Bar Beer hall

😠 An extremely rude person at the bar, he didn't even look at us and pointed with his hand for us to get out. Never come here except you are a local and can speak Czech. People often mention beer, Czech, great, staff, Prague, tourists, local, Great, good,

Regarding the food, I think the picture says it all. The staff is really kind and it was by far the best local bar we found in Prague! A must-go for those looking for a nice local place instead a touristic one.

Nipped in here on a Monday night for what was meant to be 1 or 2 pints. Quite a small place but we were lucky to be shown to 2 stools by the window. Very friendly staff and locals and were made very welcome. Had a great laugh talking to a few lads that work up at the castle about Prague, Scotland, beer and slagging Boris Johnson off 😂 Beer was fantastic and instead of 1 or 2 pints I ended up having 7. Definitely not a place for stag/hen or large groups. Treat the staff and regulars with respect and you'll have a great time.

Classic Czech pub. Welcome if you wish to have some great beer. Be ready to share a table with strangers which can be a cool experience. Beer for about 50. Becherovka shot 30. Sausage 50. Pork steak 90. The sausage was ok but I didn't like pork. Next time I'm going to eat in some other place and move hereafter to have some beer and enjoy the atmosphere. The service was fast and friendly.

Great local bar in Prague. Lovely cosy 1 room bar where everyone is sat around each other. Please be respectful though, this bar is for Czech locals so even though it is definitely worth a visit be polite and try and use Czech words.

It's a big fat no! My husband and I are travelers and we try stuff both touristy and not.we thought to give this place a try thinking that food should be nice and tasty despite the bad mannered service you expect in central Prague. The food was EQUALLY BAD as the service. Waitress was obnoxious, pushy, served us the most expensive beer of the two they have, and added 10 slices of bread to our order with out us asking. Well fair enough we ate it and was ok. They didn't have 1 of the 7 things on the menu. The hermelin was dry and lacked flavour. Overall AVOID if you have other options. Leave the Czech people enjoy this 'gem'. There is a reason you don't see tourists here.

Great pub!! Very authentic, almost more than I bargained for 😂 it was me (a 24 year old girl) and like 30 giant czech men. Fantastic cheap place to try czech pub food!! I had a great time

Very nice little pub to visit in a rather touristy part of town. Walked in, was able to get a table followed by a good feed and half litre of Pilsner Urquell’s finest. No worries with English, there was at least one out of the six people working there who helped me out just fine. Mr Grizzly Bear behind the bar aint the friendliest barman you’ll ever come across, but the beers were good nonetheless. This place operates as cash only, so make sure you have a few CZK on you as the closest ATM aint too far away, but not easy to find. I learned the hard way.

Another iconic place on the beer map of Prague. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a free table - but if you succeed, you have a double reward :-)

The last real Czech pub in the city centre, comfortable and gently shabby and very cozy. Excellent beer and beer snacks (oil-macerated camembert!). If you're sick of themed restaurants in the centre, simply come here for an affordable refreshments. Fully recommended

Small, crowded, local pub with brusk staff and limited menu. We loved it. Beer was.. beer, so, good, and the klobasa was delicious. Not many tourists. Not many tourists would like it, as they do not cater to tourists. Few veggie options. Vegans need not bother.

Despite being in heavily crowded and tourist area (though not on the main road), this is one of truly authentic Czech pubs. Do you want to have a good beer in true Czech way? This is great choice.

A really good place to have a beer or eat something, they are very traditional and also very friendly with tourists, so when you visit the castle you just have to stop here for a beer. Remember, it's a cash only place, bring all your group and enjoy.

Very cosy bar where the locals come to have a drink and something to eat. We ordered the Klobasa and the Pivnisyr, and I really recommend these dishes. Service went very quickly and the staff is friendly. I would recommend coming here when visiting this part of Prague.

I just went for a beer with my lady after following Google Maps. It's cash only and, of course, we didn't have any, but the bartender was kind enough to point me to an ATM. Other than that, the beer was great and the slivovitz even better.

Truly a Czech pub, we were the only tourists. We felt welcome here. The food was beautifully cooked and very reasonably priced. Ham knee & pickled camembert highly recommended.

Busy, good food from limited menu, original surroundings. I had no issues with staff or ordering, however accurate displayed prices would be useful Based on prices shown our meal and drinks should have been 450 but charged 600 no explanation!!! was that plucked from the air or are the displayed prices wrong??

We didn't try the food but we came for late beers. It was one of the best pub experiences of my life. I will be sure to go there every time I am in Prague. Very nice beer and very welcoming staff (I speak a little Czech so maybe that helped).

Visiting this pub feels like return to the 90s, price and atmosphere wise. Worth to visit it you're interested in typical Czech pub culture. Great staff, tasty beer and food rounds the overall experience as a 5*.

Great local spot, few tourists, right next to Parliament. Fresh beer poured by an expert.

You are a hungry and thirsty, looking for the place where locals eat and drink? If so, simply go there. It's a small pub in an old building - so, no glamour, no extra-polite staff, but place with a character. A kind of character that probably not everyone might like. But we did. Added value are their prices, which are hard-to-believe low.

The most beautiful place I have visited in Prague. Atmosphere, beer and great food. Recommended. Just one thing, you have to have some cash. No bank cards.

Very traditional Czech place. Nice and cozy atmosphere. Not many options but all very tasty for a great price!
