Absolutely gorgeous ! We were a group of 4 celebrating a birthday and we loved it !! After a mind blowing cocktail, we shared a few starters that were in my opinion the best part of the experience (sharing good food with friends is always a pleasure). The main courses were as good and really generous in portions ! Do not hesitate !

Beautiful location downtown Prague, but in a very calm street. Fantastic food from the local suppliers and impeccable service. We truly enjoyed our evening, such a great experience. Definitely leave some space for a dessert! Six stars out of five :)

Phenomenal experience. Best meal I’ve had in eastern/Central Europe thus far. Jun was an excellent server. I had a time constraint of 35 minutes and he served me a 3 course meal in 30. Gave him the option to choose my main dish and selected my favorite entree, the Lamb Stuffed Pepper. The seafood croquettes were also scrumptious. Cute little patio in a beautiful quite area. 5 stars!

BEST.FOOD.EXPERIENCE in Prague! We saw the menu briefly online, and then when we were there we just asked the waiter to pick the foods & drinks for us and surprise us. And voila! It’s all great and they served it like art. Our server is very nice and helpful, he served with passion. Yes locally it’s a little bit pricey, but trust me, it’s all worth the money. I had sparkling tea, first time I’ve ever tried, and turned out it was good, absolutely liked it.

We stayed 5 days in Prague and wanted a fancy restaurant. We first had a cocktail at the bar. Never been in such a posh and stylish place ! Cocktails were great, the food was delicious. A fusion between Asian and Czech food. A MUST.

Branded elevated dining experience in Prague with some service improvements needed Overall, this place is a recommendation in Prague if you are a fan of fusion cuisine. The menu is split between Czech classics and Japanese tapas-style dishes. Price point is a bit high for the city. They also serve a Chef’s Destination Menu that is 5 courses inclusive of dessert. I opted in for this option. The 5 courses were selected from the menu, of which you had the choice of the main course - Rabbit to Trout. If I could do it again, I would order a la carte as the tasting menu had some personal hits and misses - based on my preferences, not the quality. Service is a bit chaotic, but I had multiple chefs and servers attending to me at the same time as a party of one. Manager also checked in which was a nice touch. My main server was the most absent, which was concerning. I was left alone without any service for 30 minutes, and took an hour total from my last course to have to ask for the bill.

Wonderful place, great selection of vegetarian dishes. Excellent service, wine. Fresh ingredients. We will definitely come again! Also their cocktail bar next to it is perfect for after dinner drinks.

This was such an excellent, fine, dinner experience. We were looking for a mix of something with czech influences and with some extra style, and since we are fans of japanese cuisine, me and my friend selected the tasting menu of Zem. We were thoroughly impressed, both by the quality and originality of the dishes, but also the presentation and excellent service. Big plus to our server "Martin" and to the chef "Richard" who both did superb jobs presenting the dishes as well as chatting about the menu and other things, we felt very much at home! A very memorable evening. The dishes are original and a very well thought-out mix of japanese and czech dishes, and this is a great match -- you get the japanese tastes mixed in with original czech recipes. We selected the tasting menu (with individual dishes by the chef -- I recommend that option!), paired it with a very good crispy czech white wine, and off we went. Everything was top notch, and the especially outstanding dishes were the beef tartar (with cauliflower and truffle), which might be the best beef tartar I have ever eaten, as well as the rabbit loin on potato waffle (with mushrooms and red onions), a sublime experience. Other courses included a "deconstructed tuna" as I would call it, with a perfect mix of japanese tastes (wasabi, ponzu, sesame etc), as well as the very memorable confited sunchokes with hazelnuts in cheese espuma (foam). I will strongly recommend this restaurant if you visit Prague and want something extra and fancy, but still with unmistakable "Prague character". I will easily be back to try more dishes when I go to Prague next.

We had the loveliest dinner at ZEM. The ambiance and vibe were stunning. The food was incredible; I especially enjoyed the beef tartar with cauliflower and truffle. The service was impeccable from the host to kitchen staff. Our waiter, Sevastian, was especially attentive, welcoming, and kind and made our dinner perfect. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Fine dine Czech cuisine! Great experience similar to a Michelin star restaurant. Cocktails are limited and no the best, and still worth it. We went for our anniversary and the restaurant gave us a free desert with candles 😍💐❤️

What an excellent surprise! We booked ZEM just a few hours before going there, as a quick pre-opera dinner. Wy wife and I are vegetarians and we were drawn by the innovative vegetarian dishes they had on the menu. The only disappointment was that the carrot schnitzel was not available on that day. The other dishes we had were delicious. Langos, Jerusalem Artichokes, Cucumber Salad and revisited Stuffed Peppers, we would recommend them all! Our waiter, Matej, was top-notch throughout. Given our tight deadline for the opera, he made sure the dishes kept coming quickly, and he provided us with great recommendations for both food and drinks. His happy and proactive attitude, service and professionalism were flawless. The place in itself is a beauty to the eye. Be sure to look at the back of their menu and to ask for their creative business card. We didn’t have time for dessert but we will make sure to come back for it!

Absolutely faultless experience. The food was unreal, was great to have a mix of Asian and traditional Czech food. Service was unmatched and felt so welcome from start to finish. Celebrated my partners birthday and it was an unforgettable evening. Its a must if you are visiting Prague

Wonderful experience in a beautiful environment. Very original concept of Japanese and Czech cuisine, all of the dishes were very well thought and delicious. We struggled with what to pick, but Jakub, who was taking care of us advised what to select and we were super happy. The staff is extremely friendly, relaxed, but professional at the same time. The whole building is newly reconstructed and the interior designers did a brilliant job. We had s drink afterwards at the Mez bar and really enjoyed the ambience there as well. The head chef Richard talked to us in person, was very interested in our feedback, explained us his vision and showed us around, this was a memorable end to our great evening. Way to go, we are definitely coming back!

Hello Lovely People, I was in Zem already 3 times, and every single time was wonderful. They amaze me every time starting from food quality and creativity of Chef, followed by knowledge of staff ( food, drinks, ingredients, history of the dishes and drinks, allergies, etc.) very high level of service. They literally make you feel like a “queen”. Also what is now very important to me as I am pregnant, they can easily accommodate needs of pregnant lady starting from food and drinks: selection of nonalcoholic cocktails or even they can offer to make you some creation based on your favourite flavours. They also have selection of wonderful nonalcoholic wines. I will be back and I highly recommend you to go, wonderful place for also special occasions. ☺️

I had a fantastic dinner. The concept is unique without trying too hard. The food was fantastic. I had starter, main and dessert and the portione are really good which means I was more than satisfied. The service was immaculate too. I would say it's more on a fine dining side even though the atmosphere is quite casual and relaxed. The prices are reasonable - as someone coming from Berlin, you wouldn't be able to have such a menu for this price. It I my fifth time in prague and I will definitely come back to ZEM when I want to treat myself.

One of the best beef tartare and rabbit I’ve ever had. The chef brings you the food - you can tell all the workers are proud to be there. Very knowledgeable servers. Always do what they recommend. Zem is the reason why I want to go back to Prague! Do not miss out on this place!! Eat the dessert! Get the cosmopolitan for a nice surprise.

A refreshing culinary experience in the centre of Prague. We’ve had various Japan inspired fish dishes and also a taste of their take on Czech cuisine. Nice!

We reached the place by coincidence and decided to have a dinner and that was one of the best decisions we made. We had beef tartare and chicken in mayo sauce which were incredibly tasty (thanks goes to Dasha for her recommendations .. really made our day). The lamb as main dish was something of another level. Highly recommended and definitely will be back. Well done.

Very beautiful newly opened restaurant located in a 5-star hotel in the city center. We came here for lunch and were positively surprised with all the dishes they served. Soup was really great. Fish and beef were soft and juicy. Service was really good. Plating is also nice. Drinks were amazing. The interior is of high-end furniture. The have a very good attention to the details.

I give 5* as the atmosphere, the furniture and the food was awesome. Really enjoyed the lunch. One thing to improve is the staff, who seem to be a bit confused, but that should improve over time.

A newly opened restaurant not far from Wenceslaw Square offers a fun fusion of traditional Czech and Japanese cousine. We went with friends for lunch and even though I chose an item from the standard menu it didn't take much time. I loved the cold beetroot soup with citruses and the traditional Czech dessert "větrník" served in a very untraditional form was a great way to end. The setting is very nice and the staff attentive but not too much so :)

Nice surprise! New restaurant with a beautiful interior and professional service. Went for lunch with a friend. I had Kulajda which was not the typical one (meant in a good way). However my friend started with brioche with goat cheese and truffles. That was the best meal I tasted in a very long time! Unfortunately, it was on the daily menu only. So no repetition for me. I continued with salmon trout with basil “halusky” and it was delicious. My friend had fried chicken which was well seasoned and prepared but I think it’s a shame to order fried chicken in such a place. Looking forward to come again, probably for brunch.
