Doctor was very nice until he gave me the bill. 12’500 cz for 20 Minutes check-up. Come on, even in Switzerland i’ve never paid this much. I didn’t have that money on me and had to ask someone to provide the card. I kindly asked the doctor if I could go to pay on Monday and he turned agressive. He took my blood during the consultation as I was asking him for my anxiety issues. He told me that he had to check me entirely. Now I realize he did that to earn more money. - not friendly. - more expansive than anywhere. - forcing patients to have more tests than needed. Scam! This is disgusting and just turned my holidays in nightmare. If you read this : look at your rates. Almost everybody is complaining you have to change the way you work. Shame on you for taking advantage on unhealthy people. Plus : i didn’t have the proper ordonnance for all the medication I had. How will I get my money back now? In Switzerland you would have been in a lot of trouble for this kind of behavior. Don’t call them. More than 400 euros for 20 minutes and than one hour with an agressive doctor.

For a cough the "doctor" analyse my blood ? Ah yeah, after I understood the reason. Pay more ! 9800 czk (almost 400€) for 20 min. I hope people won't do like me, and read the comments before. Don't go there, I hope this establishment will close in a near future to stop to steal money from sick people. Shame on you!

They do not accept any health insurance here. They will charge you thousands of crowns just to see the doctor and you are expected to appeal your insurance provider. They don't of course tell you this when you try to arrange in advance even if you mention your insurance.

They used to be a decent place many years ago but now they care more about your money than you as a patient. Be aware they will charge you 5000 Kc ($200) for the consultation and in my case another 8000 Kc ($350) for unnecessary blood tests without telling me what the cost would be. And they DO NOT have any contracts with insurance companies. If you need an emergency treatment or care it is better to go directly to a Czech hospital. If you need a specialist contact him/ her directly, you would save time and money and you would be better off after all.

3100 czk for nothing, doctor aged 80 tried to impress us with his IT skills (he was trying for 15 min. to find on internet how to heal lower back problems). Instead of asking serious, health -related questions he was asking about where I'm from, he asked what state i was from and if i lived in a private apartment. in the midst of "examining" my back problem he was kind enough to inform me about my giant right tonsil. At the end of the examination i couldnt leave without asking him to check my vision. When i told him i couldnt read the bottom row he replied "its ok, most dont" and told me if i was concerned to see an optrician, which i found out later is also offered at his clinic. I was given a box ibalgin and a printed out top hit aritcle from google. BEST MONEY EVER SPENT. PEOPLE DONT GO THERE! U WILL BE ROBBED.! Only the Prosecutor and Police should visit them!

I had a great experience here, they got me in right away and I didn’t wait long at all to see the nurse and doctor. All the staff that I interacted with were very understanding and knew what they were doing. I can’t really speak to the insurance part of things as I am an American without international health insurance but they did provide me with receipts/info to file a claim myself. Considering the urgency of my situation and that they got me in very last second, the amount that I paid out of pocket was pretty reasonable. I would definitely return here if I ever had problems again.

If you're travelling and looking for an English speaking doctor and are as horrified by these reviews as I am, I suggest you go with Unicare Medical Centre instead. It's in Prague 6, but accessible by public transport. I just had a great experience with them. They were professional, approachable and friendly. The clinic is clean and organised and I waited only about 5 min past my appointment time. It is also much cheaper than this one. I paid about 200 AUD in total including antibiotics and other medications.

If you have the luxury of time. Go somewhere else. This place appears warm and welcoming on the surface and a safe zone for tourists. It would appear they are setup purely just to rip you off and take advantage of sick and injured people. Save yourself hundreds of dollars and go elsewhere.

I am traveling for 23 days and have a pre-existing neck problem with bulging discs and previous herniation. I, unfortunately, tweaked my neck while in Prague, before a sea kayaking adventure in Croatia, and aggravated a bulge, to the point of possible herniation. In extreme pain with it going down my arm, I explained what happened and they offer me a shot of Motrin in the buttock that will last 12 hours. When I tell them I took 1/2 a Vicodin from my 2011 prescription from the last herniation (I kept the leftover pills in my travel first aid for emergency and pulled out the bottle to show the male doctor), and explain I had already had 1200 MG of Advil, making sure it's not dangerous to get a shot of Motrin on top of that, the male doctor accuses me of drug seeking. He then offers an anti-inflammatory patch and muscle relaxers. When I ask if I can continue to safely take Advil with those he accuses me over and over of wanting oxycontin and seeking drugs. Clearly, with a leftover prescription from 2011, I am not a pain killer junkie. He puts in my chart notes that I was seeking oxycontin. I was confused about continued use of Advil with the patch and muscle relaxer and he gets argumentative and rudely asks what I am seeking...what my expectations are. His ego didnt like my questions. Because I didn't accept the shot of Motrin, I had to sign something saying I denied his treatment, and they forced me to take a muscle relaxer in front of them if I wanted to go home with some, when I said I wanted to read up about what they were because I am a freak about taking medications. It was a humiliating and mind boggling experience when I was already on the verge of tears in pain - that I spent more time convincing the doctor I wasn't seeking oxy vs. getting help with my neck injury. Then he didn't even examine the side of my neck and arm that the pain was radiating down. The entire 15 minute visit cost me over 5,600 koruna ($240 USD). He said I should be using acupuncture, yet couldn't recommend anyone, telling me to check with my hotel. When I said I was staying at an apartment, he shrugged his shoulders. Doesn't the doctor typically make referrals, not a hotel? When sick, injured, or in pain while traveling in a foreign country, you feel very vulnerable, which can exasperate your issue. This clinic in no way helps to treat your problem. They were all rude. The nurse tried to show a tad bit of compassion, but in the end when I explained I thought we had a communication issue, she said that was doubtful because he's been treating English speaking patients for 20 years. You would never know. DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT HERE if you can help it.

Complete rip off. Around 20 minutes in total for a slight ear infection cost over 300 Euro. That did include medication but thats medication that should have cost 20 Euros. Was so angry afterwards at being ridded off to this level. A doctor in Prague shouldn't cost more that 20-30 Euro. Stay well away from this place.

Run. Run from here. Don't even think about coming here. Here you will be humiliated and robbed. Especially if you want to undergo a medical examination here for submission to the US Embassy. It costs $700 for each person, by the way. The meeting was scheduled for 9 am. I came with a three year old child. No one cares, we waited 2 hours because the doctor took those who came without an appointment to make more money. The prices here are exorbitant. After 2 hours, the doctor went to the reception to talk on the phone. And you know what? He suddenly turned to us and started yelling at us so that my child would not make any noise while he was on the phone. Literally yell, very loud and rude. "Bad man", what did you expect from a three year old that you force to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours? Just meet us at the time you appointed, it's simple. To my indignation, he replied, "If you don't like it, get out of here." He knows very well that he is the only doctor in the whole Czech Republic and people have no choice. This vile creature kindly communicated with my wife in just 10 minutes, but don't be fooled - this is a disgusting person. I wish this doctor the very worst.

The consultation was fine but seriously, 3500 czk for fifteen minutes? That makes 130€ for one visit and one box of pills. Well you have to be really wealthy to get there...

Absolutely horrible experience. The assistant that should welcome you was very unpleasant. the doctor made a big deal of everything. Go to different clinic that have proffesional employees. Yes, we are humans but common, at doctor you should feel comfortable and not annoyed once you entry.

Doctor is very thorough and good. Short waiting time. Staff is professional and nice. Location was easy to find. Would give 5 stars, but its very expensive. I spent around 300 EUR. If you have the money, or if your insurance covers the visit then i would definately recommend this health centre.

This private clinic is an absolute fraud .....Went in with a cough after a long flight and the bill was CZK 12,700 which is about AUD 800 for a 30min consult. When I refused to pay they said it’s privately owned and my fault for not asking when I first came in. They said don’t worry you can claim on your insurance. This clinic is not setup to help people. It is there to stand over sick people and conduct insurance fraud.

Decent service but 6,600 czk for a simple doctor visit for common cold?! That is almost US$270. Absolute robbery. They should be investigated or something.

WARNING! Needed a doctor to the hotel room due to a food poisoning. He charged us 19 000 Czk (750 €) for taking our temperature, blood pressure and giving us some sort of painkiller. The doctor obviously took advantage of our weakened state by rushing everything and not even introducing himself. Showed no ID and did not tell us about prices before charging us this incredible sum. Do absolutely not get involved with this company!

I was legitimately ill with a parasitic infection, and the clinic helped me out and worked with information from my doc back home to get me on the mend. I greatly appreciated their help. It's not cheap, but they will take care of you!

They gave me lots of test weird prescriptions and an exaggerated diagnose for something that my local doctor, after 4 month of intense suffering, fixed in less than 12 hours with one affordable pill… avoid at any cost and if it is a real emergency call 112

Terrible! Very expensive and the doctor is extremely rude, he can even yell at you! Instead of visiting this doctor, it is better to go to a neighboring country, it will cost you less and will not cause you psychological trauma.

I don’t know why everyone is giving this place such bad reviews. It’s a private clinic that caters to travelers who fall ill. The doctor and the nurse are so calm and kind. My husband is very sick and they are taking the time to take good care of him. I’m sure it’s all very expensive and we will have to pay out of pocket and then our global insurance will reimburse us. BUT I honestly appreciate how up front they are about that. We felt so well cared for by these kind people

Doctor and nurse were extremely lovely and very helpful. We got seen straight away and all follow up medications were provided. Super easy to get to and located with plenty of signage. Yes, the prices were expensive but this is what I would expect when having to get a doctor straight away in a different country, with all medications included in cost.

Arrived at opening, no booking. Saw straight away. Lovely nurse. Full exam from Doctor. Was provided my meds there, saving a trip to pharmacy. Very expensive- have insurance. I was in and out in 40 minutes. Great experience.

I was very impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of Dr. Kusý. He spent 1 hour with me, performing a blood test at the facility and performing a comprehensive examination. He gave me antibiotics, and a prescription which he called a pharmacy to make sure that the pharmacy had the medication. A very good doctor.

English speaking doctor catering to tourists. Doesn't work with any insurance and is on the more expensive side of things but reliable and also does house visits.

I wanted my sons to see the doctor for a big cold during our vacations. The receptionist advised us it would be 6900 KC / 285€ per person as “checkup” to start with, plus blood tests etc… of course, not covered by insurances. Insane, outrageous.

My experience with Dr Stan was amazing. I am feeling so ill, and he was so caring and thorough with his examination. He can speak excellent English. I was there for an hour and he provided me with medication and detailed explanations of how to take and what each one was for. It was expensive but considering how much we’ve spent on getting here, this medication and consult is so worth it. He also provided me with an international medical certificate and receipt specifically noting it was for my travel insurance claim. I am so glad we walked past his doors and he could see me! Thank you Dr Stan!!

Insanely expensive with no reason to it. I had no other choice due to injury where I received diagnosis and medication, but the price shockingly too hight (paid, but noted). Then years later I had to use private medical service in a different country and see miracles, the price was 1/10 of the price in Prague with this 'Doctor'. ...(still have the bills because I had to keep them - total of some 24,000 CZK for 2 visits - 1.5 hours).

This place is straight-up money laundering operating for US embassy. They charge 3x more than anyone in the area and there is nothing you can do because this is the only approved place in Prague.

We visited Prague recently and my 6 year old daughter picked up ear infection which made her cry continuously even after giving pain killers. She could not sleep well due to the extreme pain. We called up Health Centre Prague based on recommendation from one of the TripAdvisor forums. Their service is very professional. They were available even when we called them to visit our hotel at 2AM in the morning. Like other reviewers mentioned the service is indeed a bit costly. But considering their availability for 24hr and turning up at anytime anyplace justifies the cost for the service. Thanks very much for your timely help and prescription. My daughter is getting better now.

These reviews are brutal. But I have to be honest the service was exactly what I needed. No waiting and in and out pretty fast. I don’t care that I paid more. I have medical insurance and I already claimed it and got 80% back. I’m not going to commute 45 minutes each direction to a place that’s half the price. I’m on vacation. If your a local you have time to look around. And if you have a cough stay home. Don’t complain that you went to a doctor about it and they charged you money. Ask your doctor how long they went to university.

The doctor I had was good and thorough, and spoke good English. The issue is that even though they are a clinic that caters to tourists, they refused to provide the documentation I needed to file a claim. They would not provide itemized records of the prescription drugs with the price, which is what the insurance company asked for. I even handed over the phone to the clinic so they could talk to the insurance agents, and they still refused. I think they know they are ripping off tourists and they are worried that they will be shut down. I would recommend going elsewhere to seek medical treatment where they aren't going to gouge you and where there is a little more patient centred care and customer service. I would not gonna here.
