The hotel is kept nice with old Baroque style and good location, but no air-conditioning, no elevator and extremely noisy location. There is a disco place under neat open till 5 A.M. It's bustling street. Reception desk was not very friendly. We paid cash everything -the stay, the city tax and after leaving the hotel they charge us additional 10 euros through the card. We do not recommended it at all.

TOURIST TRAP ,read carefully the reviews before having a seat at the terrace. Wanted to have a drink with a friend at the terrace today 18.Nov.2022 around 21:00 but I was not welcomed and was told to leave as I can only stay at the terrace if I have dinner. Was amused and shocked as the terrace was almost empty 😛. Now after reading the reviews I am so happy that I was denied sitting at this TOURIST TRAP. From the short time spent there I can only say that I've meet incredibly rude waiters including the grumpy old men, the one that tries to attract people walking by to have dinner at this amazing TOURIST TRAP. @Owner: Please don't bother to copy-paste your standard replay. You are so lucky as most people don't usually read these reviews before sitting at your table,otherwise that terrace would be empty as it was today while I was visiting.

RIDICULOUS! DO NOT EAT HERE!!! We had a very nice (but small portioned) meal with a lovely waitress however was shortly RUINED by the bill at the end. What was an expensive meal to start with became an even more expensive meal when a 12.5% service tip was added. We are three young tourists who are on a budget. We wanted to leave the smaller tip option however we couldn’t leave the table until we payed the full 12.5% and was DENIED an explanation as to why. He would not let us speak to the English speaking waitress and so we had little choice but to pay the whole 12.5%. It was not stated clearly on any menu and felt completely taken advantage of as we are young tourists. FURIOUS!

Avoid their restaurants. They are dubious crooks and include 12.5% tip to your bill even though on the receipt they write suggested tip amounts ranging from 10 to 15%. The food is small too but taste just okay. Avoid at all cost. Maybe it is generally a dubious way for restaurants in Prague.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, we wanted to start our dinner date with some beers and cocktails but, as we sat down a waitress without even saying hi just asked “Dinner?” We said we wanted to have some drinks first to what she answered at the time they only serve food, so we asked for the menu which she literally threw in the table without saying anything else. From the very beginning it felt like we were not welcome in this place. We decide to go for a walk willing to come back to have some food because on the pictures it was looking quite good . As we come back a tall waiter approached and gave us the menu, we wanted to have some other information about the “typical” dishes (as we are tourists and want to get to know the culture a little bit). We asked him if he had tried the goulash to what he said “ I don’t know it is just meat “. We were confused but still went ahead and ordered a soup and some entrees with the hope of order something else. The food was really but really small and not the best so we decided to just pay and keep going, we then ask for the bill and the tall unfriendly waiter just handed out the paying device with a whole completely different amount as that what stated on the bill. Of course we did not want to leave a tip as the service was no more than unfriendly and mediocre. We then said we did not want to pay the SUGGESTED tip and the waiter in a very bossy and unfriendly attitude said it is NOT A SUGGESTION but an OBLIGATION!!!! Even though on the receipt clearly stated suggestion. After some discussion we said we are not going to pay any tip and trying to defend our point he just went ahead and shh shh shh me so I don’t talk anymore. Way to go in order to become a tip…luckily we were able to pay only for our food but, I can only imagine how many people have been scammed with such an unprofessional and rude customer service.

We went to the Ristorante charlies which I guess is part of the hotel too! Good food. it has variety and the service is nice. I recommend the soup and a big plate that has lots of meat I don’t remember the name but here’s a pic.

This review is not about the hotel itself but the Music club located in the basement. Me, running companies in the Czech Republic, and my girlfriend, a former local to Praha, were visiting to meet friends and family. We stayed in a hotel in the centre, of course thats what you do when you are visiting. Knowing that many places in this area are focused on tourists we knew what to expect when visiting the Music Club. But what we experienced was very unpleasant. I clearly showed the dis-appreciation of customers and the attitude they have towards clients. We were in the Music Club and ordered water. as the waitress served it, she tipped over one glass. As I was standing next to the bartender lady I asked her for a new water. She replied: "No free drinks". Of course I thought its a joke, as water was spilled the waitress. Well, she was not.. Being stunned, I took a picture of her to use for a review, she was being rude and abrasive. (ok, maybe questionable) Security was called. They moved away tables to engage in physical contact. Security guy grabbed my throat wiggling me around. I refused to engage and we ended up in a dark corner them treating us both to beat us up in worst way. Posting this so you know how places like this don't value customers. Walk a little away form those place, get treated right and experience the real city of Praha.

As a student, I really want to write a review objectively and accurately. Prague is a very beautiful place. But I want to write specifically for this place where we ate. There is a tipping event called Tip. And it's about 2 Euros per person. It's okay to pay this money, but it's disrespectful and they are trying to take this money by force. We also wanted to pay separately and they behaved so badly that they almost beat us. Almost all restaurants have the same robbery policy. They try to extort money from people. This is really an unbecoming behavior.

Had a meal (meal ok, not great!!) in the restaurant earlier today, the waiter was rude and when we came to pay my 18 year old son wanted to pay for the meal, he tapped his card on the card machine and was told it didn't work, the waiter then did something to the card machine and when my son finally paid, he realised the waiter applied the service tip onto the bill without asking, even though the bill says tip is optional!! As a family we normally tip, however when you get bad service this does not constitute the service they charge for!! Looking at previous reviews this is obviously a common trait they practice. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! RUDE WAITER! SCAM!!! First, the waiters tried everything to avoid us so we couldn’t even take place on the terrace, but it was completely empty. We were not allowed to just order a drink. We ordered cocktails, but the cosmopolitan was VERY SMALL. They also PUSHED us to finish our food and they handed over the bill before we even asked, like they wanted us to leave. NOT FRIENDLY. Then, we were FORCED to pay 12,5% tip which is NOT NORMAL!!! His explanation was very vague, but he did not let us leave. WE GOT SCAMMED!!! DONT GO HERE!!!

This hotel is amazing. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, the location is pretty much as good as it gets (right in the heart of the old town next to the ancient bridge that leads towards the palace) and almost all the staff were exceptionally professional. I haven't had a single bad experience here and the number of services that are offered by the hotel will keep you covered no matter what the problem you're having is. I honestly don't understand how or why I got my room as cheap as I did, perhaps it's because I'm travelling solo and the single room price is more affordable. My price includes breakfast also (7-10) and has filled me up at the start of the day and kept me going, happily, until lunch. I forgot my plug and was able to grab a converter from reception at no cost, just one of the many, many services offered here. It would have been five stars all round but I couldn't help but notice that the staff at the beginning of the week were far more pleasant than the staff at the end of the week. One server in particular seemed to take a disliking to me, I was left feeling like I had walked into the restaurant off the street and Im sure he didn't realize I was a guest at the hotel (not that it should matter) and perhaps my opinion is somehow comparative, as all the other staff had been exceptional, however, this particular guy just didn't want to deal with me. He was short with me, he didn't check on me during my meal (don't normally mind this but he did make a point of checking on OTHERS having their dinner in the restaurant) and when I asked about dessert he straight up told me that they didn't have what I wanted. Clearly he was unaware that I had been eating in the hotel restaurant, as a guest, every evening since I had arrived and was familiar with the menu and staff and services. Perhaps I misread his attitude and took it personally but as I said, comparatively speaking it was very noticeable and left me feeling unwelcome where I had otherwise had a very warm and inviting experience. This one server is the reason it's not 5* all round but don't let him tarnish your opinion of a top quality business. I would stay here again for sure.

Perfect location just at the end of the Charles bridge. Surprisingly quiet despite being above a late bar/club, I'm a light sleeper, but didn't hear a thing. Beds were comfy and our room had aircon so lovely and cool. Room was split over 2 floors with the main bed in a mezzanine level above. Good value and we paid exactly what we expected.

To visit both parts of Prague the od town and the New part it is ideally situated. Reasonable price but charge for bottle drinking water which is not stated up front. No lifts in this premises either, great when your on the 1st floor not so great if your on the 3rd one.

Great location great cleanliness but it is super noisy because is a night club below the reception not about the music but people drunk at the entrance you can hear everything

Just having lunch at this very moment! Never had better pasta in my life (and trust me I’m pasta person). My friend says pizza is also amazing. 5 stars from me!!! 🇧🇦❤️

Horrible service! we BEEGED for normal things such as extra plates and straws. The servers were being super rude, our waiter we only saw her twice even though she’s responsible to take care of us and make sure everything is okay🤣! When it was time to pay they tried to charge us with the “12.5%” tip where i argued with the guy that is trying to let us pay to not include the tip because i wasn’t satisfied with the service + it wasn’t mandatory as it was written in the receipt “suggestion” and finally after half an hour of a full argument and unknown words from the waiters language he finally corrected the machine with a 5% tip as i generously offered (even though her service didn’t add up to my expectations) for the first kind waiter. Anyways, the food isn’t as good nor delicious you’ll find a better place to eat with normal nice waiters that provide actual restaurant like service:)!

I can't express how delighted I was with my stay at this hotel. The customer service was outstanding, with every staff member going out of their way to make me feel welcome. The facilities were excellent, and the attention to detail was remarkable. I will definitely be returning on my next visit

Can't say enough positive things about this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city. The rooms were spacious and beautifully designed, and the amenities were top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home.

I loved staying here! I came for a few days to tour Prague. The location was excellent, the room was a bit small but it was all I needed to sleep comfortably and I enjoyed my stay. It was very clean. Definitely stay here if you are looking for a place in the heart of the city.

Clean hotel in the center of Prague, 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions, close to the metro station and tram stop, good breakfasts, cleaned every day, warm in the room.i recommended to others.

I really liked this hotel and facilities they offered. The location is also good and most monument are close by. The room has the centuries old look and wooden furniture with full amenities. Unfortunately, the hotel do not have lift due to the structure by itself. The staff are really welcoming and helpful. The check-in desk is manned from 7am to 9pm. Overall I had a great experience. Would recommend this hotel for all group except elders.

HORRIBLE WAITER AND WE GOT SCAMMED! Since the moment we sat down, the waiters were pushing us and we felt like we had to rush. They were constantly coming to our table to ask if we were done while it was CLEAR that we were not done eating yet: it seemed they wanted us gone. They almost took our plates away. The waiters were so RUDE. I got the cosmopolitan cocktail and it was so small and the pasta as well: the portions were really small for this price. When we got the bill, we were FORCED to pay 12,5% tip, while it was mentioned on the bill that tip was an option. It was literally mentioned that tipping was a SUGGESTION! Why does this restaurant think it’s okay to FORCE customers to pay an insane amount of tip for this type of service. We are young girls on a budget and 12,5% was INSANE. I have never seen this much tip in my life and the way we were forced to pay this was just unimaginable. We are only here for three days and now one day is completely ruined. DON’T GO HERE!

While the location is great it was impossible to sleep at night. There's been knocking and creaking coming from our ceiling all night. Not from the steet or the club. But right above our heads. And the staff has been unfriendly and unhelpful, refusing to even check for the source of the noise or do something about it. We needed a place to stay for the night and our upcoming day is ruined due as we have to spend it while sleep depraved.
