The Spanish synagogue in Prague is stunning, both for its interior architecture & symmetry, and also for the copious historical documents on display. It takes around 2 hours to get around and view all the items. It's in the Jewish quarter and easy to locate. After visiting the synagogue, have a kosher meal at King Solomon's, a restaurant nearby. Just outside the synagogue, there's a statue of Prague's famous son, Franz Kafka.

(Translated by Google) The youngest, of the six Prague synagogues, arose in the 2nd half of the 19th century, according to the project Vojtech Ignaz Ullmann and Josef Niklas, named after their architectural style (neo-Moorish style dominated Spain and was demanded at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries). I went through a lot I've seen a lot and so interesting ... Exotic look, multicolored stained glass windows, rich interior, sparkling with gold, beautiful acoustics (regularly pass concerts of classical music), symbolic sculpture by Franz Kafka is a "solid set" for visits ...

You can't buy tickets only to this place, instead they force you to buy an expensive combo ticket to other boring places that includes also this one (which is the only one with some interest). Doesn't worth it and a total waste of time

Part of the Jewish Museum of Prague, this is a beautiful building which takes its name from the Moorish decoration inside. It was built in the 1860s on the site of the Old School synagogue, which had likely been the oldest in the city. Left to decline during the Communist period, the synagogue was repaired in the 1990s and reopened in 1998 after a major restoration.

The Španělská synagoga is truly an architectural masterpiece. Its intricate details, vibrant colors, and stunning interior make it a true gem in Prague. The synagogue's rich history and cultural significance add to its allure. A visit to this magnificent place is a must for anyone interested in Jewish heritage and architectural beauty. 👍

Incredibly beautiful synagogue which also showcases the history of Judaism in Hungary in the last 100 years. Would definitely recommend visiting. We purchased a ticket that included many local synagogues in the area which can be purchased directly here.

AMAZING !!!! We enjoyed much taking the synagogue museums ticket that combines the best synagogues that Prague has to offer. The Spanish synagogue is the most amazing synagogue I ever seen in my life and around the world. Don't miss it.

Probably the most beautiful synagogue you will ever see. Highly decorate and comes with information about the hardships the Jewish people have gone through. You can not buy an individual ticket, only a package to see most of the nearby Jewish synagogues and the old cemetery. It was all worth it.

The Spanish Synagogue is incredible & has the most beautiful interior of any synagogue in Prague. Don't confuse this with the Jerusalem Synagogue, which is also very beautiful inside & has a fantastic exterior as well. You may buy tickets at the door, but the best value is to buy a combo ticket, which gives you entrance to four or five synagogues and is valid over several days. There is also a very interesting exhibition of recent Jewish history in the Czech Republic inside. If you are taking pictures inside, be aware that tripods aren't allowed. Go early or on weekdays to avoid the masses. These pictures available on Picfair. com under my name.

Got a ticket with the tourguide (an app) on my phone. Multi-languages available. Indeed it helped me massively in understanding the history in the past, the story behind, what this building/objective represents. With the app I felt like indeed I slowed down my pace in feeling these attractions because I was listening carefully, rather than simply come and go. This is a small but interesting place. The vibe it gives looks completely different from others and it is a place that worthy a bit of time to explore!

In my opinion, this is part of Prague and its history. It is a beautiful synagogue with a lot of information about history, connected families, as well as historic artifacts. We bought the ticket to see several museums in the Jewish Quarters and started here. For history interested people, a must see.

(Translated by Google) A pity that is under renovation, and cannot be visited, it is very worthwhile and its interesting history, knowing why it is Spanish, seeing in one of the faces of the synagogue the clear differences that belong to the architectural styles and references to the three religions (Christian, Islam and Judaism). One of the tourist attractions you should see if you are in Prague. Separate entrance, that is, is not included with the entrance of the Jewish museum.

The Spanish Synagogue is the newest synagogue in the area of the so-called Jewish Town, yet paradoxically, it was built at the place of the presumably oldest synagogue, Old School. The synagogue is built in Moorish Revival Style.

Needed to pay for a full entrance (includes 5 or 6 places) in order to enter the Spanish Synagogue. The entry was easy and fast with no queues. The way we went had stairs. The inside was really interesting and "crowded" with patterns on every wall. I highly recommend going at least once to appreciate the patterns and lighting/shades.

There's a good exhebit going on here but for me the main atraction is the building itself! Every tiny bit is covered by an intricate decorative pattern it's just marvalous!! Might be the prettiest interior in Prague, definitely the prettiest in my opiniin from what I have seen!

This is a stunningly beautiful synagogue with excellent audio visual material illustrating the diversity of life of the Jewish community in Bohemia and particularly during the 1930s and 1940s. There is such a wealth of material that you will need some hours to work your way through the museum. Deeply moving.

Don't go to this place. They scam you by forcing you to buy a combo ticket to also visit some other places you probably won't care about. Better go to the Jerusalem synagogue, it is prettier and doesn't force you to buy a combo ticket.

Beautiful synagogue with ample of details and plentiful of information. One is guaranteed to comprehend the cultural influence and importance of Jewish minority to the culture and life itself in the old Bohemian and Moravian regions. The exhibition also demonstrates the tragedy of the Second World War, both the human tragedy and cultural one. The building itself is impressive and definitely worth seeing. Not to mention the the impressive artifacts and detailed information regarding the cultural life.

Elegant building in the jewish part of town. We admired it's architecture for a couple of minutes. It seemed a bit hidden and out of place behind the church and the Kafka monument but that makes the pleasure of finding and watching it greater. You can spend a couple of hours touring the area, we lucked out and visited during a holliday, all the synagogues and the old cemetery were closed

Spanish Synagogue was where we started our 3 hour self-guided tour of the Jewish Quarter, with admission purchased here. The English audio guide was helpful, but came with extra charge. The tour overall was very informational for a glimp of the history of the Jewish life in this region. Specifically, the setting in Spanish Synagoue was very unique, spriritual and inspiring. Definetly must-see place while in Prague for a couple of days.

(Translated by Google) It's 2016, so it's been four years ago, but I visited here. Spring in Prague is good for concerts. Check only for the period, and then check the program locally! It wasn't too wide and the music was easy to listen to, and the arabesque pattern was also nice. I was worried if I could use a wheelchair, but I managed to get in because there was a lift. To my surprise, a woman who lives in Plzen spoke in Japanese! I can meet Czech people who can speak Japanese! And I am very good at Japanese! It was a short time, but it is a very good memory to be able to talk. Czechs are also enjoying Prague during this time. I've been to Prague twice, but I want to go again when I'm calm. Beautiful, and heart wrenching, this tells the story of the people that came, the people that left, the people that stayed, and the people who had that decision taken from them. Would highly recommend the full museum pass to all 7 locations. What an important part of Jewish history is preserved here extremely well. This synagogue is absolutely beautiful and a great first place to start.

Wonderful place of tremendous beautiful architecture. It is one site of the Jewish museum of Prague. Here many pieces of Jewish culture in Prague, the first deportations by the Nazis, and the discrimination after WWII are demonstrated and explained. A very incredible place. Worth a visit.

Don't go with babies! We purchased the combined ticket for accessing 6 sites (more than 17€!). At first we were denied to use the elevator at the entrance because it is only for wheelchairs. So we took our heavy stroller down the stairs by hand. After visiting the room at the ground floor we needed to go upstairs. We wanted to leave the empty stroller at the ground floor but they told us that this was not allowed. So we asked to use the elevator: not allowed. At this point we asked for a ticket refound. We had to go to the main office (two blocks away) and go back again to the Spanish Sinagogue and finally we had our money back and we went away. Very bad experience! Babies are not welcome there!

Got the synagogue pass without guide. Spanish synagogue is the most beautiful of all. The museum provides a lot of history with audio testimonials and real life stories from around the victims. Very moving; must visit

Marvellous interior, probably the most beautiful synagogues in Prague, so don't miss it because it is a little further from other objects in Jewish quarter.

For me this synagogue was the most beautiful one. It also had nice explanations about the history of Jewish people of Czech before, during and after WWII, which was very informative and nice to know.

Wonderful place! But today, at 14:00h the younger girl in the front desk was very rude. Im not native english speaker. So she start to speak very fast and try to charge me 1160ckz. I respectfully ask why is not 800ckz (we are 2). And shout "You will dont understand anything if you dont buy the audioguide!!" So I decide to buy only 1 (and share it) She really seemed very upset. After the purchase, I went to the older girl, and she was very very nice. She explain to me how to install the app with so many patiencie and what was included in the ticket. I will formally complain

Went here on New Year’s Eve to see a concert. It was a string sextet with a tenor. They played songs and instrumentals - Ravel, Orff, Piazzola and some traditional Jewish songs- it was amazing and soulful. The building is in beautiful condition and has a treasure trove of history. Stunning. A definite must see.
