This adventure day trip was the highlight of our European vacation! We did a private day tour to Bohemian Switzerland National Park hiking the Pravcicka Gate and Bastei Bridge and had the best time. Marek was a superb guide!

Booking through Northern Hikes was seamless and the experience was wonderful. (I booked the easy hike) Martin was our tour guide and that man is a gem. He was super accommodating with our pace, took us around the most beautiful spots and even patiently took pictures. What an amazing time we had a few days ago with Northern Hikes, we went hiking to Saxon Switzerland National Park, (we chose to tour the Bohemian Switzerland National Park ) it felt very good to be in touch with nature and a good exercise as well. After hiking, we had an amazing lunch, at a local restaurant, food and drinks were delicious. We headed to Bastei, many things to learn, we had a wonderful time. What an amazing experience. Our tour guide was so professional and knew so much about the region. The start was an interesting climb to an amazing viewpoint. Afterwards we had a short drive with very good lunch. Then we went to Germany to see the Bastion bridge. I would surely recommend to travel with this company. We had a great tour with Northern Hikes. We did the long tour of Bohemian Saxon Switzerland from Prague. We were able to see some incredibly beautiful landscape, eat some tasty food, and meet some new people and it was super easy. The tour allowed us to not have to worry about planning or scheduling, nor about renting a car or parking. We simply walked out of the door of our Airbnb and were greeted and taken to our adventure only to be dropped back off at our door at the end of the experience. Our guide, Pavla, was very well informed, clearly passionate about the area and about hiking, and had plenty of energy to keep the group moving and interested even when they were getting very tired from the hiking. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience a beautiful part of the world but doesn't want to worry about the logistics.

This tour was awesome! It's absolutely worth the every penny. My guide Marek was super friendly and super knowledgeable. He gives you facts about Prague and the Czech Republic, plus facts about the nature that you walk through! One of the best experiences in our life! The Top 3 Highlights of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland. It all began when I first contacted Northern Hikes via the facebook page of them. From the first moment, they supported and answered to all our questions. They even gave us advice about how we could prepare ourselves for the hike! Vitek thank you for everything mate! One day before the hike, they sent us the last information needed, the weather forecast, the name and a photo of our guide and what clothing should we choose! The Big Day! Marek or guide arrived at exactly the time they had informed us, he offered us some snacks but from the first moment he made us feel comfortable and safe! For the whole hike offered us the best advice, took us a million photos and I knew that I had a person with me who cared about our security. Thank you for everything Marek, we really wish you the best! The hike was long, around 20km but the sand-based paths made it pretty easy for our bodies, don’t be afraid of it, the beauty of the place makes you feel like you are in the middle of a movie scene and elves will jump out of a tree! Magic! For the whole day we didn’t pay anything extra, Marek even paid the fee for the toilets needed in a hotel close to Bastei Bridge. Summing up, Northern Hikes offered us a quality tour, a lifetime experience and a day that we cannot find anything that went wrong. Professionalism and love for the natural beauty of their country! With my family went on the Pravcicka gate tour with guide Martin and liked it so much that also went on the Narnia labyrinth tour with guide Marek. Both tours were great, and both guides made the day very enjoyable. Northern Hikes clearly puts a lot of care into these tours.

I booked this trip last minute and had to make changes as my friend was not able to complete the hike. The team was super responsive, and the guide, Marek, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and funny. He truly showed an appreciation of the area and it made the trip so much better. Definitely one of the best tours I've booked.

top level tour. Very accommodating , understandable and a pleasant trip overall. We went during a foggy day unfortunately and hence the view was a bit disappointing, but the hike and overall the experience from the journey was great. We also did the bridge visit which was also very exceptional , informative and bit adventures exploring the castle (in time for sun set). . we will definitely come back for the winter hike.

My partner and I typically go on holidays involving some sort of hiking or physical activity component, and we desperately needed some time away from the large urban centres of Europe. We were so happy with our decision to go on an excursion with Northern Hikes. The day we went had amazing weather, and Martin, our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable. His passion for guiding was quite obvious. This excursion gave us the confidence to try other hikes in the region, the next time we return to the Czech Republic.

We loved using Northern Hikes for our tour to the National Parks while we were in Prague. Our guide Martin was fantastic. We really enjoyed learning so much about the Czech Republic from him. We also love the restaurant we ate lunch at on the day of the hike. It was so convenient being picked up and taken to the park and not having figure out how to get there. I have traveled with Northern Hikes twice now. Once in 2015 and again in 2022. I came back to Czech Republic primarily just to visit Bohemia again and to use this company. They are excellent communicators, honest in their approach to their work, great problem solvers, and passionate experts at their work. I loved both of my trips with them exploring this beautiful area. Prior to this most recent visit there had been a forest fire making the regular Top 3 area inaccessible. Northern Hikes offered me an alternative or a refund. I took the alternative and was not disappointed. Not any company could react and provide a high quality alternative so quickly. The lunch they took us to was also excellent.

I highly recommend this trip and Northern Hikes. Email confirmation was immediate, and the company responded quickly to emails. The guide picked us up at exactly the time stated. There were only six people total on the trip, so it was a very nice experience. You did not feel like a tour group. Lenka was very knowledgeable and friendly. She made sure to get us to the park early, so we could get photos of the Bastei Bridge before the crowds arrived. The scenery in the park was breathtaking. The food in the restaurant we stopped at for lunch was actually the best Czech food we had on our vacation, and we had done a food tour of Prague the day before. We ran into another guide and a group of three doing the advanced hike, and they also seemed to be enjoying their tour very much. This tour is listed as an easy hike, and I would agree that is accurate if you are in reasonably good shape. However, there are some stairs and steps that are uneven that could be challenging if you have bad knees. We had a great time, and I would do it again.

It's been over two weeks and I still have very pleasant memories from my visit to Bastei Bridge (Germany) and Tisa Rocks (Czechia) with Northern Hikes :-) The tour coordinator Eva was very helpful with all my queries and our guide Michal was very informative and fun! We were a group of six from all across the world which made the trip all the more interesting. An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish with Northern Hikes. They were very communicative of a change in the itinerary due to park closures and gave us the option to cancel (in advance) if we were not happy with the change. The whole day was amazing. We took the Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland National Park Day trip from Prague with Northern Hikes yesterday. The tour was purchased via Viator. It was the best of all trips booked for a 2 week long vacation. We had a 14 year old with us and a 10 yr old. They both enjoyed it so much. Our guide Lenka made sure to take care of us so well. This was a very small group consisting of two families including ours. I would HIGHLY recommend Northern Hikes to anyone who is considering a trip here. They were professional and made use feel so special from the beginning to the end. We had snacks and water waiting in the car and were treated to a very tasty Czeck feast at a local restaurant for lunch too. At the end of the trip Lenka gave us our family photos. This was such a kind surprise. Definitely 5+++ stars for our guide and the company!!

This day trip is a must. The memories and the beautiful sites that we saw were breathtaking. Our guide Lenka, made the day absolutely perfect. She was full of knowledge, such a fun personality and allowed all of us to gel as a group. Our group of 6 was from different countries; Singapore, UK, Malta and then my husband and I from the US. From the second Lenka picked us up at our hotel, we knew the day was going to be great. She provided plenty of snacks and water though out the day, but the lunch was the best food that we had while in Prague! Thank you Lenka for the get day ever!

I will started with why I chose Northern Hikes over its competitors. For this December hiking trips, I reached out to a few similar services in the region for a private costumed tour. They all offered the private tour services. However, the Northern Hikes stood out as they didn't show the eagerness to just take my business, instead, they detailed the the length of hike and stated how physical demanding it will be. They also points out to avoid the coward, I must visited the park before a certain date in December. This alone shows their professionalism already, and made me decided to go with them. In addition, their prices is very competitive against the other offers. Several days before the planned trip, they contacted me and offered me an option to make some adjustment on my itinerary because the heavy snow made some hiking trail much more difficult to access, but if I want to stick to the original plan, they will provide safety equipment. I chose to trust the guide and changed the plan, and looking back, I am glad I did. The night before my hike, they sent me the information and picture of my tour guide Marek, and he would picked me up where I live in Prague. I was offered some snake and water as the breakfast. Marek is very knowledgeable and we had lots of great conversation throughout the trip. During the hiking, he will often take a pause along the way, and points out something that will be overlooked had I travel alone myself. He is also very helpful and proactively helping me put on the spike on the shoes whenever we are about to enter a slippery area. The lunch we had was amazing, I had venison for lunch, very fitting when you are in the woods. The private tours allow you to visit more places in one day, and the price they quote includes everything, based on the service your received and the top quality lunch you are going to have, I will say it well worth the money, thus I highly recommend to book a private tour with Northern Hike.

Great experience overall. Our tour guide Marek was phenomenal and made the experience perfect (the hike simply wouldn’t have been as good without a local like Marek - knowledgeable, pushed nicely to take lots of pictures of everyone many times throughout the day, and kept us on time). Very fun - my group (2 girls) were with Marek and another couple from Spain, so the lunch conversations were super enjoyable and exhibited the true feeling of a melting pot (and the food was great at the restaurant). Thank you - it was amazing, and we will be back!

It was wonderful and good day trip out of Prague despite the rainy weather. Marek is a wonderful guide, friendly and helpful. We have a good time enjoying the beautiful scenery and the lunch was delicious and yummy especially the mulled wine and the recommended hot pear drink by Marek. That said, we do believe it was a bit overpriced and we were also expecting a more physically demanding hike by what was written in the description. They are exceptional tour operators.. not the usual ones who take you around in buses and make time bound snap stops. This is a free and easy tour with excellent tour guide. We took the winter tour for Narnia Labyrinth and Bastei rocks and both places were amazing - thanks to our guide Pavla.. she was friendly and helpful, carried mulled wine and tea for us to drink once in the snowy Narnia. Best. Decision. Ever. I wanted to see the beautiful landscape of Bohemian Switzerland, and from the minute I contacted Northern Hikes, I received prompt, friendly and professional responses. I did research about tours in the area and found that Northern Hikes was outstanding by far. I was not disappointed!! Our tour guide, Nicole, was very friendly and knew a lot about the local area. I was travelling alone, which is why I wanted to join a group like this to walk safely in the Czech wilderness. Our group had some very fast paced walkers and someone like me, who wanted to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere, so was not maintaining the cracking pace that others set. Nicole seemed to effortlessly find a balance between everyone's pace and needs, and we all enjoyed the trip immensely. The meal we had for lunch was delicious, and was the perfect re-fueling for the second part of the trip. I am vegetarian, and enjoyed the food very much. The boat ride through the gorge was simply magical. The ferryman was speaking in Czech, which Nicole kindly translated at appropriate points. The conversation was hilarious! Just when you thought the area couldn't get any more beautiful.. it really does. And the autumn leaves were stunning. I highly recommend this tour and tour company. I would like to Mention that I thoroughly enjoyed a day on one of you're Bohemian Saxon Switzerland tours when Staying in Prague along with one other Person on this Trip away, with time schedule, transport available to get you there and back to base again. The Tour Guide Vojta we had was one truly Amazing Person from start of our day right through to the end, who explained everything in depth about the History on the places we visited during the course of the day, and was a true Gentleman in every aspect in helping us when getting around different areas if there were any slight difficulties getting on and off the river boat or up and down steps which made the trip more easy for myself, others. Also the food package from the start of the day which was of good nutrition aimed at improving energy for the hiking tour along with water to quench you're thirst , and a visit to the Restaurant after the first hike around which was local produce and food dishes that were very tasty and we're included in the price of what we paid, which was a good gesture on behalf of Northern Hikes.

I have been on a few hikes with this company. All the staff is super knowledgeable and avid hikers. They gave me tons of information about other hikes in the Czech Republic that I could do on my own. For a first timer I highly recommend using there company as they pick you up from your hotel in Prague and everything is included with the price. Lunch, park entry fee and snack bag.

Outstanding experience and our favorite tour out of Prague(we did 5). Our guide Martina was exceptional. The views and natural setting were so beautiful. It is a full day. We did the 10 mile that while sounds long, it is spread out with breaks and lunch. I would say easy to moderate hike. I recall trying to gauge difficulty prior to booking and if this helps...I did a 5 mile walk on flat florida roads 2x a week for 3 weeks before and had no problem with this 10 mile hike. Highly recommend this trip!!! Lunch great!

We took the Bohemian Switzerland & Saxon Switzerland trip with Northern Hikes. Vojta was our guide who picked us from the hostel at the given time. He also offered few snack items that we could eat in the car (really thoughtful). We stopped at a location for refreshments & then went to Bohemian Switzerland. It is definitely one of the best national parks I've ever been to. The way Vojta explained the history, geography & importance of the national park was something that kept us inspired to hike. Saxon Switzerland is also very beautiful. The sunset we saw from there was memorable. Before the hike, the email sent by Northern Hikes was very helpful. They mention every little details that you need to take care of (clothes, water, shoes etc). Also, the place where we lunched was very quaint & homely!

We did The Narnia Labyrinth & Bastei day trip on our trip to Prague in February and it was an experience worth every euro spent. The guide with us was super informative and helpful. They provided snacks for the trip in the car and lunch in between at an amazing small town restaurant. The knowledge that they shared with us was so interesting and the love they have for their country and the national park shone through. I would recommend them every highly for anyone going to Prague.
