The construction of the New Town Hall began shortly after the founding of Prague’s New Town in 1348. 1456 saw the completion of the Town Hall’s tower. The tower is 42 meters high, 221 steps lead up to the tower gallery. It is opened daily except Mondays, from 10 am to 6 pm. It’s also closed during winter season. It’s not very popular among tourists and not as crowded as for example the Orloj tower, but you still get to enjoy the beautiful views at Prague.

Great place to visit for a cheap entrance (only cash), you have some good but not great views and a bit of a lesson in history Place is the first where ruling class folk were thrown out a window by those who didn't like them (google defenestrations of Prague)

(Translated by Google) Beautiful view from the tower, you can see the great surroundings including Prague Castle. Beautiful view of Charles Square. The few steps are really worth it and the period toilet is also funny, which can be seen on the way up.

(Translated by Google) Seen a lot in her life, one of the oldest in Prague, New Town Hall. Started it erect in 1348 and only in 1451 - it acquired its final form. There was even prison and court ... And now conferences, exhibitions, concerts and even weddings take place here ... One of the oldest symbols of Prague, in 1962, was included in the list national cultural monuments of the Czech Republic.

The place of the First Defenestration of Prague A large and imposing tower looming over the New Town Hall. The hall itself is mostly closed to the public except on certain occasions, but one can climb the tower and see great views over the city. The current building itself is slightly later than the Hussite era, but at the beginning of the Hussite era, the first of the defenestrations took place at this site, making it a pivotal point in the history of the Czech lands and all of Central Europe.

Lovely building (with a "hospoda" or whatever in the courtyard). Especially nice when there is a concert in the main hall upstairs. Nice Hall (nice architecture & good acoustics). Twice a year (in the Spring and during the Fall), in the courtyard and in the hall on the ground floor there's a one-day long "fine food festival". The wines and cannoli from Sicily are especially nice.

(Translated by Google) The New Town Hall, built in the Gothic style in the second half of the 14th and 15th centuries, was a center of administration of the New Town of Prague, founded in 1348 by Charles IV. The town hall entered history as a place where the Hussite wars began. Right here July 30, 1419 tkz. Pražské defenestraci. The town hall was rebuilt in the 16th century in the Renaissance style, in the early 19th century in the Empire style and in 1905 in the Neo-Renaissance style. It dominates Charles Square, the largest square in the Czech Republic. Radnice vstoupila do dějin jako místo, kde defakto začaly husitské války. Právě tady došlo 30.července 1419 k tkz. Pražské defenestraci. Radnice byla v 16.století přestavěna renesančně, začátkem 19.století empírově a v roce 1905 novorenesančně. Tvoří dominantu Karlova náměstí, největšího náměstí v České republice .

It’s a very important historical site But not much maintaining basically only has one function as a view tower Watch out of those wood stairs they are really old and I feel there’s a high possibility that someone might fall from the stairs Wish it could have a better use or better exhibits function

(Translated by Google) It is worth visiting, cheap entry to a nice view. In the tower there is a gym Palestry and a period toilet. It is true that the staircase is a bit steep - be careful, but on the other hand, I like its authenticity.

Highly recommend to visit Nieviditelna Vystava in this location. Unforgettable experience. If you do not know, how to change the way you perceive your life and yourself just go there, spend one hour and be ready to be happy. Amazing place, amazing people, amazing guides. For one hour you become 'blind' in completely dark space and your only guide is a voice of originally blind person. To say that I liked it means to say nothing. It was crazy,it was amazing, the best emotions in my life during the last 6 months.

Not as busy as the Old Town Hall. You can take your time going up on your own and stop at different floors to see some art and some panels on the history of a Prague. There is a balcony that goes around at the very top of the tower with gorgeous views. Very much worth it for 60 CZK, if you can handle all the stairs.

I visited the "Invisible exhibition". Highly recommended. The guide was super friendly and helpful. It was brand new experience for me to be in such a dark space. I really enjoyed. It shows the daily life of the people with sight problems, You will not know until You try... No pics taken :D

Cute view from the top, 360 degree around the city. The time we went there was an art exhibition up the stairs as well so the 60 czk was totally worth it. Additionally you can get some free historical information at the reception downstairs which makes it even more interesting.

Not too many people compared to old town hall, however, you would need to climb close to 8 storeys high to reach the top. The only thing to see is the bird eyes view but other wise nothing much to see. Not recommended

(Translated by Google) There are about a million cafes in Prague :-) Enough about the choice depends on the environment. This one suits me, because you can find the place according to the current mood. Inside or outside, on wood or even further in the stone courtyard. It's a really romantic separation. Two twins located at the beginning of the trip to the toilet will choose special characters. He put a few pianos (locked) around the corner, which is a dada. Coffee and a few types of desserts are definitely above average, as well as beers, especially one from a private brewery. The place itself has a very strong charge of the genius loci. A short passage to the courtyard and the dominant cafe. I don't know if right here, but if you add the historical fact in the form of falling councilors from the windows of the town hall, which is not completely kosher, it is still an interesting place. Not to forget, the staff is made up of young people, mostly girls. The popularity is also evidenced by the fact that when the time is right, it is difficult to find "your" place. Good luck! To už opravdu romantická separace. Kofeinu zdar!

(Translated by Google) Be sure to visit the tower. The climb costs only 60 crowns, you have a fantastic view of the city and you are guaranteed to be alone. A clean toilet is included. Everyone climbs the tower of the Old Town Hall, which is much more expensive and not nearly as exclusive. You will also get to know Karlsplatz in the new town ...

(Translated by Google) Of ancient in this tower only the upper part remains, still with wooden steps and where an ancient bell is preserved. The panorama from above is beautiful, but in my opinion it is not among the best, such as the one that can be admired from the Old Town bridge tower or from the Petrin tower.

Fine building with decent maintenance. Never mind the view from the tower- this site has historical value. The first defenestration in 1419 happened here during the last days of king Wenceslaus IV,which was a preludium to Hussite Wars.
