hell of a lot of hills.

Prague Zoo is so much more than a zoo. The grounds are maintained to perfection, all walkways are concreted so that wheelchair access would be easy, albeit for a few slopes. It is a gentle walk around, as you would in a park, surrounded by animals, sure in captivity but there is so much space, it feels natural. All amenities are superb, staff friendly. On the negative, if Czech is not your native language, English explanations are not present everywhere. Visit highly recommended. Lovely views over Prague as well.

It was really a big surprise for us to visit ZOO in Prague. There wete so many people. Over 9000. Big problem for us was parking our car. So nice place where to spend all day. There were many species of animals so attractive not only for children but alsofor adults. There are many options of catering, too. You can even taste some beverages and nice cup of coffee. It is worth to visit. There is nice playground for small kids and teenagers.Toilets were everywhere and they were very clean. Many people came there also for a picnic. Why not? A lot of people brought their dogs as well. It was nice time to recharge the batteries.

Excellent value at just over 10 pounds per ticket, the zoo was very quite, no crowds, no queues and lots of great animals, birds and reptiles on show, set in a vast area of land.. Lovely day out and was easy to get to using metro and bus directly to the zoo! Make sure you have comfortable footwear.

What a lovely day we had at this Zoo. Very clean, plenty of toilets and washrooms dotted about. Numerous places to eat and drink especially on a hot day. Price was very reasonable to enter. Gift shops available on site too. Highlight for me was the flamingoes whereas my husband likes the big cats. All animals looked well cared for and their environments all looked well maintained. We got the Metro and bus from Prague Museum, absolutely seamless journey, no issues at all. Would highly recommend a visit.

Prague Zoo. A large varied collection of animals of our world. Seemingly well cared for, some on endangered lists. Finally saw the majestic 'big' cats, who've been skulking on previous visit.

Fantastic place. It's massive so expect to spend the day here. The variety of wildlife is phenomenal. You could literally do a bar crawl around the place 🤣 Plenty of place to eat along the way and also plenty of places to get a drink. As stated the place is massive so make sure you have a good pair of shoes with you.

I'm not a keen lover of keeping animals locked up ,however some would say zoos are a necessity? If they are under lock and key, it's better that they are kept in humane conditions, the Zoo, does this extremely well. If you want to complain, please help fund the Zoo,and become an active activist at Greenpeace

The picturesque area above the city represents nice hilly countryside type of landscape. Woods and meadows, cherry gardens and river views. However, recently disturbed by the new ZOO gorillas outlet construction and local road improvement...

Definitely a place to stop by. I was so amazed and humbled to see different animals up close. The hippopotamus was fabulous, the snowbear was definitely enjoying his swim in the hot weather. The elephants and giraffes were majestic! 🤩

So far the best Zoo we have ever visited! Loved the Elephant area, Giraffe area, Indonesian jungle, Penguins, Kangaroos and Gorilla areas, as they tried to match it to their natural habitat. Highly recommend this zoo, not just for kids but Adults too

Very nice and large botanical garden where dogs are allowed except for the green house. Beautiful view of the north of Prague. Vineyard unfortunately only with Czech language identifiers of the different grapes. Additionally some education for kids at multiple locations. The staff does a great job maintaining the garden. Parking right next to the entrance and good public transportation.

(Translated by Google) Here you will find an oasis of nature in Prague. it also provides the possibility of sports use whether for running, cycling (mountain biking, challenging and gentle terrain), or walking, both undemanding and in demanding, quasi-mountain terrain. At a distance of about 5 - 7 km it is possible to overcome the total height difference between 500 and 700 m. The elevation gain from the Vltava valley to Bohnice exceeds 100 m, to (according to the chosen route) half a km.

We spent over 6 hours here one day, and only left because they were closing. There is so much to see and do here. There are multiple different playgrounds/areas for children and a ton of cafes to eat and relax at. The beer and food are beyond reasonably priced. I recommend to get there as soon as they open and spend a full day, or maybe get a multi day pass if you’re in the area for a while.

It was interesting zoo, there weren't that many animals on show but they definitively had a lot of variety which surprised me and it was pleasant a nice walk and easy to navigate. I especially loved the safari where you get to see hippos. I just wish the enclosures for the animals were a lot bigger.

  • 4/5 Roger W. 4 years ago on Google
We learnt a lot today. And seen some really strange animals for the first time. A great park where seems to care slot for the animals. They would have gotten a 5star rating if it hadn't been for the bitter man in the lift. I told my kids that they should be prepared to get off the lift. But since we are swedes, we don't understand Czech. I was sitting in last of us three. I saw the man saying something to my daughter, but she didn't understand. So he pressed the emergency button and almost threw her out of the seat. He started the lift again and when it was my son's turn, he unhooked the safety chain and grabbed his arm and ripped him off the seat. Luckily so wasn't my son hurt. I was quite mad but it was no use to talk to him since didn't understand English, and I'm not that good at it.
