Why this institution gets 5 times less funding from the Czech state than the Czech Football Assosiation pretty much sums up the audacity of our prime minister's Andrej Babiš' statement that we are building a country for the future. But every crown the do get, they spend well on useful research.

You can access the beautiful library open to the public. Just across the street from the National Theatre (one of the main tourist attractions in Prague :), but “overseen” even by locals.

On Friday 25.8. at 6:30 p.m., the gentleman called us to inform us that it was closed. There was no sign anywhere and it is supposed to be open until 7 p.m. The front door was not locked with a key, so we just went inside to see the atmosphere. We have probably never heard such shouting and swearing anywhere!

Absolutely fabulous premises of the national institution of Academy of Sciences. Just passing by walk in and have a look. It is publicly accessible during opening hours.

I wrote a substantial portion of my thesis here in September 2016 and I was so incredibly blessed. Never have I worked in a more beautiful, uplifting environment. Thank you!
