Sooner or later, you should book a tour while you are in Prague. There are city tours, architectural tours, history, WWII, food tours and the Jewish Quarters tour. Day and I booked a Jewish Quarters tour through Toursbylocals, which we use all the time and are always happy with. I think a tour is the only way to fully appreciate this and the other five Synagogues in the Jewish Quarters. The Synagogues are beautiful and the history of Prague, the Jewish Quarters and WWII is incredibly interesting. A tour of the Jewish Quarters, the Cemetery and the six Synagogues is a must.

Maisel Synagogue is one of the historical monuments of the former Prague Jewish quarter. It was built at the end of the 16th century which is considered to be the golden age of the ghetto. Since then its appearance has changed several times, its actual style is neo-gothic

This part of the Jewish museum is really nice. I think it would be a good idea to visit all of the synagogues in the Jewish museum path. They are all very beautiful and have a lot of history.

A pretty nice synagogue. It has a lot of historic objects that are just amazingly displayed. It also has a lot of text about the Jewish people of Prague or in general. All of the text and objects are very well put together and there even is a huge touchscreen you can use to look at maps of how the Jewish part of town looked like or to see lots of other interesting things like an analysis of how jews are characterized and drawn by other cultures and much much more. The synagogue may be a bit less impressive in the looks department than the Spanish synagogue or the Jerusalem synagogue but it more than compensates for that with other thing previously mentioned.

An interesting museum about Jewish life in Prague from the middle ages to the 18th century. The building is nice too, but come here for the museum exhibition. As part of the combination ticket, it makes a really good introduction to Prague Jewish history.

Got a ticket with the tourguide (an app) on my phone. Multi-languages available. Indeed it helped me massively in understanding the history in the past, the story behind, what this building/objective represents. With the app I felt like indeed I slowed down my pace in feeling these attractions because I was listening carefully, rather than simply come and go. This is a small but interesting place. In the guide it tells a lot of interesting story of Maiselova and stories behind the object. It also helped me to slow down and listen to what they are telling me, rather than just come, take pictures and finish the journey!

(Translated by Google) The ticket is very expensive, there is not so much to see, even if you buy the "complete" ticket. There should be explanations in English on the signs. The audio guide was very bad, it explained little about the place. I didn't like the tour. (Original) O ingresso é muito caro, não tem tanto o que ver, mesmo comprando o ingresso "completo". Deveria ter explicações em inglês nas plaquinhas. O áudio guia era muito ruim, pouco explicava sobre o local. Não gostei do passeio.

Also very good if you are interested in history with some ancient pieces to see. For example an ancient poem can be listened to describing a pogrom in Prague.

Tried to purchase tickets to visit the synagogue but the “customer service” gentleman was so rude in his response to my question as to which ticket to purchase. If you want people to visit and appreciate the culture, then pucker up, and give a good customer service to the visitors. Not a stroppy dismissive tone!

Although there's information inside and it was an interesting visit if you have bought the Jewish Museum ticket for all the synagogues the others are definitely worth visiting before this one as there is less to see.

Part of the complex of synagogues in Prague’s Old Town The Maiselova Synagogue is a beautiful old synagogue near the Old Town Square. The interior is devoted primarily to remembering the history of the Jewish community in the Czech lands from the Middle Ages and onwards, with all the sadness and travails that were endured by the community during that time. The tickets for this synagogue are not sold individually and are instead part of the wider ticket that is sold. So it is best to plan to see this in conjunction with the other nearby synagogues, such as Pinkasova, Spanelska, etc.

We got the combo ticket to go to all the Jewish Quarter synagogues. The Spanish synagogue was closed for restoration, so I can't attest to that, but of all the ones we visited this was my favorite. It's a beautiful building first of all, but also has a good museum exhibit on Jewish history in Europe. If you like reading the signs, this is a good place. The other synagogues feel a bit more dimly lit and are by the cemetery.

(Translated by Google) Located in the Jewish quarter, it is a few hundred meters from the cemetery. It can be visited with a cumulative ticket that can be purchased at the entrance to the cemetery. It takes its name from Mordechai Maisel who was mayor of the Jewish quarter and one of the wealthiest men in the city in the 16th century. It also tells the traditions and glimpses of life of the Jews of Prague before and during Nazism. Paying attention to visiting hours is often open to the public only for groups.
