JUNGLE Holešovice

Rock climbing centre

👍👍 Cool little gym, quite techy setting as others have mentioned and no air con so it can take a bit of adjusting if you're used to cooler climates! (I'm from the UK and didn't think it was unbearably hot, but your mileage may vary). The staff are friendly and speak good English, there's lockers, show... People often mention climbing, routes, climb, nice, hall,

Awesome place. Small gym but with challenging routes. I believe that I will be visiting it more often :)

Very old school technical wall, a 30-40 minute walk away from the center. I came on a hot day and there's no air conditioning, and I got a bit of a case of heat stroke from climbing here, as the 3 barely functioning fans don't do enough to cool the place. The route setting is a little boring. Very technical but without a lot of diversity. Reminds me a lot of the old school setting of the past. While it's fun to climb technical style problems, it's definitely not fun to climb only technical problems. The mattress here is the old school super firm grey one - which makes climbing here a little dangerous, as it's very easy to get hurt by accident. There are some more cushioned mattresses that you can move around laying across the place, but they're heavy and having to drag a huge mattress with you for every problem isn't fun. Come here if you want to suffer and get stronger. Don't come here to actually enjoy yourself. I didn't. On the positive entrance fee is cheap and you don't need to register. They also accept cards (some reviews mentioned that they don't, but it looks like they do now.)

I actually love this place. Very technical climbing as someone else said, but the routes also require a lot of powerful moves. All of the holds of the same climb are the same color rather than using tape, which is something I prefer. They do have a MoonBoard here, which is a huge plus in my eyes, and the style of routesetting also seems to emulate board-style climbing in my amateur opinion. It's not too crowded, and a part of the wall is actually a large door that opens up to the outside to get ventilation. Honestly my favorite place in Prague, beating even the more modern gyms in the greater area. They accept cash and card, and it's a competitive price!

They are renewing it, and it's going to look LIT! I have been looking for a bouldering places in Prague, and this is THE BEST! You will have to register first at the cash desk. It costs around 120kcz for the entrance, and you can stay as much as you like. You xan also borrow shoes from there but it will cost 40kcz. You get a locker to use. The bar serves decent food and protein shakes. But they serves beer as well. Its so big and has a lot of obstacles to challenge yourself. And before I forget, there is a student discount from Monday to Friday before 2:00 pm. So try to take advantage of it. 😉

Lovely place, amazing staff who kept asking me if I needed anything or some explanation about the routes and all. Good routes and difficulty. It's cash only but the atm is around the corner and they don't mind you taking a minute. Just make sure not to be in a rush.

I visited the BoulderBar just once when I was in Prague just for two days. The gym is pretty nice, with a big variety of boulder routes, walls and holds. There is a bar with couple of tables at the entrance and 5 halls of boulders. The first hall is the best and the main bouldering spot in the whole gym with a big variety of boulders. There is also top rope / lead climbing wall in the second hall, the third hall is also bouldering hall but with lower grade routes. The fourth hall is for children and the fifth hall is the hall of the boards (there is a moon-board too). Changing room and WC was also nice. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the place seemed to be very empty of people which made kinda abandoned atmosphere in general, but can’t say that it is common as I have been there just once.

Former best boulder in Prague, but since reconstruction the climbing area shrunk x3 and variety dropped significantly, while crowding, which was an issue before, became worse. If you are fairly advanced and can climb outside most crowded hours - it's still a recommend.

You can pre-register online - just remember your login and password! Very friendly staff at reception. It can get busy. There is a little stretching room through the bouldering main room. Very nice, we went back the next day! You can pay a deposit for a locker too :)

Super nice staff and bar. The bouldering routes were fine although very difficult (the lowest difficulty definitely did not match the lowest difficulty in the Netherlands or Bratislava). This can be good if you are advanced or searching for challenges but maybe not for a total beginner 🥲

Looks nice, but it’s cash only. So I didn’t climb. The minimum amount you have to withdraw at the ATM is to much and you have to pay a handling fee of about 4 euros. Unable to pay with card is somewhat old fashioned. As a foreigner I wouldn’t go here again.

You should update your opening hours here. I drove half an hour and paid for the parking just to be told, that they are opening at 17:45. Nothing is written about it here... pathetic.

We tried a different climbing place, and it was a really good choice. Boulder bar has no walls for rope climbing, so you can leave the harness home, here is all about technique and training. You have to take a couple minutes to figure out the difficulty chart, the colors don't really matter in showing the difficulty, just the route itself. Most of them are over hangers, but there are some routes for children/beginners. Absolutely reccomended to switch up your climbing problems, and be forced to try different approaches and motive your technique.

Top indoor climbing gym. Low key, but perfect to practice finger strength and solving boulder problems. Friendly staff and easy going locals.

Nice small climbing gym. Can be fun but since it's a small place, if you go during peak hour it's gonna be quite crowded. The routes are interesting, but you have to figure them out yourself, there is no real grading, and often the starting holds are not marked. Would reccommand, but maybe not for a lone beginner

A lot to climb but not for very beginners. High-quality rental shoes and not at all crowded which was nice.

Location ok, Versorgung in Ordnung, Sauberkeit 👍, Kletterrouten naja geht so, sehr viel für Kinder, ziemlich kalt in allen Räumen und eher kleine Location, Preis-Leistung angemessen.

It looked quite nice. I couldn't climb though because cards are not accepted and I didn't have crowns. There is an ATM nearby but you must withdraw a fair amount of money with bad conversion rates.

(I'm from the UK and didn't think it was unbearably hot, but your mileage may vary). The staff are friendly and speak good English, there's lockers, showers, campus board, moonboard, circuit board, spray wall, beastmakers, a small warmup/gym room and a little café area. Price wise it was very reasonable as well, slightly cheaper than most UK gyms in fact. I'll definitely be back when I'm next in Prague :)

Lowering my rating to 3.5 stars instead of 5 Why auto-login can’t be setup? Automate! Write me if you need help with that! Well, it’s a center for all variety of levels of p...

😠 Centre has a lot of potential but it's not realised. Would be a great place if it had auto belays. Bouldering was rather small and lacking. The bit that really grinds my gears was the unhelpful staff member. The centre is located in what I can only describe as a warehouse/industrial area, down a lon...

👍👍 Best climbing gym at Prague by far.. not because it’s all new, super big & complete. It’s the best because the training equipment, it’s amazing like few pull-up bar + weights.. something that any other gym was able to setup. I don’t understand it. But anyway, this is a good gym for climbing training

👍 Great climbing gym with a variety of route difficulties and types, includes a semi-outdoor hall. Not the fastest rate of route renewal is the only criticism I can think of.

😠 The boulder area is small and cramped, I sprained my ankle when I fell on a guy standing right below me. Won't be going back until they teach basic climbing gym etiquette to people.
