I could spend a lot of time here. It's a really comfortable place. They have inside and outside seating. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We each ordered a lunch sized taco meal. I got Shrimp Taco with rice and beans. My wife ordered Carne Taco. Both looked wonderful. My shrimp had a sauce on it that was way too salty. But the Carne tasted good. Besides the beans and rice, we each got a little scoop of Masa. What a nice pallet cleanser. Our server was attentive and very helpful. We will probably return for a margarita and dinner.

Outstanding food, staff and facility! We couldn't have eaten at a better place while passing thru! Greeted by the pleasant female Manager as we entered, and our waitress was quite accommodating! Never had to ask for a refill on chips, salsa or drinks! She was ahead of our needs and quite impressive! The food was consistant with any other JP's we've ever visited! The nachos were a "piece of art" and quite delicious! 😋 The salsa was fantastic, along with the facility cleanliness! Thank you for taking such great care of us!

The husband and I were looking for somewhere to have a early dinner and after our shopping it is conveniently located across the street from Walmart. We we able to park easy enough, walked in the atmosphere was relaxed and busy, however we were greeted and seated within 5 min of walking in the door, our server named Brandy came up and greeted us, within 3 min of being seated and started immediately with amazing conversation and recommendations made us feel right at ease, we ordered and let me tell you, when the food arrived the flavor was beyond amazing, everything was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned, especially the rice and beans, while we were eating the manager came and checked on us personally and made sure everything was good, as he did with the other tables as well, when we were done, we were stuffed, extremely happy and we will definitely be returning...

We did a to-go order with two meals and three margaritas. The food was fine, but two out of our three margaritas were half full. They were also extremely rude. They put the name for the order down wrong and acted as if it was our fault. They weren't even busy, so I'm not sure why we had to deal with three different people with attitudes...

We were waiting to be seated though it was not busy. The plate was hotter that the food. The meal was presented well with good portions and flavor. Water was tap. We sent the espinaca back to the kitchen as it tasted unusual and cold like our waiter Mathew’s service. He clumsily splashed water on our table and left us to clean it up, seemed annoyed at us, leaned into our personal space as the order was taken, and , thankfully, Emily was there to give us our ticket so we could pay and leave, as The “waiter” had left us waiting. Emily deserves promotion. Good food, overall bad service. Will order for take out in the future.

The chips and salsa were fresh. Baja burrito good flavor. Great service by Dominique. She was very attentive to our needs as well as the other tables she was helping. Refreshing to see!

We love Mexican food so we have eaten there numbers of time. It's just a convenient stop to eat. Food is not the best and we have experienced slow service and a spooky waiter, but it is close to the west Topeka busy shopping area.

So if you look at the three photos that's supposed to be 40 dollars worth of food. The most disappointing is the nachos 12 dollars and it doesn't even cover the bottom of the to go dish. Then there was the fajita trio which was ok for one person but was led to believe it was big enough for two. I don't know if its just because we ordered to go but, over all was disappointed. Despite the restaurant only being about 50% full they seemed to be understaffed even though it looked like there were quite a few people working there. There were a few people working really hard while others while moving around looked lost and really didn't much of anything during the 40 min wait of my order.

Would have to say some of the best service we've got here in a long while. Food was out to table very quick. Becareful plates are very Hot. Keep kids fingers away. Drinks were constantly refilled. Waitress was great especially for being 8 months pregnant. Had a great attitude! You could see she was in pain, but she had a smile! Great job all around. Definitely improving!

I've been in twice lately. The first time I had the worst service I'd ever had. I had to go ask a host to get us water. The waiter was almost never around. This last time the two of us were in and seated and ordered. Two tables who came in after us got their food first. We had to wait almost an hour for our food. When it did come the person only brought one of the two orders and had a lame excuse that he had to carry something else to a different table. The other dinner came out 5 minutes later. A weak apology was offered by the guy who brought out meals. Our server never said anything. Not sure I will try for the third strike they may already be out in my book.

Ordered food. Never saw server again. Good order was wrong and my wife never even ate. No drink refills. Lady that brought our food slammed down on table and never even acknowledged us. No smile, thank you or anything. I literally had to walk out with my children for my wife to pay because I was about to loose my mind after sitting there waiting for ANYONE to get a tab. Restaurant is gross with mold growing visibly. Manager caught my look but didn’t even bother.

Lil chimichangas hit the spot, and Mexican pizza service was nothing special. It seems he needed to chill at bar instead of caring for tables.

11/15/23 update… ordered cheese chicken quesadilla hoping to get a nice toasty quesadilla. Instead, received a soggy inedible mess. The older man, I think he’s the manager, acts like he is in the sales “prevention” dept. Not very friendly. He’s taken my to go orders a couple of times now, he treats to go customers like a hassle. Maybe he treats in house guests the same. Doesn’t want to take to go orders, doesn’t want to do curbside. Ordered the Monterrey chicken burrito on special today- to go. I’ve never ordered this before, but the text message from Jose today advertising the special looked delish. Burrito not hot, rice not hot, beans not hot, looks nothing like the pic, dry, tough chicken, Espinaca on top was skimpy- overall looked nothing like the pic. Waste of $$.

Our hostess and waitress did well. The kitchen forgot to make the dessert when we ordered it to go and then was brought to us by the manager 20 minutes later as an eat in plate. The nice waitress fixed it all.

We love the "puffy", deep fried, tacos on Tuesdays. They're a TexMex style taco that's difficult to find in this region. The servers are always cheerful and the prices are very reasonable.

Came in for a quick lunch with a co worker. Service fast the tacos were quite tasty and came out quick! Prices very reasonable will do again!

Started off with chips and salsa, followed with the mini chimis, and the for the main count crab and shrimp enchiladas and the wife had the beef chimichanga. Andre was a awesome waiter for us. Friendly, sweet, kind, attentiveness from him. If you are here on a Tuesday ask to be sat in Andre's area. Had a long island iced tea as well. Not just the margaritas here.

Came for lunch great food. Service was horrible ben was doing his best in which i respect but the lady that brings the food is horrible. Just attitude, huffing and puffing. Just overall irritated at the tables on our side of the restaurant.

Food is ok, atmosphere average. ISSUE needing attention big time = maragrita came out almost pure tequila. Sent it back and watched the bar tender get irritated, waiter came back and said there is nothing they could do and gave a side of margarita mix!! Unacceptable. These issues always stem from the top down, not just a bad bar tender. Train properly, fire immediately, or lose customers and $, your choice Jose.

The food was excellent, service was descent. We did order a carryout while eating our meal. We paid and then the server forgot about us, we sat and waited for a manager to finally notice and go back and get our food. I will go again though.

It's the"little things" I ordered stuffed chicken peppers, no special ranch dipping sauce came with it. I asked for hot salsa was given mild. It's the little things that matter. 😐

If you love Tex Mex food you'll love Jose Peppers. I wish other restaurants would taste their salsa & chips. Those were the first two things that had me sold on this restaurant. I ordered the Tres Enchiladas. I substituted Chicken for a second cheese with no problems. The waitress was lovely. When the food arrived I was stunned at the massive portions. It isn't a Mom & Pop place so the prices reflect that, but I got 3 meals out of my JP order. That's a cheap way to eat for $15. I'll take pictures next time. I was to busy feeding my face this time!

Jose Peppers 🌶️ always delicious... Other than my own homemade enchilada.... there's are the Best I've tasted... I need to talk to he cook and need to know what brand of tortillas the use..lol😋😋😋

Great service! You can taste the freshness in every bite from the salsa to the entrees. Dont pass up the Espinaca con queso, Pollo magnifico, and Mahi tacos. You will leave more than satisfied.
