The best ten euros I've ever spent. Jiri Stivan & Co. Jazz Quartet was phenomenal!!! Tasty, affordable drinks, and great service. The stage was well-lit, and the sound was terrific! At the jazz club, I met a lovely couple from Belgium who travel to Prague twice a year just for this specific venue. That really does say something. Definitely a must-go!

Brilliant jazz club. This place is stunningly built, hollowed out into the basement of an ancient stone house. The acoustics were a little off sometimes but more than makes up for it with the intimacy it lends to an evening of jazz. Best 10€ I ever spent. Would go every week if I lived in this city.

Cool little venue downstairs in what seems like a cave. Entry was really cheap, as we're drinks. Staff were friendly and the music was top notch even on weekday night. Would highly recommend.

The band we heard that night was absolutely great! Fantastic music and a nice atmosphere. The entrance is around 12 euros (which seems fair for a live band), but the drinks and snacks are low priced.

A great little venue (feels like a cave) with great music. The pianist was astounding. Friendly staff and good prices too - delighted we went there.

One of the most amazing music clubs in the world. One only needs to look at the celebrities on the walls and the quality of the musicians that have played here to know it's a seriously brilliant music venue in the heart of Bohemia's magical city. The music is ALWAYS of the highest quality with the very best artists performing here. My latest experience was the Frank Sinatra tribute. The musos would have done even the 'Chairman of the Board' (Ol' Blue Eyes) proud. All thumbs up for this establishment!

Good music and honest prices, the staff was also very helpful and polite. The band had very good musicians as well, I’d certainly recommend checking it out. A bit loud on the first seats, may want to consider a place a bit far back if your eardrums are sensitive

Provided that you like jazz, AghaRTA should be on your itinerary if you're visiting Prague. There are live performances by excellent musicians almost every night, and the venue is a really cool space in its own right. I first visited AghaRTA in 1998. Back then the club was in a different place, also a cellar. It seemed to still exude the subversive atmosphere of the dissident movement of the end of the communist era. That sense of urgency has disappeared, but it's still a great place to hear some really good music. You can find out who will be performing on the club's website. Reserve a table if you want to be sure that you'll have a seat. I'm pretty confident you won't regret it. Unless you're one of those people who don't like jazz, of course, but who cares what they think anyway.

The place to take tasty cocktails. But for my mind, jazz concert wasn't so good. The instrumental music is nice, but musicians weren't so charismatic to make real atmospheric evening

We went at 29.12.2022 and talked to a very kind person for a table of 2. He showed us the tables and we choose the one in front of the band, which we reserved for the next night and pre-paid it. Next night we came on time with my friend and the table was already taken by another couple. Another man was in charge that night and we explained him that a couple is sitting in our table and he said it's a share table. Very unkindly by the way. I told him that they never explained us that it would be a share table and this table is so small for 4 people. He said that this is it and if we don't like it we can take out money back. We took it and we left full of disappointment, as my friend had her birthday and we were so eager to listen live jazz music. Also because of the days was so difficult to find a table to place and and move around the city so they almost ruined our night. Not recommended.

We really wanted to visit one of Prague's many jazz venues, but weren't sure which one to pick. We ended up at AghaRTA, and my god was it worth it. Really fun atmosphere, cheap drinks, and Captain Fingers (the house band) was incredible. Oh, and great acoustics too. You must visit if you're in the city!

This is a complete ripoff and one of the most poorly run jazz clubs I have ever been to. They do not honor their reservations. They did not hold our seats which we reserved and prepaid ahead of time. They also oversold the room. Instead, they offered us standing room in the hall and refused to refund our money or offer tickets for another night. This kind of behavior would not fly at any decent jazz club in a major city. They should be embarrassed. This is a tourist trap and should be avoided at all costs.

The band and music was super nice. But, despite i booked the ticket two weeks in advance, it appeared that i also needed to book the table, because all the tables were marked as reserved. there were some benches around the room across the wals, but you literally see nothing from there. and you need to come much in advance to take good places. my wife was not able to come, so having payed 600czk, i left earlier, because it was just not comfortable to sit far behind and see nothing. Second thing, i asked for a drink 3 times: first barmen just ignored me, waitress just said "well you can wait here, or there, but no guarantee you will catch me", and administrator was just so busy trying to squizz people into that small room, that just, i guess, forgot that he promised to bring a glass of something. good business, guys. but the music was nice.

Saw the Adam Tvrdý Trio (who music-loving friends said we HAD to see while in Prague) at AghaRTA jazz club last night, and had the most incredible night. The band were some of the most talented musicians my friends and I have ever had the pleasure of seeing live - such a wide range of genres and absolute masters of their craft. The venue was incredible too - staff were able to help us book over email as we were visiting from London. Snacks and drinks available and such a beautiful space - one of Prague’s most famous jazz spots. Will definitely be back! Such a high calibre of live music!

Excellent atmosphere, very personal, small space, drinks are great. Best place for jazz in Prague so far (of three venues I’ve tried).

Fantastic music, cozy atmosphere and good vibes! The drinks are affordable but not so convincing. I'd always return for the jazz, though 👌

We went there for a live jazz concert. The quality of the music was awesome, and the atmosphere was perfect for a jazz club. We just drank cocktails and are snacks, but the both the quality and quantity was good. The staff was friendly. Overall an amazing experience

Not sure if you like jazz? Try this and be convinced. A fantastic night of music (and beer of course) in this atmospheric old cellar in the heart of Prague. The Rhythm Desperados are a talented and exciting band who enjoy their music, and enjoy their audience enjoying the music. Modern jazz standards and lesser known pieces with a touch of funk, latin, and some sentimental bits thrown in. But seriously exciting solos and improv has the crowd cheering for more. Near full house on a Sunday night so book a table. The venue has a good bar menu with normal Czech prices but only light snacks, not dinner service. Jazz CDs for sale, and I bought the T shirt - much more memorable souvenir of Prague than a Clock fridge magnet.

We just stumbled upon this jazz club and was the best decision we made! Had the best time listening to an impressive collection of musicians sipping on our sparkling red wine. Drinks were reasonably priced, staff was friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic, highly recommend!!

beautiful little jazz bar, went on a Tuesday night to see Latin Wave, the musicians were so good, drinks very reasonably priced. Only complaint is they closed earlier than advertised, had been planning on trying one last drink which we couldn't, but this wasn't a big deal. very reasonable, at 300 czk to get in, and drinks menu attached

This jazz bar was recommended by a local & it did not disappoint. Nice little underground bar & the musicians were great. The entry fee is 300 czk.

Great Jazz club. Follows the cliché of a secluded door leading down to an underground bar and separate performance area. Superb musicians on each of my 3 visits. Great atmosphere.

I went there on 25/12/2022. The band was SPECTACULAR. The bassist, the drummer, the guitarist were super in harmony. The saxophonist was AMAZINGLY TALENTED. the beers were amazing and the staff were super helpful and friendly.

If you are a jazz fan you should definitely visit this place. 300czk for a two and a half hours concert from top musicians its what i call value for money.

One of the highlights of our 3 weeks in Europe. Wonderful underground spot. The quartet playing the night we were there (Sept 9) were all talented to a man. Their energy was incredible. And you get to drink Pilzner Urquell to boot! What more could you ask for. If I lived in Prague my wife and I would be fixtures. You must go.

Goog location, in center. If you like live jazz music i think its the only place but the band was not great. Also service is almost non existant so you have to get up and go the the bar to order and its in another room so you miss the show each time. Entrance fee was 250czk, per person

This venue is well worth a visit. We saw the Rhythm Desperados, and they put on a fantastic show. I would definitely return. It was so fun just to watch the saxofonist and see how much he enjoyed playing music. I saw that some other clubs' reviews mentioned that people were packed in. It's not the case at this club - the seating arrangement is what you see on their website. I booked the tickets in advance and really like that I could pick my seats. I would recommend getting a seat along either wall as they are on a raised platform, but really there are no bad seats in this perfect venue.

Amazing!! Beautiful atmosphere, cozy place with great musicians and wonderful english-speaking staff. You can purchase tickets online and book your seats, or purchase them upon arrival. We went to see Captain Fingers and they were EPIC!!! Absolutely mindblowing!! Definitely check them out if you're in Prague, I'm in love with this place and will definitely be returning!!

We really enjoyed our visit and the band, which I believe is the regular club band. Great setting and music. Very impressive, talented musicians.

Such a wonderful experience on our citytrip. Make sure you make a reservation or come right at opening time to get your seat because seating is limited. The live band was very good and we heard from other costumers that from all the jazz clubs in Prague, Agharta is always a good choice. We were happy that seating is limited so that the small venue is not too crowded. The cocktails are not the best to be honest but service was very good and you can easliy choose another local drink or small snack during the live music. Thank you for the great evening!

Nice place, quiet and still that you reach going downstairs to what It seems an old wine cellar now converted as a pub. They have a big room with a big scenario and there it happens all jazz concerts. Good sound, good environment and good vibrations.

For me the best Jazzclub of Prague. It is open every day and you are always treated with top quality Jazz, Fusion or even some Jazz-rock. Beverages are at very reasonable prices, they hold your table if you as for a reservation. I love the Agharta band, Captain Fingers and the Rhythm Desperado's, they play more fusion-jazz and make sure it is fun for everybody. You will have a feel-good moment when you leave !

The place had been on my to-do list for super long. Tried booking online but the place was sold out. I thought to give a try by calling them and got lucky! The place is small but just enough to enjoy the most amazing jazz. Worth a visit. If going for cocktails, do try their Siesta 💜

I came first time 9 years ago. A night in Agharta is always the correct and rewarding choice for not just listening but experiencing a jazz night.

👍👍 For me, the best place to eat in Prague. Not only drinks, but also foods arrive at your table on trains. On some tables, trains return to even take empty plates! On top of that - the food is delicious, same goes for drink. The staff is very kind and polite. I definitely recommend this place.
