Rude service, feeling of being unwanted and disappointing food summarize the whole experience pretty well. Me and my friends went out to eat and from the get go received a lukewarm reception. We then got to ordering and it constantly felt like the waiter was frustrated with us for both thinking about what to eat and also asking anything from him. He also made us feel like we weren't wanted there or like we weren't "good enough" to be there. My friend also asked to see a menu for the whiskey and the waiter just simply left without saying anything. He then came back with the menu only to say that it is not up to date and just told to look at the walls. Overall the experience with service was that we felt like us being there was "inconvenience" to the server and that he'd rather not deal with us. Regarding the food l ordered the the burger which was rather expensive and I have to say that I was not too impressed with it and was sort of left with the feeling that I could have eaten the same thing in any other burger place and pay half the price. To close out the night when my friends refused to tip due to the bad service he was handed his change with 33 coins and the same thing was done to my other friend. This felt like it was done out of spite and I think it is beyond petty to do things like this if the service does not warrant a tip. In all other places we left a tip due to receiving quality service. We do not have a problem with giving it but we will not be guilt into doing if it is not earned. Overall, the whole experience just left a rather sour taste into our mouths and left us wondering what was the discrepancy between our experience and between all of the people with rave reviews.

Wonderful dinner location in the center of Prague. W Restaurant is known for their whiskey selection but have great wine options as well. Reasonable prices and portions for the quality of food and experience. Making reservations online was very easy and it is a short walk from the main square. We had a great time and highly recommend this spot for your visit.

It was delicious. I have nothing else to say, it was perfect. The waitress were welcoming with a fast service and the place was very beautiful! Don’t hesitate, go it there.

Bit hidden place in centre of Prague where you can enjoy fantastic atmosphere, great food selection and polite service. If you like whisky or rum prepare to be overwhelmed by possible selection, if not wine is great choice as well - loved red one (maybe a bit too much;-). Looking forward to visit again.

"W" Restaurant & Whiskey Bar is amazing. Justyna wasgreat at helping me make a reservation. She answered emails quickly and followed up to make sure I was having a good time. The food was well played and tastesd amazing. Now, let's talk about their whiskey selection: they have a great offering of scotch, bourbon, Japanese and Irish whiskeys. I tried a few glasses and really enjoyed them all. I would recommend to anyone that wants to enjoy good whiskey and good food. Dennis, one of the cooks is also a great guy.

Nice, modern bar and restaurant with great selection of whisky. We only had appetizers but it was great and other food I noticed on other tables looked delicious. The staff was nice and helpful but our waiter also quickly realized we know our way around whisky and didn't try to tire us with monologues about it. One minus is the lack of whisky menu, so you have to walk around the bar to browse and you have no clue about the price. On the other hand I expected significantly higher bill and was pleasantly surprised by reasonable prices.

Restaurant W was the first restaurant I visited in Prague and it really raised the bar. Its interior made a very good impression on us, even though it was down stairs on underground level. Modern style combined with many bottles on the shelves, sophisticated menu, beautiful plating, very tasty food. The place is dedicated to whiskey and there is a very rich collection of single malts. Some of their dishes have smoky whiskey embedded in them, making them remarkable. For vegans, there are great dishes- joy for the eye and the stomach. I highly recommend W restaurant, watch the video to get more impression.

Went there as first customer for the day and had the entire place to ourselves. George, who was the host was absolutely fabulous and has a great sense of humor. Made us comfortable,took our orders and had helpful suggestions. Food was great and just the right size portions. Decor is nice and the whiskey collection seems nice.

Great whiskey selection. Over 1000 different bottles some very unique. The service was bad and slow and the food was good but nothing special. The Rib eye steak was bad but steak fllet was great. Check the actual whiskey prices with the waiter as they increased prices from what the menu said. It looks cheap but the portions of the whiskey are tiny compared to what you get on a bar.

For the people looking for a chill ambiance with good food, good wine and excellent whiskey propose by very pleasant persons. I fully recommend this restaurant!

Loved the vibe and design of this place. Has steak and veggies dish. Honestly I loved the veggie dish more haha. The only bummer is they didn't have draft beer.

We were celebrating my birthday, a group of 9 guys on a friday evening looking for a nice place to eat - they could book us in within 10minutes (we called 9 places and none of them wanted to even try and reserve a table) We had a nice welcome, all waiters were really nice and helpful and we felt like they were professionals which added a good feeling to our dinner! Food was really good, some small things like the bun was a bit too crusty but each to their own. Cocktails were not too impressive (Irish coffee 2/5, Negroni 3/5 and Whiskey Sour 3.5/5, but the Espresso Martini 5/5 nailed it) The athmosphere is relaxed and perfect for more private dinners. I want to give it a 4.5/5 because the cocktails need a bit of work still

Everything was cool. thanks to the man with glasses that cut the meat. he's really cool. It raises the level of service in the restaurant. The young staff was disappointing. They are not trained in table etiquette ... but in general it is very atmospheric and very tasty. great variety of whiskeys. Affordable prices for every budget. we will definitely come back again. I haven't been to the place yet, but the delivery part of the business seems really exceptional. The quality of the food, packaging different parts separately so nothing gets soggy and mushy, simply the best delivery experience I've had so far (not just in Prague). Well done!

If you love Whiskey, definitely a must see. The "W" offers more than hundreds different kind from all around the world. The food was incredibly good and very tasty, also the location itself is a looker!

A well deserved 5/5. Having steak and sipping whiskey was marvelous. The place has a huuuuuge whiskey menu, sorted by regions and everything, but in truth, there’s hundreds of bottles on the walls everywhere. You can just go, have a look around, pick one and you can have that one. It’s so nice! And the selection is impressive! So many nice whiskey I’ve always wanted to try but never had the chance! And the food was on par, really perfectly cooked steak, accompanying the whiskey greatly!

Steak and sides were good. Relatively pricy for Praha. Even if you get great quality this restaurant plays in one league with grill royal in Berlin or Wolfgang’s in New York when it comes to price. Ambient wasn’t my style. Don’t get me wrong the location looks great but you sit at high tables on a barchair which is not the best if your looking to enjoy your 150euro steak. Super quite and not really vibrant.

Very tasty experience, nice music and polite staff. We tried the goat and cheese salad, the sweet potato and the fish with risotto. Quality fits the price.

Of all the restaurants for take away - this must be the best I tried. The flavours, the presentation... it honestly felt like we were out for dinner during these weird times of staying in. It was delicious!! Thanks team :)

Service far below average. They can not meet the expectations up front and how they present it. Service started okay, as soon we ordered they forget us. Beef was close to acceptable pricing. Presentation combined with service just absolutely not good enough. The place looks great but they need to improve quality and service!

I saw few places with enthusiastic owner, with passion for alcohol, like rum or whiskey. But this place amazed me, never saw so spectacular collection of whiskey. Kitchen is like cherry on a top of that all. I can and must only recommend.

The food was good, one of the steaks was a bit overcooked, but overall very good. The sauces were amazing - best ever! The atmosphere and interior are great! In terms of whisky - it could be better. Most of the bottles on the menu I wanted to try - were missing and the personnel, while being very friendly and nice, new very little about the drinks they serve. If you go to "a whisky place" and pay 5k for 2 people, you would expect a bit more.

The restaurant itself looks great. Modern interior, chique. If you like whisky, it's the place to be in Prague, with hundreds of different whisky's against the walls. If you don't drink whisky, it still looks great. The food is fine, not special. Friendly staff/owners. Recommended if you like a very clean and modern restaurant and whisky. If you just want great food, we have visited better restaurants in Prague. But of course: everyone has different taste.

The food was delicious, and the desserts were out of this world...the whiskey selection is also something crazy, and the owners know every single one of the many bottles they have! We did not dare to go for the fancier meats, but it certainly looked like they knew their meats!

A very nice place with a large choice of whiskey (and other alcohol too). We've tried fillet mignon there and it was very tasty. I liked that it was not crowded there and the atmosphere (light, music) is very comfortable

Really nice and accepting stuff, they all work with a smile, the place designed just perfect for the atmosphere. The food was really really good!! The US steak was just on point. The chef come and cut it for me at the table. Amazing experience, I didn't even talk about the alcohol because there are so many! I'm serious- I never seen so much alcohol in my life in a restaurant.. would come back for sure in my next trip to Prague

The food was phenomenal, superb, perfectly cooked.. the chicken thigh was so tasty, tender and perfectly charred… the restaurant is pretty, clean and the waiters are al attentive… worth the money $.. Would definitely recommend👍

Very attentive staff, knowledgeable of the whisky's and helpful around the table. We were a party of 10 and not one thing went wrong etc. The food was very good, a friend said the steak was like butter, cooked to perfection and cut in front of you as well. Compared to UK prices as well it's worth the money. Was £35 for 2 beers, Chicken Thigh and dessert.

The food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was really friendly :) I had a beetroot carpaccio and it was very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to food lovers, it is heaven!
