Gothic church from the 14th century, visible from afar due to its location above Albertov and Podskalí. Thanks to the restoration of the entire temple at the end of the 19th century, Gothic wall paintings were preserved inside. Unfortunately, a free tour is not possible.

The beautiful Gothic Roman Catholic parish church in Apolinářská Street was founded by Charles IV. The construction of the church took place in two stages. During the first stage, approximately between 1360–1376, a longitudinal main nave with five vaulting fields was built. A few years later the construction of the tower on the south side of the church also started. During the second stage of construction, the presbytery was completed. Completion of the whole building dates back to 1390. In 1670 the building was damaged by a storm, therefore a year later followed by reconstruction, during which the church was partially redone in Baroque form. The second wave of reconstruction was related to the occupation of the church by the Prussian army in 1757. In the 19th century, static cracks appeared on the church, so it was decided that the church would be repaired again and regotized. The reconstruction was undertaken by architect Josef Mocker.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful Gothic Church with Baroque inserts, which houses a Catholic Christian community served by the Missionary Fraternity of San Carlo Borromeo, in a quiet and beautiful district of Prague, outside the normal tourist circuits but worth a visit! (Translated by Google) One of the oldest shrines in Prague from the time of Charles IV. Though the temple was powerfully rebuilt by Mocker at the end of xix. century, has preserved many of its glorious past. The temple is bright and spacious, with several valuable monuments, but the most valuable is a lively community of young people and families Communione and Liberazione led by two nice young priests. I love visiting the church. It is a beautiful piece of old Prague. In addition, adoration every Thursday evening. The church is definitely worth a visit, but outside the mass. not open.

This Catholic church was founded in 1362 by the Father of the Fatherland, Karl lV. It is a one-nave Gothic building standing on the site of the chapel of St. Giljí, which had to be demolished because of it. Around the year 1419, the canon of the church, Petr from Kroměříž, joined the side of the Hussites, and perhaps that is why the church was spared during the Hussites. A very nice church building. Too bad I didn't have time to look inside.

Originally a Gothic church in a quiet part of the city on Apolinařska street, from here it is within walking distance to Vyšehrad or to the botanical garden of the University of Warsaw. Definitely worth seeing.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful church that dominates the Albertov slopes. It is sensitively lit and in the evening simply beautiful. There is also a nice view. Nearby is also possible sitting, I recommend a visit.
