This is the only place I found in Europe where the waiters bring you the bill where they have handwritten the fact that the service is not included in the price and wrote 10% of entire bill should be added. We asked if it was compulsory and they replied affirmative! As far as I know, in my country and everywhere in Europe, tips are only goodwill gestures to be given to waiters for the good performance and for the sympathy. For sure, it is not an obligation. On top of that, they do not accept card-payment and they force you to withdraw or change the currency. Pay attention to this restaurant!

Was a little overwhelming with all the animals on the walls at first but in the end had a great time with some friends here..... The live music was wonderful, the menu (written in a multitude of languages) was vast with so much variety. The food was good, the drinks fantastic and the prices even better

Didn't like this restaurant. Staff were not nice and didn't seem happy in their jobs. Our waitress got orders wrong and mixed up drinks and rolled eyes and shook her head when we asked for what we ordered. Food wasn't good and was way overpriced. This place was my least favourite in Prague. Location is good though.

Food is really bad... the trout is smelly, the pork knuckle is dry and tasteless. An unpleasant experience. Price is a bit more expensive than average. Also, the waiter write the tips they want instead of asking your opinion.

Surprisingly this restaurant is a little under rated. Hidden underground amongst many other restaurants the food was amazing and as an extra bonus we had live music. On a warm/hot summers day/night this location is perfectly suited with its cool location. It serves typical Czech cousin that is well priced and good serving sizes. The waiter service was good as well which surprised after reading previous reviews. Our experience was warm and friendly.

The menue is not what is shown on post. Extremely limited with exotic entries..not for our party of five. Unfortunately we had to walk out. It would have been a nice experience for the atmosphere. Wish we had known on line. Felt that we were fooled.

We randomly walked by and decided to have some drinks at this bar. The Mojitos were on point and very tasty! We also had some Pizza and I gotta say that it was the best Pizza that I ever had outside of italy! I can definately recommend this place as almost everyone walks past it to get to common places in Prague!

AVOID!!! We got stung 315 czk for 2 mulled wine. We didn't think too much after a long a day out and i only read the reviews after ordering. Prices are not advertised. Not sure why it's listed as closed but it's definitely open and is a tourist trap. AVOID!

Do not take mulled wine there. I do not recommend this restaurant. We got mulled wine and it was terrible. The wine tasted disgusting and was overheated. It means that alcohol has evaporated accordingly and the drink has dark color. I know what I'm talking about, I’m used to work with wine. They refused to give us money back. One of the workers said that they had sold over a hundred glasses today. I can’t imagine what they have at the kitchen with a such attitude. The calculation is for unknowing tourists. Don't get fooled!! We left drinks and bought good mulled wine in the square.

This place was amazing. My first day in Prague it was raining and this restaurant was the perfect place for warm food and environment. The live band was amazing and the decor felt out of a movie. The smoked camembert and pork knee were delicious and the beer was smooth. Service was absolutely amazing with the man being so attentive to our table. Will definitely recommend.

Good place if you're into meat. Medieval dungeon-like atmosphere, long banquet table, stone walls and multiple alcoves. Menu in 10 languages, friendly staff.

Very poor and disappointing after all our other choices whilst here in Prague. Service was polite but very haphazard. My meal was okay but my wife's salmon salad was drenched in dressing that ruined it and right at the end we found out was cash only with no obvious signs. You can be spoilt for choice in Prague and so I cannot recommend this ever

Bad service poor food. They try to make you pay cash because the credit card machine is broken. It a load of nonsense the credit card machine works fine. However, if you insist that you are not paying cash they will bring it. I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS there are far better places in Prague.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Beer is also outstanding. Staff is extremely friendly and the prices are reasonable. The only problem was that they didn't take cards and NOBODY told us that before we started ordering. It's a little bit disappointing because when you have in your stomach a litre of beer and lots of food you don't want to go up and down the stairs to get the money from ATM. Otherwise the experience was great. I'd definitely come again.

We fell in love with Konvice and Prague! I travel with my wife a lot and we will go back again. The food was delicious. The live band was spectacular. They made our stay unforgettable.

Went here for drinks and light food. Great atmosphere in a cellar right off of the main square with slightly campy furnishings. Expensive, but reasonable for the location. We had 2 1-liter beers, 2 half liter beers, and a bread and cheese platter for about 800 crowns. The downsides were that it filled up with what seemed like a Chinese tourbus of a crowd who made a lot of noise, and also that there were people going around and taking pictures, then trying to sell the pictures back to you. Slightly annoying, but still a good place if you're looking for something on the square that feels like an old Czech bar and don't mind paying a little for location.

A cool and central place to have some good food. To be frank, it is difficult to find something vegetarian, but the Piroggen were good and tasty and the service was really nice. Also I loved the Radler 🍻for an okay price. Just you need to know that it seems that every evening big tourist groups come here. We had dinner around 18ish and the restaurant was empty. According to others, it gets super crowded later in the evening.

Avoid! Beers are so expensive compared to everywhere else in the town. Not worth it.

I remember going to this restaurant during the month of August. The weather on that day was perfect and the atmosphere felt like it was from a fairytale. I sat there and people watched for as long as I could, taking in the environment knowing it may be my only time there. I ordered the lasagna, and my mother had the goulash. The staff was snappy and slow to wait on us. Overall it provided a stupendous view of the clock tower and old town square, however the food was over priced and stood as a tourist trap.
