We went there as it was butterflies exhibition. It was very crowded but we got see many beautiful species anyway. As you coming inside you have first some fish tanks. You can see blind fish there and other types. You are not supposed to touch butterflies as it could kill them but one landed on my husband which was funny to watch. Very interesting to see different type of flowers and butterflies. I would recommend to visit it, if you have a chance.

I wish I could give more stars. I love this garden. Big plus, the ticket includes the Fata Morgana greenhouse where butterflies are flying around freely, there's a waterfall, an indoor lake with a wooden bridge, and a flower shop/ souvenir shop. The whole garden is incredibly well kept, from the large mountain forest with the huge trees, the nearby lake with ducks, or the desert area with cactus and succulents. It's like travelling to a completely different place with just a small walk. I was also amazed by the Japanese garden, super scenic. Plenty of space to sit and relax everywhere. Cheap beer :D Definitely worth a visit. Or two. Or many.

A beautiful, calm place to spend at least half a day in. Definitely one if the best botanical gardens we visited. Watch out though, the parking is at least 200 CZK.

This is a very cool garden, a cozy place. A huge collection of plants. You can spend a whole day here. I recommend coming here early, in comfortable clothes and having lunch in the beautiful scenery

Quiet and beautiful place to spend and afternoon. The botanical garden is well layed out and the Japanese garden is unique of its kind in Europe. Can highly recommend but the "Fatamorgana" was not as impressive as one could have hoped.

A very beautiful botanical garden, the most impressive is the pavilion with exotic plants from all over the world and a tiny aquarium. I loved the Japanese garden, too. You can easily spend a day there. There aren't many places to eat besides a fast food place and a winery with local wines ( lovely ). Highly recommend a visit.

It's so nice and calm here. Accessibility for the people on wheelchair. Free magazines from the Garden and nice gift shop. But we could see only one sector, one from add was not for all. I think there are some other sections which we could see, but they had not good guided us.

Absolutely beautiful! Massive gardens so it doesn't feel like you're in Prague at all, so tranquil. Staff is nice and friendly. The Fata Morgana is ace! (Be prepared for some serious heat!) Only downside is the distance from the bus stop as we went with 70+ years old parents, but I guess that keeps the crowds away. We love it anyway and recommend it highly.

What a wonderful place to go. We went on a study trip with a group of 50 people and we’re greeted with excitement. After a short explanation most of us walked through the inner terrarium with lots of butterflies and other interesting plant life. After that the group split up to enjoy the surprisingly warm sun at the restaurant and went on to explore various parts of the park. Seeing all these plants there in their own little habitats is a treat. We had a lot more fun than we thought 50 adolescent students would have!

This place is stunning! I strongly recommend visiting. I was amazed by vast collection of bonsai trees. There is not many people and the place is really quiet and peaceful. Great for an afternoon walk.

Nice place to go for a walk with spectacular views of Prague. Some parts of the garden were closed. I appreciate that it’s quite large and also has little winery with a view. Overall, it’s ok.

A very nice place to visit. A great variety of plants. I liked the outdoor exhibitions but Fata Morgana was the best of all. Unfortunately there were no butterflies on my visit.

You should see it, but not on a Monday. The Fata Morgana is closed on Monday. The ticket doesn’t contain any map. Practical garden guide can be downloaded at their website.

I've had a great, calming walk through the garden. The japanese garden was probably my favorite part of the whole park. If you need a break from all the city rush, I definitely recommend a visit here. The only downside of my visit was a private party near the pond and cactus house, which means I couldn't view the whole park. This wouldn't have been a problem if I had known at the entrance (a sign stating that cactus house is closed would have been great).

Last weekend I went to ‘Tajuplný dýňový podium’ in the Botanical garden! There were big pumpkins and various shapes of pumpkins too. this festival is until 31 October. But still, there ate many things to experience So, I Recommend visiting :) Especially I loved the Troja Castle Garden view!

It is very nice place to spend the day! Good for kids and grownups. They have the pigmy lilly! And many more of course!

I always liked these gardens but they started charging full entry price even in the winter months when there is hardly anything to see as plants are resting for the winter. It used to be free so Praguers could walk there and get some fresh air. Pity.

Great place to go for a walk and enjoy views of the Prague cityscape on a Sunny day. During the visit some parts of the garden were closed off or undergoing construction so inform yourself of what is available beforehand. Japanese garden is amazing so give that a visit, but be prepared to constantly maneuver around baby strollers as the pathways are not too wide. Overall if you have some spare time and are looking for a place to relax close to the city, highly recommend to visit the botanical garden.

Totally unplanned visit that turned into a fantastic afternoon. Relaxing escape. Caught the storm but even that didn't take away the magic. 😍 Highly recommend coming there along the river on a bike...adds to the experience and views. Gorgeous!

Awesome flower exposition to botanic garden in Prague. The last weekend it could be seen, still opened till September 22nd. Lovely ❤place to visit.

Beautiful and quiet place to visit. You can also enjoy a beer at the bar inside the garden. The only improvement we suggest is to provide an English translation to the shields describing the different areas of the garden.

Anbindung Nahverkehr ausgezeichnet

Beautiful place for plant lovers especially, but also for people who seek quiet and relaxing place to visit. There is a lot of lovely flowers, accompanied by stone statues, lakes, waterfalls, bees and butterflies. Scenery like form a fairytail.

Today I only had time for a quick tour (a few hours...) , but it certainly is worth time to enjoy all the plants and different environments that you can find here. There are snack bars and a restaurant with vegan and raw options. And the view over Prague makes climbing the hill worth. The slope is full of different types of vine. I can't wait for the next visit!

Super beautiful Botanical Garden with nice paths inside to walk through. Plants are super healthy and taken care off. It was just a bit small and there were barely any benches inside the Glasshouse to sit down, enjoy your surrounding and read a book.

An absolute gem of the city — beautifully landscaped on a hillside garden with a wide selection of plants. Impressive tropical pavilion Fata Morgana. Amazing city views. And on top of that delightful wine experiences! Use an entrance located on the top of the hill accessible from K Pazderkám street (bus 102 and others) and stroll down. Highly recommended if the weather permits. Allow for 2-4 hours to enjoy most of the place.

Beautiful walk through different biotops. Pleasant visit during every season.

Amazing! Fantastic location to get everywhere by foot. Near the train station/trolleys for other transportation. Bed was super comfortable and rooms quiet, clean and simply modern. Breakfast was included and fantastic with HUGE selection of everything you could think of. The gym was obviously newly redone and although small, had a plethora of updated equipment. The only improvement might be to have it cooler in the workout room but otherwise would definitely stay here again when in Prague.

Smallish- hence the 4stars- but cute and easily combinable with a stroll in the city centre. Still bigger than it looked from the outside. Friendly staff. There’s a cosy students’ restaurant in the back where they cook well, limited options, eat before 1:30pm in order to still get food.

Unfortunately quite unimpressive, no English translations on cards and is segmented. One has to get out of one segnent, cross the streets and walk to the other one. There are some signs on the road, but not enough.

One of the worse botanical gardens I have ever seen. I do understand all these good ratings. At least not good in March-April

Fabulous place to spend a day in! We particularly liked the 'Fata Morgana'(with their little aqarium and all the exotic plants), info about indigenous tribes in the American section, bonsai display in Japanese garden and live concert near the pivonkova louka! To see everything it took us around 4-5 hours.

I like the indoor botanical part, we didn't have time for the outside part. Just the inside we not so large, but had a lot to see. Recommended.
