I am very disappointed with this medical provider. This is supposed to be a premium private health care provider. However the service this company provides is worse than the state sector and you have to pay premium for it. My experience is this. I booked myself to see a doctor on Friday afternoon of a long weekend. When I arrived for my appointment at the medical center in the outskirts of Prague I was told that the doctor I was scheduled to see was not there and whether I would like to reschedule. Needless to say this made me pretty angry as they could call me earlier in the day to save me all the travelling. After calming down I was offered a second appointment in a different medical facility two weeks later. Again when I arrived I was told that the doctor is delayed and that I should wait 30 minutes. After waiting in excess of 30minutes I enquired when I could see the doctor. I was told to wait at least another 30 minutes that the doctor is delayed with another patient. Since the reception could not say with any certainty when the doctor will be available I decided to cut my losses short and left. I came to a conclusion that, even tough this company may have good doctors on its books, the doctors do not take CMC patients as priority.

Ridiculously high prices. I had paid more than 17000 czk for ONE consultation and blood tests. And i had to pay more to get the full picture of my illness. (I guess it would be double or triple) -and to get you the picture how it is insane to pay that price, some hospitals do plastic surgeries for less than 20000 czk in czech republic) And it doesnt even have hospital facilities like MRI, x ray etc. They send you to public hospitals even for a basic x ray. (In my case which is good otherwise i had to pay God knows how much more) Plus if interpreting the results of your tests require another doctor's attention, then you have to pay the fee to that doctor too. I was recommended I need to visit 2 more doctors therefore I need to pay 2 more consultation fees. I had visited doctors, hospitals, clinics all over the world and this one has the worst price slash performance equation.

I was a client for 7 years and hardly ever needed a doctor, so it was a sort of just in case subscription. Of course, I went for the preventive appoitments such as GP, dentist etc. To be honest, if it was not paid via my employers I would have never gone as the quality is fairly low. There is one or two decent doctors, the rest is either very junior and inexperienced or very old and clearly burn out. So its very much a lottery with who you end up with and I dont think thats the point of having a private medical center. Just recently - before cancelling my subscription - I was told that pains I have in my knee are just fine, I should get Ibuprofen, wait, and come back in 6 months. It seemed to me that the doctor did not have any idea what they were doing, so I went to double check with another doctor and they sent me for an immediate operation, which literally might have saved my full mobility. I wrote this to Canadian Medical but they did not acknowledge any issue whatsover and even tried to blame it on me because “I should have come earlier” (?!?). The public healthcare system in Czech Rep is at a good level and the quality of doctor in the big hospitals is good, thus it seems Canadian Medical sort of gets those doctors who were not wanted elsewhere. Plus the management, including the owner Mr Blasko, simply does not care, it just a money making machine for them and they could not care less that they are playing with peoples lives. I want to warn others to be cautious if they are considering using their services. I suggest doing your research and finding another provider that you can trust and that if you ever need a real specialist, then they give you the care you need.
