This fountain is so called because it’s named after Jakub Wimmer, an 18th and 19th century Czech entrepreneur who donated the fountain to the city in 1797. The fountain is about 2 metres in diameter, with a sculpture as the centrepiece of the fountain. The sculpture depicts a boy presenting grapes to a girl, so it could be a neo-classical Bacchus allegory. The two stand under a canopy from which the water flows into the fountain. The sculpture is not “cool”, nor especially artistic or particularly interesting. Just about the only thing that’s useful about the fountain is the many restaurants and cafes around it, plus the Havelské market is also nearby.

A pretty fountain in the middle of the city, nothing too exciting. Sometimes few homeless people hang out here. P. S. Don't go in the closest restaurant across the street.

A very inconspicuous place in Prague, and that is its charm! Very quiet, very nice place to seat and watch life go by.

I really liked the place the first time I went there, so I went the second time... and got food poisoning. The food looks pretty authentic, tastes good and is pretty cheap... So if you don't mind the risk of getting food poisoning, you should definitely visit :)

Great fountain. It was quiet and perfect to rest, the water noise was relaxing. Close to places, and you can see people coming and going, passing by. Would fountain again👌.

One of the prettiest and largest squares. When the markets on you could spend the entire day here. Many beautiful churches and architectural delights. The winter market is wonderful @

Not sure what the story behind the fountain is, but nevertheless, it's a nice landmark. Bonus points for the period of blooming linden trees! The smell from the few linden trees around the fountain is simply heavenly!
