Lush green parkland and wide open spaces for walkers and cyclists alike. If going by tram, take No. 26 and get off at Divoka Sarka terminus. Note the pin drop for Divoka Sarka is wrong so beware of taking a taxi. There's a McDonald's near the terminus and a country road on the right. Take the road and then steps on the right to the reservoir. A steep path takes you to the top of the hill giving beautiful panoramic views of Prague and the countryside. There are no food or drink kiosks inside the park or public toilets. Plenty of walking and mountain bike trails, fields and hills to explore.

Natural Park Lysolaje is found in the NW of Prague. It is a protected forest expanse of 1005 ha that contains a lake, natural swimming pool, and walking trails around craggy peaks, offering beatiful city views. This place is a home to many protected species of flora and fauna as well as an archeological research area with items dating 5000 years back. Also, this park contains a small chapel built in 1863 and devoted to the Virgin Mary in gratitude for answered prayers during an especially dry period when a water miraculously and suddenly sprang from the ground. This natural water is of a very high quality and one of the main sources of drinking water in Prague till today.

"Wild Sharka" in Czech..indeed the only wild natural reserve which is in some parts still in Prague or very close, with loads of bike trails and rock climbing spots, a large closed outdoor pool(unheated, not for the cold blooded) including bar and restaurant with good beer and Czech snacks, pizza. Natural Park Šárka also offers tons of little hotspots for picnics, half or a whole day easily spent there, even in winter. I've seen some people camp there also, right be the creek..which crosses the whole park, not sure if ok or not, but who cares if you don't get caught!

More than a park, rather a huge swath of wilderness accessible in walking distance from the metro. Amazing place to go for a picnic, walk with a doggy, run, cycle, or just lounge with a book.

  • 5/5 Peter F. 5 years ago on Google
Layers upon layers of daydream quality walking trails adorn this hillside park, overlooking the majesty of Prague. I found myself wandering through public orchards, through concentric rose gardens, and portals breaching defensive ramparts. Do yourself a favor, while in Prague, escape the business of the city for a while - elevate your body and mind by exploring this place.

Nice place for a walk. You have choices for going up or easy track staying down. Highly recommended, peaceful yet close to the city. To here are restaurant, pool etc in the area

  • 5/5 Kaira W. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful, especially in the snow! It is a huge park perfect for dogs, only 30 minutes away from the centre of Prague if you take the tram. Be careful when there's snow though as it can become very slippery. There are many paths and although at first it man give the impression that there are a lot of people you quickly come to be alone as the park is so big.

Amazing place within city (Prague) limits. Natural park with forest, deep canyon and rocky cliffs. At the top of the cliffs are smaller or larger grassy fields with bare rocks. Inviting to sit and enjoy quiet nature within city. Take you camera if you like photography, or just put on sneakers and run through... Relax

  • 5/5 J0XX0N 1 year ago on Google
A hidden gem without tourists that you can use for relaxation or exercise. The scenery is really great but is tricky to justify trough photos, you have to see it for yourself. If you walk through the ravine for maybe a kilometre there is a place where time stood still, you can use a swimmingpool, play table tennis, volleyball or just have a beer on the grass or rent a comfy chair for a reasonable price. The reasonable price goes for all the activities except for the restaurant where they charge you just a tiny bit more than they would in a normal place in town but if you compare it to the tourist spots around Prague it's ridiculously inexpensive. You can bring your kids, they won't be disappointed if they're not spoiled brats 🙂. I visited Prague many many times and this is my top spot during the summer.

  • 5/5 Maryna S. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful natural park, big rocks, forest. Ideal place for whole day hiking or picnic for whole family. But you'd better look for forecast before visiting, can be dangerous after heavy rains or snowing.

  • 5/5 John K. 11 months ago on Google
varied terrain with meandering streams nice walking area that is generally fairly quiet given the fact that it is located in the city many height differences and for the summer there is a beautiful swimming pool that can only be reached on foot good connections with public transport and there there is also a large parking lot

  • 5/5 Petr V. 1 year ago on Google
Located in Praha 6 in direction to the airport lies this beautiful natural park. There are hills, cliffs and canyons here with a lake on one side and a stream flowing through the park. Nice place for picnic, walk or a rest, quite busy on weekends.

  • 5/5 Jerry S. 1 year ago on Google
One of the more popular nature parks around Prague. Can get a little crowded in the summer but all nature. And it's accessible my tram.

  • 5/5 Joe M. 1 year ago on Google
It is a small hidden gem a paradise worth a visit, even if just for a few hours. Easily accessible by public transport (Metro A and Tram). You feel like you are away in the nature, surrounded by mountains and yet you are still in Prague. Beautiful views, you can walk, run, hike, bike even mountain climb. There is also a small lake and a public swimming pool (open only in the summer). Most of the places easily accessible even with small kids or a pram. Highly recommended any time!

  • 5/5 Lily A. 11 months ago on Google
Swimming pools with cold water, beautiful forest around the site with birds chirping.l, and the most important feature - you immediately forget that you're still within the limits of big busy city. Excellent idea for a day or several hours of relaxation and recharge. Don't forget the sunscreen! 🙂

  • 5/5 Ondřej V. 8 months ago on Google
Great piece of nature. There are many activities you can do. Hiking along the beautiful rocky hills or cycling as well. There is also possibility to swim. On in reservoir Divoká Šárka which is not clean or in outside swimming pool that can be quite chilly as it's hidden in valley and not enough warm up by summer.

This parc is a real gem. Lush forests with rocky cliffs scattered all around with beautiful viewpoints. The parc is huge and you can easily spend several hours walking around. It’s a very nice breath of fresh air if you’re tired of sightseeing the numerous monuments of Prague. The park is free.
