We had a great evening at Bockem, which is located outside the Old Town and feels much more local than so many of the restaurants in town. Restaurant was a bit less than full and we were given a nice table where we could see the kitchen, but far away enough to not be disturbed. The evening started with a craft cocktail explained in detail. Don't ask me to recall the details, but I can say that it was both unique and delicious. My wife went with a more standard glass of bubbles. After having time to peruse the set menu we made our choice for number of courses and opted for the wine pairings. I can sum up the food by saying that each dish was superbly prepared, beautiful to look at, and each tasted excellent. Wine pairings were well thought out and represented both Czech wines as well as some International offerings. Explanation of both food and wine was detailed and enthusiastic. Questions were welcomed and led to nice brief conversations that provided insight into the staff, background, and future of this lovely restaurant. Prices were fair for the quality and selection. Highly recommend an evening at Bockem when in Prague.

Very nicely set menu; the service is really great & friendly! If you want to experience some traditional Czech dishes with modern twist, this is the right place. Dill sauce „koprovka“ might be a challenge for somebody but it is worth to try. „Míša” cake is top at the end!

Friendly and relaxed place with great food and czech wine pairings. The fresh asparagus was amazing. Was well worth the visit, it was a highlight of our trip to Prague. It's small, so I'd advise booking in advance. Contrary to what was said here, you can pay by card for dinner.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Bockem - a restaurant a bit outside the busy part that we found on the Michelin Guide. If you're looking for exposed brick, earthy decor, and a smaller, cozy spot for dinner, this is the place. For dinner, the only choice you have to really make is what to drink before, during, and after dinner. We started with a few aperitifs, went with the wine pairing, and ended the night with their homemade gin and tonic. Since we don't drink coffee ☕️,  this was a great way to feel refreshed before walking home. Enough about drinks, let's get to the food! Bockem offers a 5 course dinner ranging from fish, veggies, meats, and ending with chocolate. Each course was even better than the next. I'll include a pic of the menu along with each course 😋. Aside from food, the staff were amazing. A more chilled atmosphere, but still very classy. It felt like someone mashed a Michelin star restaurant with a home cooking restaurant. All the warmth from the staff, but the high quality, unique flavors of a fancy restaurant.

Excellent restaurant, we had a great special experience! The crew were extremely nice and helpful, including the main chef himself. The dishes are delicious, all served with a careful attention to details, very esthetic and very tasty. I would say its a fusion kitchen serving modern adaptations to Traditional Czech cuisine. Furthermore, we arrived with children, and the crew were very patient and greeting which is not obvious.

It's a great place for breakfast/brunch experience. The staff is friendly and seems to be loving what they are doing. The food is great, the only reason I don't score the place for 5 is that although the courses we took were really good they lack something special in taste. Like entree was asparagus with salmon, some sauce and crumbs and asparagus in that case could have been more savoury. Same for the rest, like the food is slightly missing something to be 5 star but again, it is very good as it is. Almost forgot - definitely try homemade lemonades, those taste a bit like kombucha!

Super location a bit outside of the "touristy Prague". Amazing food with great wine pairing. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were super good. (only a bit strange that the price of the vegetarian menu is exactly the same even though some of the more expensive ingredients are obviously left out) The service was superb and interior was super cosy and intimate

Doesn’t worse the visit at least for breakfast. Was really disappointed by their drinks price policy and coffee quality(actually there is no prices in menu ) So if you want try soufflé eggs its better to go to “ kavarna co hleda jmeno” you will get the same dish but you can order 100x better coffee.

Can’t say enough good things about this experience. We did the breakfast menu. The veal tartare was dreamy, and the soup was a cloudy delight. Definitely go for the combo of Benedict / Florentine, I didn’t know spinach could taste so good. Couldn’t pick a favourite between the desserts. The techniques and flavours were incredible, but the service equally matched; super personable, well paced and a real pleasure. The dining room was gorgeous, so well put together. Would (and probably have elsewhere) pay twice the price for the experience again

An amazing way to celebrate the final night of our honeymoon, beautiful food and wine pairings with very attentive staff. Both of us enjoyed the tasting menu and accompanying wine flight, and would love to return to eat again. Really special evening had.

Had some brunch at the place. Food was decent and unique but not amazing for the price we had to pay. Service was really good.

My friend and I went for a brunch based on a recommendation. The food was good, but nothing spectacular for the price. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't seem to like us. The service at the tables next to us was perfect, but we were ignored. I had to ask for water, and they poured it into a glass that had previously held a different drink, without even bothering to replace it. Overall, the food was decent, but the service was really bad. It was our first time there and we didn't leave a tip.

We had a reservation for New Years Eve. The whole evening was perfect. The food and wines were fantastic, also the homemade drinks were incredible. The staff had a lot of knowledge but was still casual, which was very nice for us. Both the food and staff really made our evening. Thank you and we will recommend to everyone. Hope to come back someday!

Loved this place and the decor. The food was very good and interesting. We had a pre dinner cocktail and the 5 course dinner with wine pairing which cost around 3800 czk per person. This must be a hidden gem as we were the only guests on a satuday evening, besides another couple. Service was just fine, but as with most places in Prague, the English could be a tad better.

We very much enjoyed our brunch experience at Bockem. The dishes were original and very tasty. The portions were good and the coffee was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and clearly love what they do. Highly recommend as a unique culinary experience.

As a true breakfast lover I eat out a lot, locally and abroad. Always on the lookout for sth new and exciting. That’s why I thought Bockem its a place to see while visiting Prague. First of all - the interior is exquisite, minimalistic and elegant. Downside is that the room is really small and very very noisy. It was often hard to keep the conversation going. I would not recommend this place to people with noise sensitivity. Second of all - the staff, well trained and friendly. However some of them were simply too loud and too pushy. Our waitress forgot to explain how the beverage menu works. Last but not least. The FOOD. Not worth its price, I am afraid. Regardless of its spotless presence, the taste was not what i’ve expected. It was just regular. The worst thing after such an expensive meal is to admit that, you could have done much better at home.. Biggest surprise: prices of beverages. Nobody explained it in advanced and they were not incorporated into the menu. In our mind, it felt like they were included in the total price of the main meal. So imagine our surprise when we got the bill. Overall, sadly, it was just a decent experience.

This was not a meal this was an experience. This restaurant is a hidden treasure. The pairing of every dish and drink was perfect, from the presentation, aromatics, texture, taste and quality. The staff was exceptional. Our waiter provided us with indepth descriptions of each and dish and drink. Service was impeccable. The chef's passion was evident in the creativity of each dish. If you are truly a food connoisseur this is the place.

This place deserves a standing ovation! During our 10-day exploration of Prague, we made it a mission to dine out for every meal, on day 3 this spot emerged as an absolute gem. Our tradition of keeping the last day reservation-free to savor our favorites took an unexpected turn when we found ourselves rebooking for our farewell dinner here before even exiting the restaurant. Regrettably, every meal since has been a letdown; nothing manages to measure up to the culinary excellence we experienced at this remarkable spot.

Fantastic breakfast/brunch place. Food was amazing and I did not had gin tonic for breakfast before, but if it always taste like at this place, I'll continue to take it. Service very attentive:) be sure to get to the snails .. absolute Highlight

Went for lunch on a Saturday. It was delicious! The starters and the main dishes are amazing. The deserts in my opinion were not on the same level. I really recommend the snails and the soufflé. The staff is kind, professional, and extremely customer-oriented. On the negative note, the price list is unclear and misleading. I’ll definitely come back

Actually my favourite spot for breakfast/brunch in Prague. From service to kitchen everything was outstanding. They have tasting menu from which you pick entree, plat and dessert. Ans you can combine them with wine, their signature gin&tonic or lemonade.

Ive been here twice, both times for the breakfast/brunch menu. Service is top always happy to explain whats happening on the plate and just in general adding to the friendly casual atmosphere. Food is amazing as well, especially the presentation. The taste is OK not the best in the world but considering the price for the menu its a great value. Oh and its cash only so dont forget the atm visit beforehand :)

Delightful breakfast west of Vltava in a beautiful setting. Their three-course degustation menu (breakfast) is heavenly, and the service is kind and very attentive. No wonder they're listed in the Michelin Guide.

On a rare slow morning we popped into Bockem for breakfast. It was a quiet morning for them too and we had the dining room to our selves. EVERY SINGLE TBING WAS PERFECT. Service, ambiance, drinks, and each dish was a perfect delight. We had 4 different drinks : coffee, tea, raspberry fermented lemonade, and signature gin and tonic. The lemonade snd tonic are made in house and delightful! For breakfast we had just about one of everything and I was in love with the flavor profiles for everyone. Try to get a reservation or simply pop in and take a chance like we did!

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The staff were passionate about the food and wine and everything tasted great. It included a horseradish dessert which was surprisingly delicious.

Lovely surprise! After a sudden change of plans we accidently found this place by a short glance into Google Maps. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. I strongly recommend to book a table here because the space is quite busy. It was really nice to dip into fine dining style food but the atmosphere was casual and laidback tho. Food was delicious and staff was very attentive. Prices are very fair. Great value! 5/5 Cash only, reservation recommended

This restaurant is perfection. Amazing food, amazing friendly service. They are perfectionists and creative artists. Hands down the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in my life! They have homemade lemonade and tonic which you should try their gin and tonic! Cool minimalist industrial design. You need to visit this restaurant and experience it for yourself!
