If you are looking for Latin American food this is the place to go. The food is not the most authentic but it does taste amazing, their portions are huge! And the frozen margaritas are honestly one of the best I’ve tried in Prague. Nachos are my favourite here 🤩

Great Mexican place with some extra dishes from other South American countries. The fajitas were absolutely delicious, and the nachos with various toppings were simply perfect. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the music fitted the place.

La Casa Blu in Prague offers a unique dining experience that blends Mexican, Tex-Mex, and South American cuisines. This restaurant is located in the Stare Mesto (Old Town) of Prague, just a short distance from the Zidovske Muzeum v Praze. It's a popular spot, ranking #10 among Mexican restaurants in Prague and #438 out of 4,701 restaurants in the city. The food at La Casa Blu is known for its large portions and delicious flavors. The menu features an eclectic mix of Mexican, Tex-Mex, and South American dishes, with a leaning towards Tex-Mex. Some of the highlights include their nachos, which are noted for their generous size, and the chili con carne, which has received positive remarks for its taste. The atmosphere of La Casa Blu adds to its appeal. It's a place where the vibe is lively, and the service is commendable. The staff is friendly and proficient in English, making it a comfortable spot for international visitors. In terms of pricing, the restaurant is reasonably affordable, with a price range of $7 to $16. It offers a variety of cuisines including Mexican, Latin, and Central American, along with a bar. This makes it a versatile dining option for various occasions, whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or just some drinks and snacks. Overall, La Casa Blu stands out for its fusion of flavors, generous portions, and friendly service, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a blend of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisines in the heart of Prague.

The bad review is mainly because of the dishonesty of the restaurant. They required us to pay entrance fee of 6 EUR p.p. even though there are still a lot of unreserved tables. I got a peek on their reservation list and it had only a few names. Even after we sat for 1.5 hours, a lot of tables remained empty and unreserved. The food tastes so-so. The nachos preparation was not well thought. They put the chili on top of a heap of nachos. So the nachos didn't stay crispy for a long time. It’s a big portion that can't be finished in a short time, so they should think about how to retain the crispiness of the nachos for longer time. Another scam is their still water, which comes in a jug. It's just tap water with some lemon slices and mint leaves. If it's really mineral water, it should come from unopened bottle. Overall, I don't recommend this restaurant because of their dishonesty. UPDATE for the owner: don't act like those tables were reserved, people upon people that came paid the service fees. Meaning they're not reserved. Also, don't act f noble that you opened your restaurant for tourists to have fun on New Year eve. You could have closed your restaurant and give your employees time to spend with their family. You just want to make money by scamming uninformed tourists. Just admit it, Jorge.

I like the place and the friendly service but was disappointed with the food. It was tasteless and not the best quality. When I order raspberry margarita for 179 czk I expect fresh or frozen raspberries, not artificial flavoured syrup, tasted very cheap. The food and drinks are not worth the money.

Preise vollkommen in Ordnung.

Staff were friendly but the consensus amongst the 3 of us was that the tacos should be hotter. I had the vegetarian taco. Tasted great otherwise. I had similar at a place in Cardiff so it could be a tacos thing. A tip is not to have a table by the door to avoid the cooler air. Good choice of beers and efficient service.

We decided that we were going to have some Latin American food for lunch during our day in Prague and went to check out this establishment. Although it's not necessarily popping out from the street it's located at and there is no clear sign that this is La Casa Blu (it's not even blue, lol) - once you step inside it's such a cozy and inviting environment. The food was amazing, as well as the service and music! Definitely try some of the dishes from their Specialties menu. Highly recommend you give this place a visit!

Loved this place! So sad I found the place the last night in Prague, would've gone back a few more times if i had known sooner. Best food with exceptional services. Even pico de gallo was top-notch. Ordered the ice tea but ended up loving my friend's raspberry lemonade more lol.

I recently visited "La Casa Blu" with my colleagues and had a great experience. The restaurant offers delicious Latin American dishes that left us impressed. The atmosphere was perfect for a casual hangout with friends or colleagues. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and efficient lady attending to our needs promptly. It's always a delight when the staff makes you feel welcomed and valued. Overall, dining at "La Casa Blu" was a pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of Latin American cuisine in the heart of Prague's Old Town. Additionally, I must mention that the portion sizes at "La Casa Blu" were quite generous. We were pleasantly surprised by the ample amount of food served, which made the dining experience even more satisfying. You won't leave hungry after enjoying their flavorful Latin American dishes.

Pros- basically everything… is the best mexican restaurant in Prague. Nachos are amazing and the beef they use for the quesadillas is extremely tasty. The local has a very cool atmosphere. Cons- if you order a dish of Nachos. They give you homemade nachos but the nachos they add as a side dish on the main dishes are not homemade…xD

Awesome place if you want to take it easy. The food is really honest. Not inventive, but just done right and heartily. Good selection of beers. Right music.

Cozy and friendly space, both indoors and outdoors, with very kind and friendly staff and great food with significant portions. The food quality is really good and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely would recommend it. We actually visited this place two times during our residence here, which is a thing we don’t usually do when we visit a city.

Pigged out on the "Nachos for 2" with chicken. It was delicious! Chips were fresh made and not from a bag. Plentiful toppings and after eating more than I should have, they graciously packed up my leftovers to go home. Strawberry and raspberry margaritas were very good, but were half melted since they were forgotten at the bar for quite a while. Sorry no pictures this time...I was really hungry and the nachos didnt look too pretty after I started to dig in. Loved them and would definitely come back and order again.

When we got there it was very nice. We immediately got seated. They had a variety of different options. Right away they came to take our orders. The staff were very kind to us. Under 10 minutes we got all our food. They didn’t miss a thing. It was very nice and filling. So glad we went there. -Amelia, age 11

Food was quite ok, the place is a bit messy so the tables are old fashioned and dirty. We waited more than 40 minutes for 4 meals even the restaurant was almost empty. The result was satisfying.
