Must see in Prague. Beautiful gardens in the city center accessible from the corner of Letenska street or Malostranska green metro A. Visit at sprint when everything is blooming 🌷🌺🪴. Free entry. The garden is quite big and has several sections - palace, trees with shadows and benches, grass, flowers, fountains ⛲️, pond with colorful big fish 🐠 . Recommend everyone to visit as a must see

Enter for free. Beautiful place to spend a couple hours before moving to the Prague Castle. The Gardens house the Senate building. There is also a wall where you can search for hidden demon faces and also animals.

Stunning garden hidden in Mala Strana! And for free! Second biggest garden in central Prague is part of the Czech Senate building complex and is accessible from 3 different entrances (from Letenska street, Malostranska metro station and Waldstein palace). Even though the entrance is free, the place is not crowded with tourists and one can still enjoy the tranquility of the gardens, either observing free-strolling peacocks or watching a panoramic view of Prague Castle. This very early baroque style garden has some of the most unique features of any gardens in Prague - namely the dripstone wall built alongside the southern part of the gardens. If you look carefully you will be able to see some mythical creatures, frogs, snakes and other animals engraved in the wall. Part of the wall is also a voliere displaying magnificent eagle-owls, definitely worth a stop! The main dominant of the garden is the back of the Waldstein palace - the monumental antique looking building featuring beautiful interior decorations. There is plenty of seating in front of it and during summer various cultural events are happening here as well. We did enjoy the views from here the most! The second part of the garden features a beautiful square pond full of huge, colorful koi carps and ducks. In the middle, on the small island, a statue of Hercules in a fight with dragon is located, in fact throughout the park visitors will find many mythical sculptures and statues. In general we enjoyed our time here and it's a great place to take a break while touring the city. Toilets are available next to the voliere but they are not free, the fee is 0.8 EUR and payments can be made only in cash! There are no refreshment stands nor vending machines in the gardens. Last visited in August 2022.

One of the most beautiful places in Prague. It's the big courtyard of Senate parliament, with beautiful trees, fountains, free birds like peacock, pretty gold fishes in the small pool. Historical statues, a very peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a nice, romantic walk. The interesting point is you can't hear any extra noise from street, like cars or people...which makes the place very relaxing and peaceful. And the main building is also nice with old beautiful paintings on the ceiling.

I visited the place after spending few hours in Prague Castle. It was so unexpectedly beautiful and serene. There are a lot benches to relax. My favorite was the big pond that has fishes. No entrance fee.

Beautiful, free garden in Mala Strava (lesser town) with fountains, peacocks, and foliage. The entrance is tucked away and can be easy to miss. Overall, great place for a quick stroll.

Highly underrated and I think a must visit garden in Prague. I stumbled upon this garden by accident while taking a long morning walk through the city and I was so glad I did. It’s adjacent to Prague’s Senate, had school kids on a field trip when I was there, is extensive and varied and is free to enter! From one entrance, you’ll start at a large reflecting pool close to the metro / subway station. From another entrance, you begin in a formal garden organized in a more French style with statues, hedges and fountains. Peacocks roam wild and elaborate paintings decorate the underside of soaring colonnades. I could have stayed for half a day just to take photos of this garden! Allow yourself at minimum an hour if you enjoy gardens.

Beautiful quiet garden with a lovely pond feature. There are plenty of fish and ducks around. There is a greenhouse next to the pond with more tropical plants. There are two peacocks that roam freely in the garden, with one of them a rare albino peacock. The garden leads to the Waldstein Palace with benches dotted around the garden to relax in a quiet and pleasant environment. In one corner of the garden there is an artificial stalactite wall which also has an aviary next to it with exotic birds. There are plenty of statues around the garden depicting mythological characters.

A beautiful garden right next to a metro station. It's so gorgeous and serene that you HAVE to visit it. It's really close to some major attractions and it's definitely a nice way to escape the crowds.

Very beautiful garden. I could walk here for a long time, it's so peaceful. There are peacocks that strut around like they own the place (which they probably do), and beautiful fishes and statues. The senate which entrance is in the garden has a grand setup with statues lining the path towards it and a beautiful painted ceiling. There's also a specially formed wall where they hid resemblances of animals in.

Very very beautiful, in the garden there were 3 peacocks and 2 peahens, one of the peacocks was an albino. If you go into the palace you can see some of the halls which are beyond amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful and quite garden to spent your sunset. There is a peacock wandering, juat don't feed it. Closes till 7pm.

It's a pretty manicured garden, there is a history and current state senate mingled in one. It's small but pretty and there is also place for classical music concerts. While you are in Malostranská it's good to visit before you go explore either main attractions or getting into side streets to see the hidden gems. Btw always look up while in Prague you never know what you are going to spot :)

One of my favourite places in Prague! The garden is nice, especially in early spring, when the magnolia trees are in bloom! Other than that, you can enjoy the peacocks - and of you're lucky, you might even see their beautiful plumage in full action! There's also the grotto wall, the owls, the senate building, the statues, the view over the castle... 🥰

It can be seen that Mrs. Marie honestly loves her job. I warmly recommend. (Original) Byli jsme na komentované prohlídce v cyklu Vlastivědné procházky v Břevnovském klásteře. Baroque gardens fuse geometry and nature into a single experience. Every season and every view is precisely considered. You can't take a bad photo in these places. This garden features an owlery of eagle owls, and a few peacocks.

This garden is amazing. It's literally magical. I went there in the morning and kinda spent a bout 2 hours wandering about. It's full of green and historia. Alot of scattered statues all over the place. A nice fountain jn the middle that makes for awesome pictures. Also, the palace wall is amazing and should not be missed. There is a little lake I guess with some huge fish inside😥. And some other 2 or 3 random peacocks 🦚. You can go about it and enjoy a little stroll that is very refreshing. Recommended.

A Beautiful place to explore. Entrance is free. You Can meet few peacocks, included the famous white one. There is a lot of statues, couple of fontena and you Can reach the riding school (there is often exhibitions) and Senat through the garden. You Can eat on the benches. A nice place to rest and relax after castle visit.

Considering the gardens are freely accessible, they provide quite a sight. There are plenty of peacocks, lot of fish and even a voliere with owls. Architecture is intriguing and the plants very well kept. Should you enjoy gardens and plants, do not miss this one.

Amazing garden. Lots of places to sit. You'll see many people hanging out when the weather is nice. Peacocks walk around freely and might ask for food. Owls in cages can be found near a really cool sculpted wall. Musical performances are also scheduled and you can tour the paláce as well.

The biggest achievement of the so called Czech Republic as a democratic state next to the change scam is the introduction of the pay-toilet to Europe. Yep, the Czech Republic was the first to introduced the pay-toilets. Next time you are looking for 50p to pee remember who you have to thank for it. Small step for man big step for humanity… apparently the Czechs have misunderstood something along the road to so called Republic… Kafka may have written another Process if he was to take a walk in the "Republic" of the Czechs… There is no other country in the world which has sold his image for so less... Again what was the Prague Spring about and what those naïve people died for? For German second hand diesel cars, pay toilets and change mafia...

(Translated by Google) A really great place to breathe. I was here too short to see everything thoroughly, but still resting at such a well-kept pond gave me a lot of relaxation ...... A beautiful view not only of the fish pond, the alley with various statues but also the view of Prague on the hill. It is a pity that the peacocks did not spread the plume. It is worth coming here not only for a moment, but also for a few hours.
