I hope nobody will need to deal with MUDr Barbora Maxova , worst medical experience I have ever had in my life. I had to check my throat in ORL after not being able to eat and breath normal for 4 days, she looked at me and said "You do not look like in emergency situation , what are you doing here?" after I was waiting 2 hours for her "excellent service". she was very impolite and aggressive with her tones and movements, while checking my nose - throat (endoscopia nose), she was not happy that I could not take my head a bit more forward (I was in a really bad condition in that moment that I could not really function), so she just pulled my beard in a barbaric action to make my face more forward. I was totally shocked with her behavior. she is a clown that is dressed as a doctor, for a people like her, there is a V.I.P section in Hell. please avoid her in all costs ! fast recovery for everyone !

Called on the phone around midnight because my tooth infection had made my cheek so swollen it doubled in size and I couldn't sleep. These people would rather watch a foreigner die than help them. NOBODY could speak English on the phone and nobody cared to emphasize, they hung up on me. Absolutely criminal, you a**hats.

Yes, waiting can be long (up to 2-3 hours) if non-emergency. When I saw emergency rolling in patients, they all were attended to by a doctor immediately. In my case, staff were very competent and helpful. You'll need a decent amount of Czech to communicate with them. Everyone treated me with compassion and respect. The facilities were renovated. Foreigners department communicated with the insurance company and I didn't have to pay for the surgery.

Auf keinen Fall hier her gehen. Katastrophen Nacht!!

Terrible attitude. I hope nobody will need their help and rather have chance to visit another hospital. Rudeness, examining different part of body than I said I have problem with. Shouting at me that I did not pay the fee although staff at the main gate told me it is payed directly to the doctor, blaming me that I was a liar, etc. And in the rnd theiy gave me smaller dose than was needed for a 6.3 ft (1.92 m) tall person like me. I would like to see their medical licenses!!!

Had a bike accident, broke my elbow and collarbone and got admitted to Thomayerova. Very satisfied with the entire treatment from arriving at the emergency until being released 10 days later, after two surgeries. I do speak some Czech but not enough for everything. Neverthless, all the nurses, doctors and other stuff were kind and friendly. We managed to get along using google translate and even have some fun while overcoming language barriers. Never felt as "they have to deal with another foreigner". I wanna thank everyone who took care of me at pavillon G3

You come in pain to ambulance, and they are not even there, it’s impossible to find anyone who could help or at least knew something. Had to go to other clinic.

Overall experience is ambiguous. I had a C-section and experience of operation was horrible. The main sergent was like a butcher, i was surrounded by around l 10 students naked...my doctor forgot to mention that there could be strangers in the room. My husband was not allowed to be present with me, even though i was promised beforehand that he could be with me. However, my room was really good, i had my privacy. It was just before reconstruction.

Been there with severe lower back pain unable to even stand straight. I have been told that it will be some waiting time between 1 to 2 hours and i accepted that. After 4 hours i asked the nurses why noone from the people in waiting room have not been approached by a nurse or some explanation given to the waiting. The doctor was chatting all this time with the nurses ignoring the visible pain suffered by the waiting patients . Only after i raised my voice they decided to call me inside the cabinet for a check. This without carrying that a lady patient who was there before me was visible crying out of pain in the waiting room. The lack of empathy and respect i have never see before in a Prague Hospital. I did heard about horrible stories coming out from Thomayerova Hospital with some high profile cases on national television and i was hoping that after this some measures were taken by the ministry of health. Obviously there is business as usual. Avoid with all costs. Now i came to Neurology Clinic in Prague 2 and i feel better just by the kindness and empathy the staff have showed me here.

Worst hospital - I waited 4 hours to be seen by a doctor for a heart problem. The nurse destroyed my arm when she took blood then I was told to wait outside . After 4 hours I decided to leave and die home - after paying 200 Kc for parking. Not to mention the precar hygiene and the buildings that are falling appart.

Rude staff that didn't want to help a foreigner. In the beginning I haven't been registered in a Czech insurance company and they said they will make all the exams for me for 2.000 czk. It seemed weird to me, because I have the EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD. So, after this I went and registered to have an non paying examination, as I deserve as a European citizen. At last, when I gave them every document for having the examination, they told me that my case is not urgent and I should wait for 1 week.

The hospital itself looks pretty scarry, but when we finally found block F, we were treated nicely, the vaccination was quick and smooth. :) Highly recommend the place.

Almost all doctors speak English and even though you can end up unlucky, almost all the doctors I encountered were kind and found the problem I had. Mostly everyone is helpful and kind, except the nurses sometimes but I can hardly blame them considering the hard work they do

After I heard about the bullying story on Arepas for Dinner channel I have to react. This is not acceptable and no one should be treated like this. The hospital should send an official apology!

I got a great service through an Orthopedic surgeon in this hospital for a hairline fracture on my right ankle. Staff members (Nurse and other associates) were kind enough in treating; Doctor(s) could speak in nice English, had little difficulty in communicating (as they only know Czech) with other staff members. I'd all advanced machines for treatment.

What a nice surprise. Using private medical centers most of the time, this is super efficient and people are very nice. I really appreciated coordination by their individual care unit, no waiting times doing many examinations in an hour. This is well managed hospital and I wish many more would be alike.

Very rude staff. Previously I was there twice with my newborn son and it wasn't that bad as the last time, when I went there to traumatologie with my mother-in-low. All the personal is really unfriendly and rude. They said that if we live in Prague 10,then we shouldn't go to FTN,so I hope it's been our last visit there. P.S. I've been thinking that they're rude towards foreigners, but after reading the feedbacks here,I understood that the same situation with Czech people.

I have to give my praise to pavilon U and children neurology doctor Mudr Miriam Adamovicova. We had a check up with her and she was by far the most empathic, patient and kind children doctor we have come across so far. She helped our baby relax, trust her and did her examination thoroughly. Lovely doctor with the right approach and this is what every parent with a baby needs.

😠 Terrible service. Most people working there (nurses and people doing desk jobs) don’t speak English and don’t seem to be willing to help non speaking Czech people. 😠 Extremely unfriendly staff. My mother came in with an eye emergency and they had us wait 2.5 hours (and still waiting) until we were seen. 😠 Until recently, I thought Motol was one of the few solid hospitals in Prague - a mistake! Our six-year-old daughter had fevers that rose to 40.5 (!) Degrees in the evening. I think it is already a very dangerous temperature, so we called an ambulance and a nice lady at the end confirmed that she de...
