I had Lasik surgery here almost a month ago. From the second day after the surgery my eyesight was almost perfect. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The operation was painless and the doctor and nurses very communicative. Had all the after surgery visits and everything is good. At night and with artificial light there are some halos but nothing terrible. Got rid of the glasses after more than 20 years. It feels good!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Refractive Center Prague. The positive experience began with communication with Babora, who has excellent English language skills. The communication, scheduling, and instructions were exceptional. The Center required a comprehensive medical exam, which involved urine and blood tests, an EKG, and a physical exam. This was their standard procedure to ensure patients are appropriate candidates for eye surgery. I saw this as a positive. The eye clinics I met with in the U.S. did not require this and seemed more concerned with scheduling as many surgery patients as possible. I elected to have the exam performed in Prague, as the cost was much more reasonable than it would have been in the U.S. After the medical exam and it was confirmed that I was an appropriate candidate for eye surgery, I went to Refractive Center Prague where I underwent a comprehensive examination of my eyes. Most of the exam was with Dr. Novak, my surgeon. The exam was thorough, which helped ease my anxiety about eye surgery. Dr. Novak asked me detailed questions about my work, hobbies, activities, and lifestyle. He took meticulous notes. He spent much time educating me about the different lens options. I appreciated the instruction and felt well-informed as to the best lens for my eyes. I cannot put into words how reassuring it was to spend so much time pre-surgery with the actual surgeon who would be operating on my eyes. Dr. Novak is a great listener and he seems to take much pride in the work he does. He has been doing eye surgery for 30 years. The next day, I arrived at the eye center and was assisted through the preparation for surgery by their staff. Everyone was kind and helpful and they all had excellent English speaking skills. I met with Dr. Novak briefly before surgery. He told me what to expect, not to be nervous, told me I was in great hands, and he said that he would be talking to me throughout the surgery. The surgery went well, and Dr. Novak talked to me throughout the surgery, which helped me relax. That night I went back to our hotel with a patch over one eye and lay down for a few hours. I was amazed that I had no eye pain and just minimal discomfort. My wife and I went out for a light dinner near our hotel (sporting an eye patch). I went to sleep, woke up the next morning, and took off the eye patch as instructed. My operated eye already had better vision than my unoperated eye. Again, no eye pain and minimal discomfort. My wife and I spent the rest of the day as normal exploring the beautiful city of Prague. The following day, I met with Dr. Novak one more time. He examined my operated eye and said everything looked great. He asked many more questions about my vision and took more notes. That afternoon he performed surgery on my second eye. Everything went well and I continued the same routine—rest for a few hours, light dinner near hotel, sleep, remove eye patch the next morning, and explore Prague like a normal day. The only difference was that my corrected vision began to improve at a more rapid pace. Dr. Novak explained that this would happen, as my brain could no longer fall back on an unoperated eye. It has been a little over a week since my surgery. The day after my surgery, my vision was very good, and I no longer needed glasses for any distance. Every day my vision improves slightly more and everything I see becomes a little crisper and more vibrant. I can now read a menu in a dark restaurant, read everything on my phone, read small print, and read street signs from a distance. I could not possibly be more pleased with the results of my surgery, Refractive Center Prague, Dr. Novak, and their entire staff. I do not think I could have received anything close to the quality of care I received from Refractive Center Prague anywhere in the U.S. Further, the cost of the surgery was significantly less than it would have been at home. Incidentally, we will be returning next year to Prague so my wife can have the same surgery on her eyes.

Everything has been thoroughly explained to me by the lovely nurses and doctors and I felt in safe hands thorough the entire time. It’s been only a day since my surgery and I can already see better than I ever did with glasses or contacts. And all that for a fraction of the price I would pay in the UK! My wife and I traveled to Prague in April to have laser surgery done for both of us. I couldn't say anything but good things about them. Great communication, very professional, wait times are short and just overall great experience. We arrived a few days early, so we have some time to tour (first time in Prague), did our checks on a Monday, surgery on Tuesday, post surgery on Wednesday, and done. Was able to drive us myself back to the airport the very same Wednesday. We were both a little scared to do it, especially at the same time and and we were well assured by the team and felt much more comfortable once seeing the place and meeting the surgeon. They did the test on my eyes like 10 different times because they weren't happy with some of the initial readings, then the surgeon himself came and redid all the checks to be sure and satisfied with the results, we weren't just rushed through in order to have our money taken. We're both super happy with our results, near perfect vision for both when I had around -5.00 in both eyes and my wife -3.00. Would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to do laser.

Four of us have just returned to the UK from the Refractive Center in Prague where three of us had Lens Replacement Surgery and one had iDesign Lasik. I can honestly say it has been a life changing experience for all of us and can certainly recommend the procedure and the Refractive Center Prague to anyone looking for eye corrective surgery. From the initial contact with Barbora via email through to all of the staff they have been fantastic at every step of the way. Dr Novák is incredible in what he does, from the consultation, the operations and the checkups afterwards. We were all a little apprehensive prior to our surgery - we needn’t have been as we were all cared for by all of the staff and the Ops were pain free both during and after. I am now free from Contact lenses having worn them for the last 32 years. It’s a fabulous feeling waking up and being able to see clearly. The other three individuals are all now glasses free as well - all for less than a third of the UK price. Thank you to the entire clinic team.

Had lens replacement 6 months ago as my reading vision was declining rapidly. Having lens replacement ( johnson and johnson lenses) was the best decision ever. Short and straight forward procedure, no pain. Petr spoke very good English, and explained everything prior. Have since had my eye test at my own optitian and all is good. Bright light at night takes a bit of getting used to. But it was well worth it. And a fraction of UK prices. Hospital is central Prague, which was easy for transport. Would highly recommend.

My wife & I got eye lens replacement surgery carried out in September and we are both delighted with the results. Neither of us have used glasses since the first first eye bandage was removed. All staff encountered were very friendly & efficient. Time was taken to answer any questions & queries we had throughout the process. Still getting the "halo" affect with artificial lights at night time, but it isn't too bad.

After tons of research 3 of us decided to go to Prague to have lens replacement surgery. We also decided to make a vacation out of it. So we traveled to germany and prague for an amazing vacation also. Back to eye surgery, the entire process from the first email communication to the day we walked out after the 2nd eye was complete was flawless!! Dr. Novak was great! He clearly explained everything and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We all ended up getting the top of the line multi lens which ran about $2500 USD for both eyes. The same Johnson & Johnson lens here is the USA ran about $16,000 USD for both eyes. What a deal plus Dr. Novak was more experienced than any eye doctor i have ever visited in the US. His staff all spoke english and were so kind and treated us like family, We definitely miss them. The facility was extremely clean. I am 2 weeks post and my vision is amazing, no more reading glasses, i have to lower the fonts on my iphone. Amazing no regrets. I can actually see at night driving now. Since my return i have so many co-workers and friends asking me about the process and wanting to plan a trip to prague to see Dr. novak... I tell them all, I have done all the guess work for everyone in the USA . My lengthy research on the procedure and the facility and the doctor has already been accomplished. I have paved the way i think for everyone to save a lot of money and also have an amazing vacation. Prague is beautiful :)

Would highly recommend this place! I was researching Lasik options around the world for a few years. In terms of price and quality, this was by far the best option I found. They cater extremely well to foreign patients. The whole staff speaks fluent English. They explained the options and procedure very well and the Doctors were all top notch. So glad I did this!

I had lens replacement surgery last week. The experience from beginning to end was very good. I found the office of The clinic very clean and well appointed. They have the latest equipment to assess patients conditions. I was given my initial exam on Monday afternoon which was professional and relaxed. My surgery was on Wednesday and Friday. Dr Novak and his colleagues put me at ease from the start. The procedure was very quick and completely painless. My recovery has been amazing. I could read my phone the next morning without glasses. Ever since the improvements are continuing with detail continuing to become sharper and colours more vibrant. On top of all that the people who looked after me were really nice. Of course I should say that once you have the surgery you can see the beautiful city of Prague in all its glory. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone.

With a lot of respect I passed the consultations plus eyes surgery and I must say that I have never seen such a professionalism, expertize and value which came out from the process. 20 years of issues with long-term visibility plus astigmatism have been resolved in few minutes when I woke up the day after the surgery into a completely new world full of 8K resolution. I would like to praise the great work of Refractive Center Prague doctors and employees. I underwent FemtoLasik eye surgery in December last year and it exceeded my expectations. To begin with, Mr Novak, my operative doctor, is a very professional eye surgeon, and was treating my eyes extremely gently. The operation itself was quite quick and I did not have any scary side effects I was reading on the Internet. My vision was 100% the next morning after operation, I could not believe it was as easy as that. The clinic provides you with all needed instructions and answers your questions (thank you Barbora) during the recovery period, so if you follow the guidelines, you will be fine. Interestingly enough, in a few days I forgot that I ever wore glasses in my life. Now it feels like my vision has been great from the beginning. I have recently undergone lens replacement surgery with this clinic. The staff there are professional and charming. I was well informed of the procedure and choices I needed to make prior to surgery. The process went without any hitches and my sight is improved and improving on a daily basis. So far so good, I am a happy customer!

To be perfectly frank, I've considered Lasik surgery as an unnecessary luxury. Turned out I underestimated by far how much of an impact perfect vision brings. From small things like shaving, through everyday life freedom, up to watching the horizon line from an airplane's window - it feels like I'm experiencing the life anew. Not only does it not feel like an overindulgence no more, it feels like I ended up with a once-in-a-lifetime barging. It would be worth it on it's own, getting it done at RCP only made it so much better. If someone tells you getting eye surgery is not scary, they are probably laying. Course it is. The thing with fear is, though, that it can be managed and mitigated, and staff at RCP manages that brilliantly. All the way from the primary examination, throughout the surgery itself, everyone made sure I was well informed and conscious, to a point where I started asking myself why my previous opticians didn't mention this or that. By the time the surgery came, I felt like making sure I'm comfortable is the hard part of the process, procedure itself being almost an afterthought - and it was a breeze. I lack words to express my gratitude to the staff for their professionalism, care and warmth - all the way from reception desk, nurses, to the doctors and surgeon. If anything, how smooth the surgery and healing process goes is a bit disappointing, since I have no reason to visit RCP again. If you are someone like me - on the edge, wondering if going for LASIK is a smart choice, since you can live perfectly fine with glasses? It's worth it. It's doubly worth it at RCP.

Refractive Center Prague was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had originally contacted them in 2021, they were fast to provide responses to my questions, with everything explained thoroughly and clearly. I subsequently decided to wait until 2022. Upon contacting them again, I had an eye examination appointment within a couple of weeks and surgery the very next day. Staff, nurses and doctors were all fantastic. Everyone explained things slowly and carefully, calming any nerves and making the whole experience seamless. I can see beautifully (better than with my glasses before!), recovery and healing are following well. Anyone hesitant about going ahead with laser eye surgery need not worry, with Refractive Center Prague for sure a first choice.
