The
Orlík
Reservoir
is
part
of
the
Vltava
Cascade
in
southern
and
central
Bohemia.
It
was
built
in
the
years
1954–1961
and
dammed
the
flow
of
the
Vltava
River
near
Solenice
in
the
Příbram
region.
It
is
named
after
the
Orlík
castle,
which
was
once
built
on
a
rock
and
where
it
then
stood
on
a
rock
above
the
deep
valley
of
the
Vltava
and
today
is
located
just
a
few
meters
above
the
water.
The
Orlík
Reservoir
offers
a
large
number
of
water
activities,
boat
trips,
steamboats
and
small
boats.
It
is
also
interesting
that
you
can
visit
the
castle
Orlík
and
the
castle
Zvikov
by
water.
