The palace is a classicist three-winged house with an honorary court on Hradczański Square. The building was commissioned in the years 1800-1811 by the Archbishop of Prague Vilem Florentin, Prince Salm-Salma, hence the name - Salmovsky Palace is often used.

Perfectly done! 2016 Now in 2019 it was even better. SALM MODERN #1: DIMENSIONS OF DIALOGUE - this was on. It was PERFECT. Keep in mind: if you do not like contrmporary art stay away and use your Time better. But if you do.. You are just in the perfect place.

Free student entry, very interesting artifacts. Beautiful building with even more beautiful views of the city with no tourist jams and selfie sticks. Visit!

The current exhibition didn’t have a consistent theme and felt like an arbitrary collection of pieces. The building is nice but it’s unclear how to walk through the exhibit because of many doors. There aren’t guards in each room so they follow you through the exhibit which is awkward. Some artworks weren’t well lit / too darkly lit which is a shame. Overall we weren’t impressed, even if some of the individual artworks were fantastic.

(Translated by Google) Super expo, great place and great price! Not to be missed in Prague, however it is not in any tourist guide. There are really very few people, whereas it is 10metres from the castle. Go for 4 € it's worth it. Do not go with little ones, the show is a little daring anyway.

Absurd fascist security guards and extremely poor internal management of basics - cloakroom, queue organisation and communication.

(Translated by Google) Admission was cheap and I just stopped by. You can see better works of contemporary artists elsewhere. I do not have a collection that I strongly recommend. It is like a museum designed to show the artistic diversity of Prague. If I could visit the National Museum of Korea, I would rather not pay the admission fee. All of them are below the collection level, but it is not surprising that they receive the entrance fee to that extent.

It's nice . Specially in Christmas time , u can find Christmas market with food up there. Very nice view to the city. U can fine a Starbucks coffee with the best view. Will not take u alot of time to get to the palace and the castle. Usually it colder than the old city area, so be carful. Many restaurants and coffee shops u can find on your way.

(Translated by Google) This Classicist house from the beginning of the 19th century is not an exceptional building, although in an exclusive location. Served in the 20th century. to all possible, many prominent personalities lived there. He was constantly decaying. It was lucky for him to be NG .. But I was impressed by his small garden on the south side with a beautiful cedar (atlas). There will probably be a convenient micro-climate, approaching the Mediterranean, so good. And looks at him and over him are beautiful.

The Classicist three-wing building of the Salm Palace at Hradčanské Square is the exhibition space of the National Gallery in Prague. The building was commissioned between 1800 and 1811 by Prague Archbishop Vilém Florentin, Prince Salm-Salm, designed by František Pávíček (Pawitschek) on the site where several smaller aristocratic residences used to stand. Originally it was a luxury apartment building, which belonged to the Schwarzenbergs since 1811. They connected it to the neighboring Schwarzenberg Palace. The palace served as the Prague residence of the Schwarzenbergs family until 1945. In the post-war period it was nationalized and used for foreign service. Since 2003, he has been in charge of the National Gallery. An extensive reconstruction took place in 2008 - 2012.

Great exhibitions and displays, definitely worth looking around (especially for the relatively cheap entry fee) even if just to get an hour of peace away from the tourist hotspot of Prague castle. The layout was slightly confusing, there were alot of doors which were locked or lead nowhere that were listed on the map as having artwork in them. Definitely go if you're interested in modern art - it gave off Tate Gallery vibes quite a bit.

The current exhibition of zenga was splendid and we really enjoyed it, but one member of the security staff ruined our experience by making very rude and impolite comments, I suggest a change of staff immediately if you want the next people visiting feeling comfortable.

(Translated by Google) At the time of our visit, there was a Dialogue Options exposure. Few exhibited works, generally chaotically arranged, did not exaggerate the exposure. Definitely should be free entry. But at least there were few people and there was peace. (Original) V čase našej návštevy prebiehala expozícia Možnosti dialogu. Málo vystavených diel, celkovo chaoticky usporiadané, de facto expozícia neohúrila. Určite by mal byť vstup zadarmo.

(Translated by Google) This is a nice varied exhibition. Good things and less good things. you have all seen it in an hour. Here I bought a combi ticket of 500 Kc, with which you cannot do anything else. If you go in here, buy the cheapest ticket and leave it there. The rest of the NGP museums are either to be paid separately or are not worth the effort. One of the National Gallery palaces. This one with temporary exhibitions of modern art. If you are art fan, you should visit it! To 01.12.2019 interesting exhibition "Dimensions of dialogue" with names like Abramowic, Warhol, Tinguely, Haring. Tickets are in good price (100/50 Kc) and free admission for people up to 26yo. Souvenir/bookstore and restaurant in building.
