I hate service of the student unie. This month they restarted the internet system in the whole dormitory, so everyone must pay for the internet 800kč. If you need the internet for two weeks only, you still pay 800kč, great job! I registered, they put me in the system and I still don’t have internet in my block. Not even a single WiFi in the WiFi list. So I asked the IT team to move a router closer to the 5 floor, I need to work from home every day, other girls in the block must study. The IT admin refused to do it because “others will have a weaker connection”. Well, at least they will have some connection. We don’t have it at all! During a conversation I used a formal you “vy” and he replied to me with “ty”, though he must be perfectly aware of etiquette rules. Such arrogance. I also booked the study room and went below to take the key. They asked for an ID and money deposit. I gave them my ID and 10 euros because I didn’t have local cash at the moment. They refused to give me the key because they wanted czech crowns not euros. Sorry is it a joke?! It is a dorm and a hotel, everywhere you post the EUR-CZK course, what a lame excuse you have, why out of the blue you refuse to accept euro deposit?! Moreover, for a year already Masaryk dorm has horrendous situation with washing machines. The key is always taken, people wake up at 6am to get the key before others. I couldn’t wash my clothes for a month because downstairs they always say no washing machines are available. I wrote to the dorm administration and they said half a year ago that they knew about this problem. But still nothing changed. Also, the dorm accommodates guys from Erasmus, some of them put loud music, drink and shout in the dorm corridors whole night, no earplugs help. I called different receptionists 4 times, they all promised to stop the noise but they never went upstairs. And because of covid my fav canteen downstairs is closed. So there’s NO good place to eat here. I literally have to take a tram and go somewhere to buy food. I also have to buy food for the next day. Within 15 mins of walking you won’t find a good restaurant. Kebab and pizza place is the only thing they have here and believe me you wouldn’t like to eat food of that quality often. We are 6 girls in a block and for 6 people they offer a small 1m fridge, which is absolutely not enough. Because of that some girls fight over the space in the fridge, I had to stop cooking, because I simply don’t have space for placing products. 2 years ago the dorm was fine, these things didn’t happen. Yes it looks new and cleaning ladies come every Monday. But now I start to really dislike this place and the service. If there was a better dorm or a flat available I would move out the very next day.

If you would like to experience a second world student dorm, go with it! I stayed here a second time because of academic invitations, and I shall not stay a third time! The rooms are tiny, cold and barren. I ordered one with kitchen, but there was no, cutlery (not talking about the two "pots" that I would throw away at home), and the woman at the reception told me she got none and I should rather go into one of the surrounding restaurants. The only good thing is the eduroam Wifi, if you have one.

This place is a nightmare. I couldn't find my food and had to be taken to it by a member of staff. 5th flloor at least 300 yards walk, myriad lifts all over the place, room furniture tatty rooms not numbered and duplicated Shambles. Only got one star because you can't give no stars. I left after the first night and found another hotel and wrote off the £200 I had paid. No wonder their policy is pay in advance with no refund.

Extremely bad service. Mostly every employee there will raise the voice to you or take sudden breaks from their duties when they see you coming to ask for help with anything. IT DOES NOT HAVE FREE WIFI

You need google maps to find your room! Checkout at 10.00!!!!!!!! Rooms are hot. Even at 00.00 evening wen it’s 12 degrees outside! Bed and the room is a joke! Even for me who sleep 250 days a year in hotels all over the world! Sorry but NEVER AGAIN!! Ps don’t expect to sleep in the morning because even the curtains are smaller the the windows, meaning early morning you have sun in your room!

The hostel is very old and not well maintained. The room was very dirty, dusty shelves, too much hair on the floor, we found even some old underwear, napkins and a condom package behind the bed. The room smelled very bad because of the old carpeting, so bad it was hard to sleep. We were only given two very little towels and asked at least two times for a bigger or extra one, but didn't receive anything. When we entered the apartment the refrigerator was not working and smelled just horrible. The only shelf in it was even broken. After complaining about it, they at least turned it on. The curtains were very very hard to move and have obviously never been cleaned. They didn't isolate light, so it was very bright in the morning. The bathroom door was so old and was falling apart, so you could not even close it, let alone lock it (which is essential when you're sharing a bathroom with 6 people). The bathroom curtain was longer then it should be and therefore covered in mold. There was no soap anywhere. The toilet smelled weird, but the worst past was the lock, which stated "DO NOT LOCK OR YOU WILL DIE". At first we thought this was a joke, but then someone staying in the other room got locked inside and couldn't get out. Overall, this place is in my opinion not safe and very dirty. The prices are too high for this kind of accommodation. The reception was not helpful at all during our stay.

I'm a Erasmus student here so I don't know much about the hotel part. But for me here is cheap and they provide me everything I need. There's a gym, share kitchen, canteen (best thing), cleaning services. So yeah it's perfect.

I like this place, good location, good rooms, should provide water wash near closet. Wifi was poor in my room. , reaching to my room at red area is very difficult, say need to cross many corridors.

Unglaublich 😔🫣

I stayed here as an exchange student. Was really nice compared to the other dormitories. Rooms are small, but you feel like home because you share with people with similar interests. (There are 3 rooms with 2 people each, by each global room, although some have 1 room with 3 people and the other 2 with 2) Administration chooses your room, but that helps on accommodating according to these interests. Cleaning is one time per week which is nice, and spaces are usually being remodelled so everything works okey. There is one cafeteria and restaurant, as well as tv, music and leisure rooms. The only thing not good is the gym, is really deteriorated.

Not the best to foreigner standards but actually one of the top and affordable dorms in Prague. The cleaning service was rude enough to just unlock the door, come in, not say anything and start cleaning with me being in the room slightly indecent. Hopefully after the complaint that will change.

As a student who stayed here during Erasmus, I can say that although the rooms are decent, you end up sharing one bathroom and shower with 6+ as multiple bedrooms are grouped in a sort of apartment. The canteen and pub were closed during the semester, so to share what was a pretty claustrophobic kitchenette was challenging, as there was no microwave. Also there are a lot of students staying there and a few washing machines, so it's always tough to get access to them, many needing to wake up at 7am just to be in line waiting. All in all it's probably still one of the best dormitories in Prague, which says a lot about the conditions for others, it also has the perfect location for students of the Czech Technical university.

They outsource some services, e.g., gym and fitness rooms.

Well.. at first I didn't like this accommodation until I understood that this was a students accommodation then I appreciated more what I was in. Now, the receptionist was not so friendly, the instalation is complicated though everything is well identified, the location is not great but the breakfast is really good and vast.
