In my opinion, this is by far the best museum in Prague. Every detail, the exhibits they choose, the staff and the infrastructure itself make it one of the coolest places for me. I wish it would open earlier!

It's a huge art space but unfortunately not just about art. It resembles more a children's animation center. The exhibitions shown there were also poorly described and the artworks without any concept placed. It felt super artificial everything. I would just recommend it for parents with kids who want to spend their day in an "artsy environment".

I really loved this place. Is very clean and easy to navigate. During my visit there was wonderful exhibition but I liked the permanent exhibition about history of internet and then whole room full of artificial intelligence facts and art pieces. There is beautiful and rather big gift/ book shop with nice design books and cutlery and jewellery. There is little snack bar up the floor and also huge wooden zeppelin which u can visit on the rooftop. Is something like audience hall but it’s still worth to pay a visit up there. Adult entry was 250czk.

I've sent a good number of Prague visitors to DOX. It's been always my first recommendation when asked about galleries. People from different backgrounds and different countries, all were amazed by the exhibitions and loved them. I'm proud of saying we have a gallery like DOX in Prague.

The museum is far from the old town area, but you can take Bolt or Uber, and bolt is cheaper when I compare the price. Anyhow, the museum's architecture is beautiful. It's not free, you have to pay for tickets but there not expensive, and if you are a student, you will get a discount. The exhibition that I liked was Vladimír Doležal, and Moldovan painter. The cafe is located between buildings A and B, and the staff is super friendly. They also have a lovely gift shop with lots of great book selections. I would revisit it when they change the exhibition.

Great modern art museum with surprising a LoT to see and do, quality exhibitions curated with care. Funky building with nooks and crannies that I enjoyed. May take a few trips back to the beginning to get to every part of the museum. Everything from the top to bottom was utilized, even spotted big statues and pieces randomly hanging out outside the building. I suppose they get more notice in the summer when he weather is nice. Had a bit to drink at the museum cafe too, probably the most fairly priced museum cafe I've experienced to date.

Always a great experience. Well worth a visit. Entry is 280kč for a standard ticket. Students and children have discounts. DOX has a website showing the featured artists and themes which I recommend checking first. This visit. Interactive film about the war in Ukraine really was worth the entry fee alone. The other exhibitions were also fantastic. If you like contemporary art, then I would recommend visiting.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting an art gallery that left me utterly captivated and inspired. The exhibition, held at DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, was a truly immersive experience that seamlessly blended creativity, technology, and human emotion. From the moment I stepped through the gallery's entrance, I was greeted by an atmosphere that transcended traditional art spaces. The lighting was artfully designed to highlight each piece while maintaining an overall ambience that enhanced the viewer's mood. The layout of the exhibition was well-thought-out, guiding visitors through a carefully curated journey of artistic expression. One of the standout features was the incorporation of multimedia elements. Several installations combined visual art with audio, creating an almost ethereal effect. As I moved from piece to piece, I could hear subtle soundscapes that resonated with the art's themes, further immersing me in the artist's world. This thoughtful combination of mediums elevated the experience and made it more than just a visual encounter. What truly set this gallery apart was the interaction encouraged between the art and the audience. Instead of just passive observation, some installations invited viewers to participate, blurring the lines between creator and spectator. This participatory aspect not only deepened my connection to the artwork but also fostered a sense of community among visitors as we shared our interpretations and reactions. The diversity of the artwork on display was also remarkable. Traditional paintings hung alongside contemporary digital pieces, sculptures, and even interactive virtual reality experiences. This eclectic mix ensured that there was something for every art enthusiast, regardless of their preferred medium or style. In conclusion, my visit to DOX Centre for Contemporary Art was an unforgettable journey into the world of art. The blend of traditional and modern approaches, the integration of multimedia, and the interactive nature of the experience all combined to create a truly immersive and captivating environment. If you're looking for an art gallery that goes beyond the conventional and offers a transformative encounter with creativity, I wholeheartedly recommend paying a visit to this remarkable gallery.

Modern gallery and a shop with contemporary art. They sell art books, jewellery, crockery etc. There is entrance fee. At the roof, there is a performance space in shape of an airship.

I was there for the firts time in 2014 and the exhibition was really good. But I came back the last summer and the temporary exhibition was beautiful. Skulls, flowers.. live and death. Whenever I'm going to Prague, I will be there for sure.

If you have some spare time in Prague and like modern art it's worth a visit. Takes about two to three hours. When visiting walk around the district of Holešovice, it's a nice and not touristy neighborhood of Prague.

Favourite museum in Prague! I go back every single time I’m in town. So far I have never been disappointed. Exhibitions are very diverse, well curated, always leave you thinking. Also a great place to buy original jewellery if you can afford it. The cafe with a rooftop terrace and the museumshop are accessible free of charge.

Staff seems friendly and building itself is nicely designed. I was a bit disappointed with the exception, though. The theme is death, a very touching subject. One particular piece really touched me and one or two other made me raise an eyebrow, but the rest was just one giant Ed Hardy T-shirt. Maybe the next exhibition will be better.

Fantastic exhibition "Great Expectations". Hardly suggest to all lovers of expressive contamporary art. Interesting selection of 2 generation of living Czech artist.

it is a five, especially if someone visits the current exhibitions: not light ones though, theme is the war — unless you start going up the floors so it gets more n more quirky... only three photos, since that material is meant to be seen through a real contact with the place. by the way, two hours is the absolute minimum you should spend over there, otherwise i cannot see how you won’t miss a bunch of curiosities

Beautiful contemporary gallery always packed with interesting exhibitions. We visited among others the exhibition of young Czech artist Jan Vytiska (*1985): The Ritual of Cursed Hearts. Really interesting combination of archetypal creatures and folclor. There is a really nice bookstore, where you can buy jewelry, porcelain, books etc. of new Czech artists. Airship on the roof as bonus. Definitely recommend, definitely a place to come back and keep coming.

Second time in Prague, second time I couldn't pass DOX. The architecture of the building itself, with the added beauty of a zeppelin on its roof, alone makes you crave for modern art. It's full of nooks and crannies, and that certainly influences how the art is presented and perceived. We were a bit unlucky, arriving at a day when there was only one of three exhibitions available, due to rebuilding of the other two, but also this time their exhibition(s) stilled my hunger for a trip into other worlds of thinking. If you enjoy modern or post-modern art in general, and enjoy a local touch and influence, DOX will probably be the right place for you, often including art and artists from Czech and surrounding countries. Don't miss out on enjoying a coffee on the terrace, sitting on oversized plastic sofas and looking at a sneaker Jesus on the wall.

As you know, there are not many interesting galleries or museums in Prague. However, DOX is one of the exceptions, where you will always find interesting exhibitions.

One of my favorite places in Prague. Definitely one of the three best art contemporary art centers I’ve ever seen. The architecture the design the quality of the shows. Do not miss it. Worth the walk across an otherwise bland industrial neighborhood.

This museum was amazing and one of my favorite things on my recent trips to Prague. It has such a great mix of contemporary works from global artists, a very refreshing and welcome break from Prague’s many typical tourist attractions. It also has a cute cafe with a picturesque outdoor area. There’s also a very fascinating ongoing exhibition about AI and facial recognition technologies, really fascinating and thought provoking. Also the gift shop is one of the best curated museum gift shops I’ve seen, a lot of really great original glass and ceramic pieces, great for an atypical souvenir! Highly recommended for art lovers.

I recently visited the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, drawn by the allure of modern art. Upon entering, I was greeted by a sea of concrete — an austere setting that framed the 2D pieces on the walls. The art, while intriguing, felt a bit daunting and at times monotonous. I even ventured into a screening, hoping for a spark of engagement, but found myself longing for more. The location was convenient, and I easily parked on the street nearby (paid, of course). A stroll led me to Holešovice Market, a lively place in the vicinity, adding a dash of vibrancy to the day. But it was the DOX's rooftop that truly captured my imagination. A zeppelin perched high above, a fascinating contrast to the rigid lines below. This whimsical touch lingered in my mind, a beacon of creativity in an otherwise stern environment. If you're a lover of modern art and appreciate a minimalist setting, DOX might be for you. For me, it was the unexpected — the zeppelin, the nearby Holešovice Market — that turned a potentially dull outing into something memorable. It's a place where the concrete speaks as loudly as the art, and where imagination takes flight on the rooftop.

A few very interesting things to see, many mediocre things but the number one thing to see here is closed exhibits. I hope things get better for them.

Beautiful exhibition hall. Good variation of offer. Although only 3 exhibitions were open for visit, it took us several hours to discover and enjoy the works. We finished off on the summer terrace outdoors on the topfloor with excellent home made lemonades ;-)

This was a very cool museum with loads of interesting art. The price for the gallery was not too expensive, and there was many different types of artwork as well. Another great thing about this museum is that it’s not in the most touristy part of Prague, so that you can see different places of the city as well.

Loved this labyrinthine art space with the captivating contemporary exhibitions. The Gulliver is a ‘ship’ prominently standing on top of the building, peculiar and great. The exhibitions where thoughtfully laid out and the museum shop is one of the best I’ve seen in similar institutions. Would definitely return, on every Prague visit.

(Translated by Google) Good exhibitions and in addition you will not meet many people here, because it is a large space. Plus there is a shop and bookstore, cafe, bistro in the building. The white painting and minimalist equipment is brutal to orient, but it's instafriendly again. Upstairs airship - clear, good, not very dizzy. It's such a big chill show zone. Building has great potential for cultural and artistic events. Navigation could be more logical, because it's easy to lost way there. Decision of visit should be based on actual exhibitions.
