Petrin Hill was really nice. I went there through the old city so the climbing felt like hiking. I liked it a lot. Many places to stand and many pathways to follow. There was a cable car to the top, but i chose the longer way through the park. It was a very nice trail. At the top there is a restaurant and other buildings like the small tower. Also, there are several observation points to gaze the city.

Beautiful place! We had a very bad experience at the funicular station. The station control guy started shouting at everyone in the queue and even use words like “stupid” as the instructions were not clear. Because of this, we took the walk up instead even though we had paid and validated the tickets. It was a good decision as the walk up and down was refreshing and we were rewarded by amazing views of the city. Just be careful not to let the station crew spoil your day if you encounter him. He is unreasonable and aggressive to everyone in the station.

A nature park at its best. Let us list what all you will get, hill, amazing view of the city, trees, squirrels, gardens, roses, sculptures and what else, cafe. One can use the fernacular, but it was closed when I visited. But the walk was also great. Much better place to enjoy Prague than the over crowded Charles bridge.

Beautiful hill and park in Prague. Easy walk to the top or you can take the funicular. Amazing views of Prague city. Various places to get drinks or eat along the way or at the top. Stunning gardens in the summer time. Lots to see and do for kids as well.

Beautiful view of Prague. I rate very positively and highly recommend visiting Petrin Hill. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the Petrin Tower is closed, but it is still a beautiful view.

Very beautiful place with lots of greenery. You can go on foot but it is quite, much more convenient with the funicular! You can also visit the observatory and the museum. You must get on the metal tower, the elevator did not work and had to climb around 300 steps but it was worth it because of the unique view from the top and !!!

Incredible view from the tower that’s worth the entrance. A real workout to get up and down in the heat. Nice selection of drinks and ice creams at the bottom to refresh with afterwards

Very little once you're up there, a coffee shop or 2 but nothing else unless you walk down past the Strahov library and Loreto. There is also the Basilica of Assumption of our Lady, but this also closed due to renovations. The highlight was the Funicular ride & down.

It's such a beautiful place! Nature at its best. Lovely view, flowers, trees... Such a delight to be there. You could hear the birds, smell the roses, breathe the fresh air and simply enjoy nature! The place was full of people, yet is did not feel crowded. It's quite a big place, you can sit on the benches there and observe the beauty of nature. To go up, you take the funicular or walk by foot, though it's quite challenging. There are also many attractions on the hill. Before getting to the hill, there are some coffee shops/restaurants. The view from there is also breathtaking. Very enjoyable experience. I recommend it very much!!

Petřín Lookout Tower is an amazing place on the top of Petřín hill. The 299 steps to the viewing platform are not easy to get off, but the view to the city including the Prague Castle and the Vltava River are great. The best view is during the sunset! At the basement is small, but very nice gift shop.

Very beautiful hill accessible by toy train or on foot gives nice city views ,children play area, benches , large trees to rest under them , this is a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon or early morning walk . We enjoyed walking here and resting a bit after the afternoon lunch before heading to Prague castle which is close by

We enjoyed the walk up to a hill and warm up bit 😄 Beautiful view! I recommend visit in spring time to see blooming trees and kiss your loved one under one of trees.

Nice place with many possible routes to climb to the top. There is a nice view on the city from there. You can also use the railway train to get to the top (60 CZK/person). We choosed the railway, but keep in mind, that it has one optional stop on it’s way, which is not a final station :) If you have some time, then I think it’s worth to go there, but it’s not a „must see” checkpoint if you are short on time

No real looking point unless you go to the 1/4 Eiffel Tower. The view on the team was nicer. We went on a very hot day and the plants were in need of desperate water. I’m sure on a cooler day and more time to enjoy the walks of the garden could be beautiful

  • 4/5 K C. 1 year ago on Google
Went up on the funicular railway & walked around the gardens. Great views of Prague. Didn't go up the tower as loads of school groups going up but went into the astronomical tower/ planetarium. Looked through the giant telescope. Was during the day so looked at the sun, wanted to go back in the evening but too cloudy. Lovely little cafe with outdoor seating area. Only a few pounds entry fee.

Nice park with some great views of Prague. Its worth going up the tower to make the most of the viewing platform

Great place for all ages. At least 3 children’s play areas. Pony rides for children. Beautiful gardens. Reasonably priced ice cream. Great views. We were not over impressed with the mirror maze, and you have to pay for the toilets that are halfway up near the restaurant.

  • 5/5 Andrew V. 2 years ago on Google
Some of the best views of the city, and its covered so can check the view out rain or shine. Make sure to get the 24h public transport ticket, the ticket for the furnicilar is included in it.

Walked up. Was good. Did not go up tower. Was better views on way up than from the area around tower. Area around tower had food and some old churches, pretty nice.

A hill that offers you very nice views of the town. You can reach the top on foot or by funicular. Here you can find an old monastery-Strachov (there’s also a nice brewery), an astronomical observatory and a copy of Eiffel tower that you can climb to. Views from its top are wonderful!

How lucky to witness the onset of spring and look at everyone come out to enjoy the Sun! Lovely walk and they even have a Starbucks at the top of the hill. You can either take the funicular or hike up the hill. It’s a beautiful way to spend a day in Prague 😄

Piece of a genuine central European forest right next to the city centre. Easily accessible by a network of paved paths.

  • 5/5 Carolyn H. 4 years ago on Google
There's a tram that will take you up the side of the hill, however, it was a stunning hike. Once you get to the top of the hill, if you decide you want to get the full view from the tower, there is an entrance fee. You can walk up and around the tower, or for a few more $ you can take a lift up. Highly recommend.

  • 4/5 Matthijs K. 4 years ago on Google
If you have the courage and endurance to climb this 400 meter hill you will be rewarded. Stunning views and amazing flower gardens await you on this amazing climb. If you are not that athletic don't worry. The hill also features a railway to take you to the top.

  • 5/5 Katharina 1 year ago on Google

Pretty nice. To climb the tower you need to pay 220 czk, plus 150 czk if you want to use the elevator. It's a pretty nice view, but the price is a tad bit steep, considering there's always a bunch of people at the top.

  • 5/5 Anthony C. 4 years ago on Google
A good walk up or you can take the tram up. For drone users this is a perfect place because it is just outside the city parameters but you can get good aerial shots from here.

Good observation place. Beautiful park / garden and abundant place for hangout or to sit down and relax. Scenic trails to castle and other attractions. We didn't visit the mirror maze though. The exhibition in the basement has some interesting information. Note- there is a lift to take us to the top, but it costs extra.

Splendid park having multitude of alleys to walk and relax while sitting around, terrain shape is quite steep at some parts actually... Hill is topped with construction having some resemblance to Eiffel tower, vista platform located on the steeple offers sprawling views at the city of Prague. Worth to visit and pass some time there.

If you're not afraid of heights, this is the place for you. It has an excellent nature and is admirable for its view. There's also a cute coffee waiting for you on the hill when you reach the tower. In addition, it is possible to reach the park by cable car. It should also be visited strictly in winter, the pleasure of walking while it is snowing is quite different.

One of the must visit places in Prague to get beautiful view of Prague's skyline. Petrin Hill is a park with a lookout tower at the top of the hill. It takes a short hike to get to the top but the hike is worth it with idyllic paths all the way to the top. For me, best time to go is just before dusk, to catch the view of Prague slowly turning from day, orange hued dusk to the romantic deep blue night sky
