“Meyana
was
a
delightful,
restful,
and
informing
stop
on
our
recent
visit
to
the
Czech
Republic.
Hosts
Sevil
and
Bora
have
tastefully
converted
a
19th
C.
schoolhouse
into
a
cozy
six
room
inn,
nestled
alongside
a
village
pond
in
Dolni
Jadruz,
a
serene
place
in
the
countryside
with
just
20
or
so
families.
Breakfasts
included
homemade
cheeses,
yummy
eggs
from
a
neighbor’s
chickens,
and
baked
delights
from
Meyana’s
kitchen.
Dinners
included
hearty
roasted
meats
and
locally
grown
vegetables,
accompanied
by
curated
Italian
wines
from
the
inn’s
cellar.
Sevil
and
Bora
shared
helpful
advice
about
visiting
nearby
spa
towns,
Marianske
Lazne
and
Karlovy
Vary,
medieval
sites
in
nearby
Germany,
and
other
places
of
interest.
Prague
is
less
than
two
hours
away
by
train,
so
Meyana
serves
as
a
convenient
and
bucolic
retreat
from
which
to
explore
that
city’s
many
treasures.”
