Friendly English speaking receptionist. Had to see the ENT Specialist as had painful ear which was completely blocked, sore throat & blocked sinuses. She was super friendly & prescribed ear drops & pills. Four days later I called her from Spain as my symptoms had not improved. She was extremely rude & told me I cannot call her from another country & to wait for the meds to work, then promptly rang off. Eager to take 70 euros from me for the quick consultation, but not eager to hear from me afterwards. I find this behavior very typical of most doctors I encountered in Prague as I lived there for 3 years. They have zero concept of professional service!

People often take the time to write a review either because they love the service provided, or they want to complain loudly. In my case, and my husband's - we've had wonderful care every time we've visited Poliklinika Na Narodni. Dr. Benes has been our GP ever since we arrived from America 3yrs ago. He is straightforward, thorough and helpful in explaining (in English) the course of therapy he recommends. We've had testing, consulting, and referals. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes to see a doctor. You can walk-in for urgent matters or call ahead for an appointment. Prices are reasonable, especially if you're used to insane US medical costs. I urge you to not be dissuaded by negative reviews. If you need good solid health care, this is the place to go. Very positive experience ever time.

I made an appointment at this medical practice because it was the closest one to my office. Came to an empty Waiting Room and waited for an hour or so. Then the doc came in, I was apparently his first patient that afternoon in urgent need of prescription meds. He told me that he had no medical device to perform the entry medical checkup. Like seriously?! I got an appointment with a specialist with no access to medical devices? Then, he picked up the phone and called someone. Long story short, he made an appointment for me in the outskirts of Prague 5 mins drive from the airport where I had no desire to go, moreover, I was in need of meds and not happy to postpone. I chose Na Narodni because it was close to my office and because they listed a long list of specialists on their website. Really, I did not see as to why one would switch to an awful practice with nasty nurses in the middle of nowhere. To sum up the case, I paid $100 here for one phone call, no examination, no help, to only become rescheduled. This is not fair treatment at all.

Similar to the previous review, had really bad sorethroat for two weeks while traveling in Europe so decided to see a physician. Found this place on some English website and decided to give it a try as another office I went to by the hotel I was staying was charging a ridiculously high price for a regular check up. I am glad I spent 10 more minutes to check this office out just in case. The stuff was very nice and knowledgeable. The whole visit took about 15 min, including check in, examination and two quick tests to ensure I had no bacteria in my body. I paid 1800czh which was about $60. Happy with the service and price. Would definitely recommend this place!

Got sick and needed to see a physician. I found this place on the US Embassy website (they perform visa examinations). They cater to foreign tourists and all the staff spoke English. This is a family practice and good to bring any family member. They can perform most lab tests onsite for quick diagnosis. I received competent, thorough medical care. The office visit and two medications were 2250CZK. The entrance is located by the green cross on the street. Ring the bell at the front door. They will buzz you in and take the elevator to the third floor. Highly recommended.

I went to Dr Stransky for a visit with a complex issue. He took his time to look at my file and examine my case with a very good focus on details. He was kind and concise. Then he arranged a few tests that weren't even available in Czech Republic. The nurses were very kind and communicative too. They even made phone calls to the public institutions for me which was unseen in my experience in CZ. I would strong recommend this office for healthcare. Prices were reasonable and ethical too.

I went to this clinic an hour before it closed because it was the closest one to me and it turned out to be efficient and reasonably priced, especially for American standards. They were very professional and I felt comforted by it. I was given several medications to help my symptoms and I’m glad I did this the first day I arrived in Prague because I still have a week of European traveling.

An old Soviet-era treatment is to be expected here. My first appointment got cancelled 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment. No excuses whatsoever. My doc was a grumpy senior citizen who didn't even bother to write things down for me. Eventually switched to AGEL, which is head and shoulders above this dodgy place.

Only visit this place if you want to lose all your money on bad advice and expensive consultation fee’s and prescriptions which cost triple what they should. Trap for foreigners. Stay away.

When I arrived I was greeted warmly by the receptionist who spoke english very fluently. I did not have an appointment and she said I was lucky because the doctor just had a cancellation. So probably it is a good idea to make an appointment ahead of time, if you don't want to wait a long time. However, I was seen very quickly after filling out the necessary paperwork. The doctor I saw was also very friendly and spoke amazing english. Being a foreigner, they informed me that I would need to pay out of pocket but could then file a claim for reimbursement with my insurance later. They were very up front with the costs and said my visit would be between $1500 and $2500 czk, depending on the doctor, what tests were run, etc. My visit ended up being $2500 czk which I thought was very reasonable since I did have a urine culture done. The doctor wrote me a prescription for antibiotics and I was able to get that filled immediately at a pharmacy which was conveniently located just downstairs from the clinic. Definitely recommend coming here if you are a foreigner in need of immediate assistance.
