The Old Town Bridge Tower is one of the most impressive Gothic works in the world. The tower together with the bridge was built according to the design of Petr Parléř by Karel IV. It is in an absolutely perfect place, from which you can see Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, as well as the Vltava River and Petrin Tower. It is certainly one of the magic of Prague, which ranked Prague in the first place of the most beautiful cities in the world

You cen feel how old the place is. Pay attention to grafiti on the walls. There are many of them, and some are really old and historical on it's own.

Grand Gothic gateway to the famous Charles Bridge - still majestic several centuries later. Nice spot to snag photos of the Charles bridge and/ / or the Prague Castle in the background The gate is open to tour for 170 Czech crowns but is half price the first hour after admission.

The majestic entrance to the bridge from the side of the old town. I had no idea that it existed, to be honest, so my first night in prague i was just strolling in the city, and it suddenly appeared after a corner. I was amazed by its looks during the night. Next to it, the castle was also visible in the distance, which made the overall experience amazing!

To see Prague from above is something do not miss. Beautiful views over the Charles Bridge and the town. The tower is very well preserved but please be careful because there is bees on the rooftop and the circular stairs it can be problematic because it creates vertigo.

This tower stands at the Prague Old Town side of Charles Bridge, which is a must visit when in Prague. The bridge is beautiful, and we viewed it from a boat trip on the river Vltava and by crossing it on foot. It is very busy throughout the day and evening.

This Old Town Bridge Tower is the massive Tower supposed to protect and guard the Charles bridge entrance. This tower is sitting right on the entry of the Charles Bridge and beside the Charles Bridge Museum. The best way get there is with a tram stop Karlovy Lázně or you can take a walk from the Wenceslas square and the walk takes you about ten to fifteen minutes get here. My tip. I personally like to take photographs of the tower from the Charles's bridge at earlier mornings. The closest way get to the tower is from the Tram Stop call m Karlovy Lázně. Then you just walk towards the stone bridge on the left hand. Then you walk further and you reach the Charles Bridge Museum and on the left is the Old Town Bridge Tower and the Charles Bridge. I am advising take the trips earlier morning when is less people and enjoy morning walk with incredible feelings around these places. The tower is massive and look through on the Charles Bridge is very nice view. The tower itself is incredible monument of the past represent all the centuries and make you small and think when standing and looking at the tower. Beside the tower is the Charles Bridge Muzeum also worth consider to visit. I think there is also shop where tourist can purchase ticket to cruise on the River Vltava.

Great visit to the Charles bridge between Old Town and Mala Strana. So much to see, wonderful architecture, tons of shops and places to eat.

(Translated by Google) Overlooking the eastern side of Charles Bridge, this graceful tower is located at the entrance to the Old Town of Prague and offers an enchanting view over the rooftops of the capital. The Old Town Tower (Staroměstská mostecká věž) is an imposing Gothic building that watches over the access to the Old Town district and marks the eastern limit of the famous Charles Bridge over the Vltava River.

We explored the tower at sun set so managed to get some lovely views of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle lighting up the night. Fantastic staff at the top of the tower provided great historical information. The old timber structure in the tower is amazing, to think how old it is. We really enjoyed walking outside around the top of the tower taking in the sights and sounds of Prague. I would highly recommend a look.

Great experience . . . . were greeted by staff dressed as sailor's which added to the excitement. The boat was warmed by a wood fire (with funnel 🫣) which made us lovely and cosy. Everyone had the choice of a warm drink or Prosecco once seated . . fabulous

Not only does it look fabulous, but the ambience and views of the bridge are fantastic. From here to the east you can enjoy the wonderful delights of the city centre.

Going up the tower is worth it. Nice visuals of the city from many directions. The ticket price is too much considering there isn’t much in the tower itself. If you don’t want to pay you can skip the tower and not miss much.

Great experience! The internal exhibit had English subtitles and was quite interesting. Amazing view of the city from the top. There are metal plaques that help you recognise all the major buildings of the city and it's so fun.

I recommend visiting early morning or at sunset (although you'll find less people in the morning). Great view, but if you'd like to take photos to the castle, you should go before 4pm, so your photos won't be dark.

One of the best views of the Prague castle and the Charles bridge. And it usually isn't even that crowded considering the amount of tourists below. And the price is also very reasonable - 150 czk for adult ticket More on my YouTube channel Lex Universe

Hot and happening 😻 place. Construction is amazing, historical place with rich cultural background. Maintenance is amazing, small shops are eye catching. Good place to visit and feel the history. Status are well crafted and still represent catholic era in Europe. Lots of food local shops to enjoy local taste.....

Absolutely magnificent! Old Prague it's like opening a childhood stories book, and see all the princess castles, dragon bridges, and witches towers in the same place. Definitely a place to come back.

A nice place to visit in Prague. Wonderful view over the whole city from the top. There is a museum in the basement and on one of the upper floors. You can buy tickets directly here in the 1. floor.

I love this bridge and the tower. You can go up in the tower on the left side under it(you have to climb some small stairs and pay at the first floor).

Always Great experience to visit it, better to visit early morning or late night to enjoy the beautiful view on river Statue of Charles IV at Charles Bridge Prague The king Charles IV (14 May 1316 - 29 November 1378) also known Charles of Luxembourg. He has been known as the Father of the Homeland. Maybe that’s why most Czechs think of him as a sort of inviolable icon, a revered and idealized monarch. Nevertheless, Charles IV, this Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor was a man of flesh and blood, with strengths and weaknesses of his own.

Nice place and nice view from the top of the tower. The short video on the progress of Charles bridge construction was impressive. You get 50% discount on entry fee if you go in the first hour of opening

  • 5/5 Amarnath m. 2 years ago on Google
The tower museum was great and we could go to the top of the tower. The entrance fee is 50% for the first hour from the opening time, usually at 10:00. So it was a great deal. The Boat tours start right adjacent to the tower

A tower similar to Prasna Brana / Powder Tower, located about 1km away. The climb is done on the stairs, but there are not many. The view from above is very beautiful.

Make sure to visit as soon as possible! Like, you'll never see it this empty anytime soon again! (Unless COVID mutates to Omega) Back in 2019 you could hardly pass over the bridge because of tourist groups

  • 4/5 Iulia C. 1 year ago on Google
You need to buy a ticket to go up in this tower, 150CZK. It's a perfect place to see the sunset, and it offers a great view towards the bridge, Castle and square. They have maps explaining the main buildings in the city. The terrace up the tower is however very small and they allow way too many people there. You need to squeeze to pass through the other tourists. Basically the tiles are shining from all the people tho sat on them in order to pass from one place to another.

  • 5/5 Adam L. 1 year ago on Google
This was so quiet! We only had to share this experience with around 2 other people. Felt like a private tour! Great views of the area and some nice info on the history.

  • 4/5 Katethip V. 1 year ago on Google
Very beautiful Gothic gateway. We didn't walk up the 138 steps to the viewing gallery since we have senior members with us. But for our liking viewing this magnificent towers from the Charles Bridge alone is just as fantastic. This tower looks most monstrous and Gothic at night and with the modern install lighting. A must if you are in the area.

I come here during the year-end holidays.. too many tourists and visitors... be careful with your luggage.. from this bridge you can see the view of the city of Prague.. the beauty of the city you get here.. really spoils the eyes. it would be nice if we could maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the city... not destroying all public property. many photo spots that you can get here

  • 5/5 David Gómez R. 10 months ago on Google
Great views from up there, there are two levels for sightseeing, an indoors one and the one at the top. Tickets are sold inside of the tower, on the first floor. On the basement you’ll find a video explaining the history of the tower & the bridge.

  • 5/5 Pranav R. 9 months ago on Google
This is the east tower of the Charles bridge. the best time to go there is the early morning before it opens. It opens at 9, you can enter the tower and go up to the top with ticket.

  • 5/5 D K. 9 months ago on Google
Go before 10, and it's 50% off. I think 90% of the people walking across Charles Bridge don't even notice the entrance. There was a really nice man on the top who was so excited to talk about Prague, he was worth the admission

  • 5/5 ana p. 9 months ago on Google
it’s a nice gate tower, but less impressive compared with the gate at the lower town at the other end of Charles Bridge.

So amazing, around have churches were you can go inside and look how nice they are. A little to much people, be careful with your personal stuff, just to be careful because it’s a lot of tourist. But a must have!!

The Old Bridge Tower, and the Charles Bridge were beautiful. We made it to the Bridge by 8:30 AM and avoided some of the crowds. It was breathtakingly beautiful in the morning light.

  • 5/5 Amir B. 10 months ago on Google
Lovely atmosphere, nice views of the river and lots of artists and painters offering their art. Lovely musics can be heard and sometimes singers sing along the bridge. There is also a museum for this bridge just on the side of that.

Hidden away in a small door in the tower. Long climb of stairs, but the view is spectacular. Nice view of the bride and the entire city.

  • 5/5 Reza M. 7 months ago on Google
There’s a very small door for the entrance that you might first neglect it! There are around 170 steps until you get the beautiful view of the city. No elevator!!!

One of the best view points over the city of prague, its a must visit, i think the entrance fee is 5 euros. At the first glance it looks hard to get along all the stairs up, but when you put your leg on the first step you will love every moment and will not get tired. Do not forget your cameras.

This is a spot for a different view of the city. It is open late which allow the appreciation of this great city at night. Inside there is a small museum where you can see the city through the windows which are locked but the top part of the tower is opened.
