I adore people which keep this running. Oldest non-sectarian buddhistic centre in Czech republic I think.

An oasis for establishing inner peace in the middle of Prague. Anyone who wants to have a nice environment for Dhamma (Dharma) practice should come here (see the schedule of events on the center's website). It is also possible to obtain printed publications for a voluntary contribution.

No for only English speaker. Nice place but not so nice experience. My girlfriend (Czech) booked a full day meditation journey asking if was run also in English and the instructor replied "yes, Wil be half in Czech and half in English". However the first "bad " sign was the email sent prior to the arrival fully in Czech and , once arrived to che center and start the first meditation , one person said that was disturb by the double explanation in Czech and English. The instructor tried even to ask my girlfriend if she could translate for me and overall the explanation where 70% in Czech and 20% in English .we left after the first part of the day and honestly we will not come back. Do not advertise that the course will be also in English and be honest with possibile customers . Namaste !

Přijde gumový panák michelin do albánie a dostane gumovou pannu. Máš na cigáro? řekne mu albánka. Koupíš mi za cigáro večeři, řekla když ji dostala. Království za albánii, řekla po večeři. Království za koně, řekne panák.

A relevant commentary for women - you’ll soon notice there are a few women attending the meditations - be CAREFUL and watch out, esp. for a few older male members. In my experience, most visitors are decent and don’t test your boundaries with jokes or questions though. Atheism-friendly, you can skip the discussions after the meditations and everyone seems ok with it. Probably not so English-friendly. TLDR: The concern is probably irrelevant if you’re a guy.
