A beautiful museum with so much to see around. The best part is that you get a ticket which can be used around 7 other museum at no additional cost. The collection of rare materials found in the region is interesting for people who like to know more about precious metals.

Quite a busy place with all the cars running around and the restaurant in the middle. A bit confusing during daylight, I liked it more at night as it's quiet and the National museum lights are very attractive. The pedestrian part of it is good but it was quite chaotic when I visited at least.

Wenceslas Square is lovely around Christmas where there’s a less crowded and more enjoyable Christmas market (though Wikipedia says this is the place with “the busiest pedestrian traffic in the whole country”) and other activities on the boulevard. Also the place to get a great photo of the Czech National Museum and a few other notable historical buildings like the Koruna Palace, as well as the Statue of Wenceslas.

My hotel was based in the Square. A really central location for shops, restaurants & other sightseeing. The National Museum is just opposite the Square. A really interesting area. 👍😁

Still can’t believe that ugly Dancing house in Prague has more reviews and better grade than this breathtakingly beautiful building. I was there during public holiday, so it was closed. However I enjoyed in the view. Perfect sight to be hold and a must visit spot in Prague. I will come here for sure.

Amazing place full with history and old buildings. Wenceslao Square represents the new city center of Prague in Czech Republic and you can see the National Museum at the end of it. It is beatifull to walk around it, full with restaurants, bars, clubs and play stores to spend a nice time in the city. We also made a tour with virtual reality, where we could learn, not just about the history but also relive it. We were there with our guide and when we used the VR headsets, we travel back time to see how was the Spring of Prague in 1968, it was a great experience!

Lovely place to walk at night, the Easter markets are fantastic, selling chimney cakes and other good food. The view of the national museum is also worth seeing, and great for photos.

One of the busiest places in Prague for me but very stunning with a view of the National museum at the top of the square. Plenty of nice restaurants and we also visited vytopna railway restaurant and this for me was so fun and unique.

Fairly crowded during the noon. I went there at the end of Dec '23 for a holiday. It was such a waste I couldn't visit the national museum. If you have spare time, just visit it. The statue itself is a landmark of Praga (my fellow student said that) so at least, take photos before you leave Checzh like I did.

A beautiful, historic square right in the heart of Prague. Loads of shops around too! Do visit the Christmas market if you're around in December, there's loads of food and gift stalls.

Wenceslas Square in Prague is a historic and bustling area. Lined with shops, restaurants, and cultural sites, it's a vibrant hub in the heart of the city. The square has witnessed key moments in Czech history and is surrounded by architectural gems, making it a central and lively destination for locals and visitors alike.

Very happening city of Prague .A street with all the branded outlets for shopping , restaurants, and pubs on either side with lots of live music. As it was Christmas time we have visited the street was well decorated with Christmas lights and a Christmas Market at the center grabbed attention of public.

Amazing large public square, dedicated to the first ruler of the Czech people! Since it's establishment, it has been a place for significant historic events! All over the square are placed benches with witty and wise proverbs and aphorisms! Highly recommended!

This is one of the great places from all the cities of our planet. I immediately fell in love with this fabulous city and this place. Despite the fact that it is always crowded here, you will feel comfortable, pleasant and it will be difficult to leave it in the next hour.

Great city centre. Lots of food and drink options. Fun local characters and street performers. You could spend a decent part of a day here. They speak Russian, German, Czech and English well. Tones of restaurants and street food vendors.

Very touristic place which lost it's charm. Loud and crowdy, so think twice before staying in hotels right next to it. Has some places where you can grab food to go - McDonald's, Paul, food market. National museum at the end of square. Other than that, not much to see.

Museum and the square are a piece of art. Amazing picturesque view. Be aware of theft and one may get mugged if you are at the square late night. Overall you have to very alert because there are some shady stores and locals. But the city is very welcoming and loads of place to eat. All cuisines.. I was so happy given the face that I love to treat meself with a good wood fired pizza

A "must visit" place in Prague! Very week organized and safe. A lot of options and transports available. I honestly suggest to go during some special holidays, like Christmas. There is a very special market in this part of town during this part of the year. Also, try trdelník, which is a local delicacy. Might be served with chantilly cream and/or Nutella.

(Translated by Google) This square, which is actually a street, has always fascinated me, unfortunately there is not so much left of the K and K charm, except for the historical buildings and the monument to King Wenceslas. Now casinos, Chinese and American fast food chains and souvenir shops that nobody needs dominate the picture and at the confluence "Zum Graben / Na Přikopě" in the evening African drug sellers. If you have the time, you should take a look at the inside of the main post office (Jindřišska 909). It is right on Wenceslas Square in a side street.

Hi visited this museum to see the Tutankhamen Exhibition. Which was good. It had some artifacts and mummy's displayed. Then it went into two virtual experiences to watch. Which was amazing and very well put together. The whole experience was about an hour and a half at the most. The rest of the museum is an impressive building as you can see from the pictures but I didn't think much of the exhibits. But believe they change. Although for all it costs it's not bad at all. As to enter all the museum's in Prague it only costs 200kr which is about £7 and to watch the Tutankhamen Exhibition was only another £4 so not bad really. They also have a cloak room for free and a good cafe. It worth a visit as not expensive and the building is very impressive. If you found this review and pictures benificial please like.

I decided to give it a try, as I remember they have interesting exposition of various animals and their skeletons . However this part isn’t accessible so far, which was disappointing. Other exhibitions are also interesting but nothing compare to the one I was talking about. The only skeleton available to see was the whale. The stuff is friendly and willing to give you guidance and instructions. What’s definitively worth to visit is the exhibition “Kings of the sun” which you have to pay extra. During the weekends is overcrowded and waiting time is long, at least 2 or more hours.

The center and must go place in Prague. Everything happens here. Crowded but not too noisy. A lot of shops and restaurants mostly are more expensive but it's acceptable. There are many passages around with interesting hidden local shops to be discovered too. Our favorite meeting point is under the horse.

  • 5/5 Mirage C. 1 year ago on Google
Longest square in Europe is always interesting to visit. Especially I can recommend recently renowned National museum, memorial of Jan Palach who burned himself in protest about sovietic/Russian occupation in 1968, statue of Saint Wenceslas and Lucerna palace with it's interior and rooftop. In passage Světozor you can find cheap place for lunch named Peklo.

The wild west, there are many people at all times of the day and night. Amazing shops, take walking shoes and mind the expensive corner shops.

  • 5/5 Joe N. 1 year ago on Google
Wenceslas square was very pretty and well maintained with lots of great shops and restaurants. We walked it's length many times and always found different things to do including a great railway themed restaurant that was a lot of fun!

  • 4/5 Ishan K. 1 year ago on Google
Its a tourist friendly area and people are helpful what I find to be honest but the negative point is public toilet isn’t working and its minimal so you should take help from the restaurants.I think government should be concern about this. Thank You.

Beautiful street. One of the famous tourist destinations in Praha. Situated near to Narodni Muzeum which is an another place where you shouldn’t miss visiting. The place is always so lively and and always active irrespective of day and night.

A good place to chill out. There are arrays of benches to sit on. Especially in summer under the sun light. During the daytime it is a bit crowded and sometimes you can't get a free bench. There is also a wonderful museum which is worth going. Overall I loved this place and highly recommend it.

The best place to spend some time in Prague, plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. Nicely designed and most importantly no traffic.

A really cool place to hangout! It has good shopping stores, food outlets and the view is amazing of the Museum!! Just sat for a while at one of the benches and saw a good idea to write down some good words on it!! Can visit and walk around the area!!

The place is wonderful and beautiful, there are various restaurants to sit down or to order takeaway food and places to drink juice or coffee. Places remain open for a long time and there are shops 24/24 hours. The experience was wonderful

It’s very happening place in front of the museum. Lots of shops and restaurants. Summer is the best time to see lots of activity. Day or night you can always be there. Place to sit and watch people if you are tired of walking.

Huge square with plenty of activities, shops, restaurants and other tourist attractions like National Museum. Great for an afternoon walk.

  • 4/5 Marie E. 7 months ago on Google
Very busy square, much busier than I expected, but a good vibe. Lots of places to eat and drink, but this is a tourist area so will be much more expensive. Primark, Marks and Spencers, H & M, Newyorker, plus many many more shops and prices are very reasonable. Palace of books is a must see on the square covering 4 floors. Hotel Jalta on the square is absolutely excellent, love it, plus many more hotels. You will see some vulnerable people on the square who looked to have nothing and homeless, however you won't be approached at all. The square can be very busy with traffic. Metro stops at both ends of square and regular tram stops. Easy walking distance of all attractions and amenities. Enjoy!

The square's central location makes it easily accessible and serves as a hub for various activities. Its wide boulevard, lined with shops, restaurants, and historical buildings, creates a dynamic and energetic atmosphere. The historical significance of Wenceslas Square adds an extra layer of charm. As the site of many key events in Prague's history, it carries a sense of importance and cultural heritage. The prominent statue of Saint Wenceslas, the patron saint of Bohemia, serves as a focal point and a symbol of national pride. Exploring the square, I was delighted by the diverse range of offerings, from trendy boutiques to traditional Czech eateries.

Wenceslas Square is one of the main city squares and the centre of the business and cultural communities in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. Many historical events occurred there, and it is a traditional setting for demonstrations, celebrations, and other public gatherings. The best spot, to see the whole area of the square is just on the top side from the National museum stairs. You can admire the architecture changes throughout the years from the oldest buildings to the latest modern sites. While it is the most crowded place in the Czech republic I recommend to be aware of your belongings and careful about pickpockets.

  • 4/5 Chandra Kanth R. 8 months ago on Google
The square definitely holds a charm with its beauty especially at nights, but its beauty is somewhat dampened by the significant crowds that gather here.

  • 5/5 Ski H. 8 months ago on Google
