I've eaten at well over a hundred vegan restaurants in more than twenty countries, and this is one of my top five spots in the world. When I first came to Prague five years ago Sandokan instantly became my favorite restaurant in the city. And every year since, the owner makes everything just a little bit better. The food is healthy and delicious, and if you believe it makes a difference when your lunch is cooked by a happy person with great energy, then this is the place you need to eat. One of the things I like best about Sandokan Vegan Bistro is that it only cooks six hot items a day. This means that everything is super fresh when the restaurant opens around 11:15 AM, and nothing is hastily being thrown together by an overworked and stressed out chef. If I had my way, 80 percent of restaurants would be set up like this. It just makes so much sense. There are usually a few Indian-style items served, and often a couple veganized Czech dishes too (like sour bread and goulash). A gorgeous and super-fresh salad is always available. This cooking format also means the entrees are tried-and-true, since they've all been perfected from years of being prepared multiple times each month. All in all, Sandokan Vegan Bistro is flawless, and a must-visit if you like vegan food and are visiting the Czech Republic. My summers in Prague have consistently been among the best and most productive times of my life, in large part because I was being fueled every day by such extraordinarily good meals.

The best place all around Vinohrady in terms of everyday work lunch. The food is always great. The genius loci feels even better. The owner (Sandokan aka Strejda Uncle) is a guy with a sense of humour that I just love. He loves flowers and good music. This place is one of the local gems that make the capitol of this twisted country more habitable <3

Buffet was delicious and cheap!! Sandokan is a fairly cozy spot with a quaint indoor atmosphere filled with plants and plans. But the real story is the food. The buffet is hot and fresh, with options to satisfy all. The garlic sauce is savory, augmenting the delicious tastes of the freshly prepared vegetables and legumes.

This cute little buffer is a great place for a weekday lunch. The food is tasty (I think it changes from day to day - when we were there we could choose from different curries and falafel bowls), prices are reasonable, service is quick and you don't even have to make too many decisions since an option 'a little bit of everything' is available. The owner is very friendly and happy to chat & recommend other nice spots in Prague.

I am really sorry to ofer the lowest rate but I came here for the good rate it's on here. I've tried many other vegan places in Prague and this was so far the worst. I came around 15:00 but there was only 5 types you could choose from vegan buffet. One of them was extremely salty and I could not eat. All I could eat was the rice and potatoes with some vegan dressing, but still, nothing extraordinary. I did pay 200kc for the plate that was half of a normal plate one person would eat. In my opinion I don't recommend this place and I don't really get the hype of the place. Besides that, not really clean inside and the place itself needs maintenance.

The plate is 130czk and you can losd it up as much as you like. Amazing mushroom goulash and spicy rice noodles. They do not accept card payments.
