Placed in front of Prague national museum. The square is packed with fast food establishments, stores, hotels... Keep walking straight down the avenue to reach the Astrological clock.

Well designed and located in a central area. Easy to capture a photo and enjoy the area around it. You can enjoy the motioning coffee in the nearby Coffee shops & restaurants. Additionally, you can do some shopping on both sides of the statue and the nearby fashion shops at the other end of the statue. The area in the morning time is a little crowded, however, it is sharing with the lightening at the evening time. I liked it more in the evening.

the Saint Wenceslas Statue is a must-see attraction in Prague. Its artistic beauty, historical significance, and central location make it a captivating symbol of Czech identity. Whether you're exploring Wenceslas Square or simply seeking a connection to Czech history and culture, the Saint Wenceslas Statue offers a powerful and memorable experience. The statue itself is a work of art, beautifully crafted and intricately detailed. Depicting Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia, mounted on a majestic horse, it exudes strength, nobility, and reverence. The lifelike representation of the figures and the careful attention to detail make it a captivating sight to behold.

The best way to be here is through the metro station museum, where red and green lines meet. A picturesque place, the statue of the Saint in the background of the museum and the long street. This is where the 1989 revolution took place to free czech Republic from Soviet ruling. People here are very relaxed, not much traffic rules are maintained, by the humans. When I visited a protest was going on regarding animals and climate. A busy, nice and enjoyable place.

This magnificent monument stands in tribute to Saint Wenceslas. It's an equestrian statue, almost at the apex of the eponymous square, just in front of the National museum. The monument has the saint in military attire and holding a flagstaff in his right hand , while his left holds the reins of his horse. The equestrian statue stands atop a rectangular plinth with four other sculptures at each corner. I had to do a bit of research to figure out who they were, but it's other Czech patron saints depicting Saint Ludmila, Saint Agnes of Bohemia, Saint Prokop, and Saint Adalbert. A monumental sculpture and more so as it stands at the top of a long street. A bit of patience is required to get a clear photo as many people like to use the monument as a place to rest.

This historic monument, located in the vibrant Wenceslas Square, is not only a testament to Czech history but also an impressive piece of art. The statue depicts Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia, in a majestic pose, surrounded by other Czech patron saints. It's awe-inspiring to see how the sculptor captured the essence of Czech pride and resilience in this work. The location of the statue adds to its charm, standing at a place that has witnessed many significant events in Czech history. It's a popular spot for both tourists and locals, offering a great opportunity for those interested in Czech history and culture. Visiting this statue also provides a chance to explore the surrounding area, which is bustling with shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or just someone exploring Prague, the statue of Saint Wenceslas is a must-visit. It's not just a monument; it's a symbol of the Czech spirit and a reminder of the rich history that shapes this beautiful city.

The Saint Wenceslas statue, square and the Muzeum/Mustek metro stations nearby are probably where your Prague adventure will begin as a tourist, and where you will always find yourself returning. To be honest, to me, it is more iconic than the Old Town Square. The entire square has this slow climb towards the Museum and, coupled with great width, it makes it really majestic to walk on. Its THE center of Prague to be sure - one from which you can find anything you need and go anywhere you want.

One of the most famous Prague sculptures is the work of Josef Václav Myslbek (1912). The bronze equestrian statue of Prince Wenceslas is surrounded by statues of four Czech saints - St. Ludmila, St. Prokop, St. Agnes and St. Vojtěch. The monument was created in the years 1887-1924. Bronze equestrian statue of St. Václava is 5.5 m tall, height with spear 7.2 m, weight 55 q. The statue is hollow, assembled from casts according to the plaster model. The model for the horse was the military stallion Ardo.

(Translated by Google) Wenceslas Square (Czech: Václavské náměstí) is located in the new part of Prague (Nové Město). It is named after St. Wenceslas, patron saint of the Czech Republic. Its medieval name was Koňský trh, named after St. Wenceslas in 1848. The square has been the scene of many historical events, as Prague traditionally holds its celebrations, demonstrations and demonstrations here. It was here that Jan Palach and Jan Zajíc, who protested against the defeat of the Prague Spring, set themselves on fire, and here were the largest rallies during the Velvet Revolution. The shape of Wenceslas Square is more like a wide boulevard than a traditional square. Rectangular with a longer side of 750 meters and a shorter side of 60 meters. [1] The space is 45 thousand square meters. The square rises in a south-easterly direction towards the National Museum, built in the neoclassical style. In this square we can see a statue of Prince Wenceslas sitting on a horse, surrounded by the figures of the four Czech patron saints: Ludmilla, Agnes, Adalbert, and Prokop. The monument is a symbol of Czech statehood. One of the best-known sculptures in Prague, on which its creator worked for twenty years while gaining its present form. The creator lived in Prague between 1848 and 1922. With this goodness he lived there for most of his life. He is one of the most prominent figures in Czech sculpture. He was a teacher at the College of Fine Arts from 1896 to 1919. In addition to this large-scale monument, he also created portraits, wells, and several monuments. His works mostly reflect monumental realism. The statue of St. Adalbert on the pedestal was not inaugurated until 1924. (Original) A Vencel tér (csehül: Václavské náměstí) Prága új városrészében (Nové Město) található. Téglalap alakú, hosszabbik oldala 750 méter, a rövidebbik 60 méter.[1] A tér 45 ezer négyzetméter alapterületű. A tér délkeleti irányba, a neoklasszicista stílusban épült nemzeti múzeum felé emelkedik. Ezen a téren láthatjuk Vencel fejedelmet ábrázoló szobrát lovon ülve, körülötte a négy cseh védőszent alakja : Ludmilla, Ágnes, Adalbert, és Prokop. Az emlékmű a cseh államiság jelképe. Az egyik legismertebb prágai szobor, melyen alkotója húsz éven át dolgozott, míg elnyerte mai formáját. Az alkotó 1848 és 1922 között élt Prágában. Ezzel jószerével élete nagy részén ott élt. A cseh szobrászat egyik legkiemelkedőbb alakja.
