The room was simple, no frills but maintained very clean. Staff was friendry, helpful and gave us warm welcome. They helped us to bring our luggage up as there is no elevater there. Josef helped us a lot for our sightseeing plans as well. I did not ask the name of other staff but they also seemed to be very happy to help travellers. The restaurant on the same premise was very good too.

What a hidden gem! This hotel provides fantastic value for money. It was a highlight of my stay in Prague and I’ll be sure to come back ASAP. The staff speak great English and are extremely kind and welcoming. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious and well appointed. My room had great ceiling height and huge windows (heat and sound insulated) which added to the feeling of spaciousness. The bed was very comfortable and dressed in high quality linens. There was a Nespresso machine and a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee pods provided. The room was nice and warm, as expected, but a detail that I am grateful for considering the extremely cold and snowy weather during my stay. A complimentary bottle of Bohemia Sekt was provided on my final night which was a very nice touch. The bathroom was sleek and modern, decent range of toiletries provided. The hotel is located in a quiet residential district of Prague, surrounded by villas and embassies. You aren’t right in the center of the action, which I appreciated, but the old town and other tourist sites are within easy reach by taxi or metro - Hradčanská metro is an easy 5-10 mins walk away, and an Uber to old town (10 min drive) is around 150Czk. Overall, a seriously impressive stay that exceeded all expectations. The value for money is unbeatable.

This is one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s one of those rare places where the staff generally seem to care about the guest- everyone was so, so kind. Our room was spacious, sunny, beautifully furnished, and extremely comfortable. I cannot believe how affordable it is, either. It’s a fraction of the price of most hotels that are similarly nice. We’ll never stay anywhere else in Prague except Schwaiger.

My boyfriend and I stayed for five nights. This has got to be the best hotel in Prague. The staff are incredibly nice and it seems as they actually love their job. There is someone at the front desk at all times and they are extremely accommodating, they gave a lot of useful information about the transportation, security and good places to go. They will also gladly make reservations for you. There are also umbrellas you can borrow, which is a nice touch. There is a top rated restaurant in the building, were you get a discount. The hotel rooms are big, clean and beautiful, it has got high ceilings, a safe and a cheap minibar. The last day, we got a bottle of wine. Staying at Hotel Schwaiger made our trip to Prague perfect, we deeply recommend this hotel and we will definitely return!

Very nice hotel in an older building. Excellent service from the reception. They were very accommodating to our 2 small children. The rooms were large, bathroom new and spotless, bed huge and very comfortable. The hotel restaurant called "V zahradě" has delicious food. Outdoor children play area was a huge plus for us. Only thing that could use some improvement is the quality and selection of cold cuts, cheese and bread at breakfast. Luckily there were plenty of other choices for breakfast.

We loved this hotel. Located just outside the busy old town but at only 23 minutes walking to it. We got the Garden room 35m2 with all the extras, on a 1920 style decoration, every day perfectly clean with a little gift as thank us for the staying. The reception guys were really helpful and could advise us in our requests related to transport, restaurant and tips to do around. They didn't have a parking garage so we had to park outside which we found not a big issue since this are is surrounded by plenty embassies. We will definitely come back. Thanks for the great time.

This hotel is one of the best experiences we've ever had in all our years of traveling. The staff, breakfast, and restaurant are absolutely amazing. It is set out of the hustle and bustle of the city so it is nice and quiet but you can walk to the city center in 25-30 minutes or take a VERY inexpensive Bolt to anywhere you need to go (we never paid more than $8 to any place in the city from the hotel). I can't imagine staying anywhere else in our visits back to Prague. You will never regret staying here.

Super friendly staff, clean rooms, nice and quiet neighbourhood. Local restaurants and beautiful parks close to the hotel. Metro and tram stops about 10 minutes walking. Will book again on next trip. :)

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights. Every day was wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is phenomenal, the on-site restaurant is wonderful, the breakfast buffet is very good and the location is perfect! There is a beautiful park 5 minutes from the hotel door, mass transit is about a 10 minute walk and allows you to get into old town in about 10 minutes. You can enjoy the peace and solitude outside old town, but be in the heart of the city in about 20 minutes. One of the best hotels we have stayed in for quite a long time.

We were very unhappy with the hotel! Our room had many huge bed bugs that crawled on the lamp, bed and windows. We had a small child with us, so I went to the reception and complained about the bugs. The room was cleaned poorly, after which the bed bugs did not become less. The next day I again said that bedbugs have not disappeared and I am afraid to spend the night there with a small child, to which I was simply told that bedbugs are harmless and not dangerous for us 😀 this is in a 4-star hotel. In addition to these problems, the cleaners do their work as poorly as possible, the coffee machine was so dirty after the previous guests that I had to first & cups just skip boiling water to eventually make a mug of tea! Absolutely unacceptable attitude to guests, categorically do not recommend, especially with children!!!!

Incredibly nice hotel in an older classical building in an embassy area, close to the huge Stromovka- park. Excellent service from the reception. You feel that they enjoy their job! The rooms were large, bathroom new and spotless, bed huge and very comfortable. Ask for a room away from the main road. The cobbled street and the pub may be a bit noisy for some. The hotel restaurant “In the Garden V zahradě" has great wine and delicious food, and very nice and attentive staff. You get 10 % discount as a hotel guest. Next door is a very nice Czech traditional pub with great service! I recommend highly this hotel. We will return!

Very affordable, clean hotel. The staff was very friendly, they offered many details about the city and the area and offered to answer any questions we have about what to do in Prague. The room was quite spacious and very cosy. Although it was at the attic and had no view (windows on the roof pointed to the sky), it was still very bright and cozy. You need to walk for about 10 minutes to the metro/tram station, but the area is quiet and nice, with many embassies.

Hotel is in the great location, not right in city centre as we like, and nice walking distance to all tourist locations (about 30min). Room has modern design, very comfortable beds, great bathroom facility and room has air conditioning which is perfect in hot days. We were in room 304 which is roof bedroom so the issue we would have is position of toilet - ceiling is above toilet is a bit low and my boyfriend had a bit of problem using toilet, but due to bathroom layout there is no other way so you just need to be careful if you are a bit taller. Also TV channels are only in German or Czech language, we were trying to change to English but we weren’t able - again no big issue. Breakfast was superb and staff very helpful and friendly :)

Very pleasant hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Our room was great, and the bed was super comfy. I looked forward to breakfast every morning, that's for sure! The restaurant on the terrace complimented the hotel with tasty meals for a reasonable price. The location felt like the right distance away from the extremely busy centre, so it was nice and quiet at night. However, it was not far away from the trams if you are not a fan of walking all day. Overall, it was a nice experience. If I ever come back to Prague, I'd prefer to come back to the Schwaiger Hotel.

Great place! Can honestly say it's one of the best hotels I have ever been. The room is perfect, and the crew is very helpful. One might say is not well located, but I must disagree, for is in the diplomatic district, so is located in a very charming and has a great restaurant right next to it.

Lovely hotel, Reception staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Some great tips on how to enjoy some of the sights that are enjoyed by the locals. There's a beautiful park just near to the hotel and the zoo is a pleasant walk. The hotel is just outside of the city centre, in the embassy district so very safe, that makes it a nice retreat after a day sightseeing and being in the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hotel restaurant is very nice, reasonably priced and breakfast is very good. All the staff work so hard here, it deserves top rating.

Staying at the Schwaiger hotel is like experiencing the luxurious life in a 19th-century palace; spacious and clean rooms, excellent amenities, tranquility, and courteous and helpful staff... It was one of the best hotels I have ever been to in all these years.
