We liked Don Giovanni performance, music and vocals came was only a recording but still very high-quality. It was very fun. If you want to have good seat place, you better arrive early. Wooden seats were very old and uncomfortable. Worth of the money

I went this place for my son but he didn't like it so much. He said the puppets looked so creepy to him but I enjoyed the show.

The walk into this theatre gave me a quaint vibe and old feel immediately, in a good way. The show was entertainingly old school and I realized that black light theatre reminded me of early days green screen technology. Performers were engaged, and engaging to watch. The whole show had an Alice in Wonderland whimsicality to it. I liked the post show mini-workshop where audience are told how some scenes were done. Even the quaint, small theatre was fun to sit in. I enjoyed this very much. It is a dying theatre form and I would say go see it.

Since puppets are one of the Czech Republic’s greatest traditional handcrafts, the National Marionette Theater is the place to enjoy and witness professional puppeteers in action. The theatre is located in the old town of Prague and it represents the modern version of the puppet theatre back in the 17th century. The average size of the theatre has a rather small stage but good enough for the show. The wooden puppets were dressed in beautiful costumes and the puppets look as if they are alive during the show. I personally enjoyed the humorous and engaging performance despite that the language presented during the performance was in Italian. Nevertheless, program books in different languages were available and can be purchased before the show.

Quaint little theatre, almost a hole in the wall until you go down the steps and enter an entirely different world. The theatre was basic but the chairs were uncomfortable and cramp. The show was basic but the effort by the cast was incredibly great. If you have an evening to spare, drop by and treat yourself to a show.

Nostalgic retro theatre with old wooden chairs, so painful to sit for 2 hours. Watched Don Giovanni - some effects were unexpected, fun and engaging but for the most part the entire show was a bit slow and repetitive. Marionettes were not in best condition, would expect more of the "National Theatre" tag. Could use some refurbishment both the venue and the puppets.

Wonderful show. Very creative. Seats are hard because theater is older. Staff is very friendly and speaks English. Small concession inside. Only stairs to get down so not wheelchair accessible although they offer to assist.

If you are visiting Prague, seeing a performance at the National Marionette Theater is a must. Don Giovanni is spectacular and funny, but but don't bring children that can't sit quietly for 2 hours.

It's hard to understand what they are saying, because all language is said into song. I'll not see this show again if I visit Prague later. It's boring.

A very lovely opera - but in puppet version! The puppets and stage were very beautiful, so was the hall, and the players were amazing. The play was very funny. The performance overall was magical and made Prague just a little extra special. The only downside I can think of is that it was, for young travelers, a little expensive.
