So far so good, we are in Kansas with my company for the lineman rodeo, I haven’t checked out the food or bar yet. The entry way was beautiful. Hot tub was clean and hot, pool is “heated” of heated means not ice then it is definitely heated however I have over my stays at hotels learned heated pools isn’t what I would call heated

They did a great job on the renovation. The beds are super comfortable and the restaurant and gym were a pleasant surprise too. Next time I visit I hope the lounge will be available. The restaurant and bar staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly. A very comfortable and productive stay. Nice job! I will be back.

Arrived and was given a filthy room. Hair all over the tub, crumbs on the table, and crumbs on the bed. Bath tub is absolutely disgusting and the sink clunked loudly from the drain for over a minute after washing our hands. We called down, got argued with by someone with broken English about why we'd rather move to another room instead of having maintenance come up to only fix the sink, hung up on them after being argued with. Husband had to go down and demand a new room, which they finally agreed to. Moved to the new room, on the same floor, and was greeted with what was either crumbs, dirt or bugs on the bed spread. We did not stay long enough to find out what exactly it was and had to find a new hotel. Also all the duvet covers are wide open at the bottom, it looks ripped and trashy. Very disappointing because the reviews made this place seem decent and I was excited for Starbucks in the morning. We ended up staying in the Drury across the street, same price and much much cleaner.

Being remodeled but did a great job to accommodate. Easy on and off if your southbound. Would recommend it.

Booked this hotel for a Friday night. I had to come to KC area for some errands and needed a decent place for my wife and baby. The location is very good. 3 minute drive from a Super Target. The pools said they were heated but it was cold, outdoor wasn’t so bad since it was naturally heated. My reason why I gave 4/5 instead of 5/5 is because there was no microwave in the room and kinda pricey. I will be staying here again. There is a nice bar and grill inside that is always good. Breakfast place across the street is one of our favorites, but the hotel offers an amazing breakfast buffet for $15 a person. Very reasonable. If you’re debating this hotel, it’s actually pretty decent. There’s also a Starbucks in the lobby, which was yummy!

The room was nice with upgraded finishes. The lobby & bar area made for a great spot to spend the evening with coworkers. And the Starbucks on the main floor is a convenient spot to grab something to get you out the door early. With my Bonvoy status I also add access to the M Club area. Nice, quiet area with perks. Overall a very nice hotel!

The hotel itself is quite nice and clean, and the staff is professional and efficient. I would definitely stay here again, but offer a couple caveats. First, we stayed a few nights and needed towels brought to the room - we didn’t need full housekeeping, but wanted new towels, coffee, etc. They offer these things, but you have to go downstairs yourself to get them. I haven’t really seen this before - not a huge deal, but sort of weird. Second, the amenities, such as the bar and pool, close at 10PM. Also, not crazy, but feels early. Some of these seem like staffing issues - the people who do work there are good, but there might not be enough of them.

Service was great. Di went out of her way during the breakfast service every day to make sure we were happy. She found out I liked regular Lipton tea and not only found me a tea bag but she recognized me each morning and would go get me a couple of tea bags during that time. You could see her going around and giving that same level of service to everyone. She really goes above and beyond and takes pride in what she does.

The hotel remodel is phenomenal. Stayed there before the remodel and what you all have done is spectacular. So clean, very modern, classy feel. My bed was comfy, just a great place to stay.

Nice staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. The hot tub's jets do not work, or work poorly. The hours on Saturday stated that the hot tub was open at 7:00AM, but it took over 30 minutes for the engineer to arrive and open the door for the guests. Also, there were no food options available Sunday afternoon. Otherwise, not bad at all. I would stay again.

I do care for the Marriott's designer with your remodel it's cold no personality or warmth. I live on a farm and love it but prefer a little warm and cozy when I travel. My tractor is red also!😘

Wow! This hotel was so beautiful inside and the staff were so friendly and kind. We stayed there for a week and the level of hospitality and service provided was incredible. The room was modern and spacious, and the M club lounge was beautiful. Thank you to the manager and everyone who made us feel like we were home away from home!

This property is the personification of the word meh I've stayed here many times over the last 5 years and the rooms have been mostly refreshed, but it's just covering core issues that weren't addressed. I'll say the lounge is a 1400% increase over the old one. The staff are friendly and it's very well stocked. That's the good The elevators are and will always be rubbish. I've been stuck in them before, almost got stuck again last week. Top tip, hit the door close and open buttons if it just takes a nap when you're on it. Have waited 10+ minutes multiple times waiting to come down. At most 2 work, usually only 1 at a time. Water pressure is equivalent to a garden hose that 9 cars are parked on. Cold water showers happen at least once every other trip. So a dribble of cold water is expected. Paying for parking is ridiculous since the gates stay up. It's a pain to walk anywhere because there's no sidewalks out unless you go west through the neighbor lot. And the roundabout is hilarious. Most cars turn the wrong way because of a poor design. It would be safer to redo the entrance entirely Internet is spotty, as is in room power. There's a fridge but no microwave. The pool and hot tub work now, so that's a plus. Not my favorite spot, more of my short list least favorite spots. I'm lifetime platinum, so my review isn't based on someone that travels once in a while or is unfamiliar with the brand or full service properties.

This is a great property! I stayed the night for a concert at Arrowhead and it was easy to hop on the interstate and get there and back. It is in a great location with tons of restaurants nearby. The hotel interior is updated the rooms are spacious and modern. The bathrooms are somewhat small, but that wasn't an issue for me. It was great having an actual Starbucks on property as well. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel looks awesome after the remodel. Most importantly Mark who is the bar and M Club is outstanding! We were in town for my wife’s cancer checkup and we got together with family and friends on Tuesday night and he was kind enough to reserve a table for us! To me he went above and beyond!!

Room was very pleasant & nice but my profile asks for a higher floor - we were on the 2nd floor. We appreciated Carlos in housekeeping taking care of an issue. Mark, the bar manager, was helpful with the some issue we had as well as Brooke the director of rooms. Everyone was making sure we had a good experience.

The upgrade to a bigger room was a wonderful bonus. The gym was great and breakfast was quite good. The only disappointment was that the M Lounge was closed that weekend - it would have been very nice to get away from the obnoxiously loud and present kids' sports groups staying there that weekend.

I stayed at the Marriot in Wichita a few months ago... the people and room were great. I stayed for a week and the only thing I did not like there was that their full restaurant could not produce anything that tasted good. Breakfast or dinner, I left disappointed. Here in Overland Park the people are 💯 and the room is beautiful and clean... Unlike Wichita though, the food is amazing! They have a cute little bistro and the food is 100 times better. Not just edible but delicious and served by a sweet, fast and helpful server, Sara! Thank you Sara!

This is a fantastic hotel, and my experience throughout the entire stay was outstanding. The staff were very welcoming and professional. Lisa and Di went above and beyond, and the hospitality shown was one of the best I've experienced at Marriott. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet, and has great amenities. Highly recommended!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The only issue were the elevators. It seemed at times that only one elevator was operational at times leading to lomg lines and waits of up to 5-10 minutes before you were able to get one.

Beautiful rooms, nice lobby. Walls seemed thin in the rooms I could hear everything in the next room. My shower doors were broken. Both doors slid to the same side and wouldn’t stay closed. I had to push a towel in the tracks to take a shower with both doors closed. I told the front desk so they could fix it. Overall the really liked the hotel. The room had very nice finishing with great backlighting on the TV.

  • 5/5 Kimberly F. 9 months ago on Google
The rooms are very nice, clean, and modern. I would recommend in the room to allow the TV to move or move the desk. When somebody is working at the desk and watching TV at the same time, it is a challenge to see the TV and it is blaring in your ear. The indoor and outdoor pool is spacious. We did have an issue locating a bathroom from the pool area. We had to walk through the entire hotel, passed the lobby, passed guest services, passed Starbucks, past the restaurant, and finally made it to the bathrooms in our bathing suits. The back pool decking is worn and be cautious of walking barefoot with all the little broken rocks. The pool latter is very loose. Overall we had a great time.

Michaela and the rest of the front desk staff were outstanding. Really liked the room with two king-size beds. I’ve never seen that before but we enjoyed it. The M club was nice and a welcome addition over the old hotel. All in all an excellent update. We’re still great people.

Great location, right in the middle of the City. Nice clean rooms , not much spacious though. Good caring front desk, M lounge and buffet breakfast staff. Friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.

great hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly and professional staff members.. My wife, our dog and I have stayed here 3 times so far and will be spending more time here next week as we return from visiting grand kids. Be sure to have a drink and tapas at the bourbon bar off the lobby and a coffee in the morning from the starbucks also off the lobby. Our last stay, right after we had checked in we had a problem with a toilet that overflowed. Reported the incident and were immediately provided another room.. thanks for making our stops comfortable and hassle free.

I want to start by saying the staff was wonderful and for the most part we had a wonderful stay. My issue is with parking. I find it offensive to pay for parking at a hotel that isn’t in a downtown area. Parking isnt an issue in this area. If security is the reason, well the gates weren’t working half the time. You needed your room key to leave the parking lot. (Or I thought you did, FYI push the silver help button and the gate will open) I was hoping this Marriott would be our home away from home because we are in OP quite often visiting family but we will have to keep looking.

We attended a convention at this hotel. Our room and the meeting rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a minor problem with the bathroom sink in our room not draining and backing up. But overall the hotel was very nice and service oriented.

Extremely loud renovations that they won’t notify you about until it’s too late to cancel. They refuse to make sure the door is working before you arrive. We wasted almost an hour trying to figure out why the keys won’t work to our door. Instead of putting us in a different room they made us wait for an “engineer” to fix the door. Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!! And if you leave a voicemail for management about your experience or talk to a supervisor about your poor experience, they will do nothing. Unacceptable!

  • 1/5 Alicia F. 2 years ago on Google
They didn’t let us know about extremely loud renovations taking place until 8 hours before our check in. (Too late to cancel). Our 1 year old couldn’t take naps during the very loud pounding. When we arrived we were given a key that didn’t work. After frequent back and forth from our room to front desk getting a new key every time we were told that an engineer would have to come to our room (instead of simply putting us in a different room). When they finally figured out that the battery for our door was dead, 45 minutes had passed and we missed our dinner reservation. When the “engineer” arrived at our door, he somehow ran into my 1 year old and she went flying and has a huge goose egg on her forehead. I left a voicemail with management about our experience and talked to a random “supervisor” about our experience and they all did nothing, so they simply don’t care. I was surprised that we couldn’t even get an apology about our experience.

Very nice hotel. Great amenities, comfortable accommodation, and excellent location. My only complaint is the lack of free parking. You are already paying an exorbitant price for the room (110-150) and they have the gall to charge $10 a night for parking. It would be a 5 star if not for that.

  • 3/5 Jason V. 2 years ago on Google
The construction during our stay really took the experience down a little, but it'll probably be really nice when they're done. The bartender was not nice at all, but she made good drinks. Desk staff was excellent

  • 4/5 Stacy T. 2 years ago on Google
I didn't give 5 stars only because they are in the middle of remodeling. (As of January 2022) the remodeling in the entry is looking nice, and I'm anxious to come back when it is complete. Staff was very kind, extremely helpful and courteous. Definitely would recommend for anyone.

This place was home away from home for a couple of weeks. It's an older hotel, definitely could use an update but it has everything you could possibly need. Washers, dryers, breakfast, basketball court, small putt-putt golf area, pool, commons area, small convenience store at the front desk, outside patio with grills. Quiet for the most part. Located around shopping centers within a mile. Only problem we had was washing our clothes, Karen residents would come and open the washers and dryers and run your time out. The whole building definitely could use a swift dusting, too. Especially the curtains in the rooms. The heating and air vents are on the ceiling, blowing the dust from the curtains all over the room every time it switches on. The sheets were not clean but there was extra in the closet. The pull out bed from the sofa was disgusting, full of old food and had no pad left to it at all. They should definitely look in to deep cleaning their rooms and equipment. The staff was absolutely amazing, though. They were very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Our kids learned some Spanish from housekeeping. It was so fun. She was such a sweet girl. Thanks for being our home away from home! We had a blast.

We have stayed at a lot of Marriot Hotels. This one is very nice. Rooms are very nice newly renovated. The breakfast is with real plates and silverware. The people are very nice and helpful. They haven't finished renovations on the whole hotel yet but when they do I'm sure it's even gonna be better.

Friendly staff. Safe area. The room looked and smelled brand new. It was VERY clean. We were on the top floor and had a very nice view. The beds were very comfortable. There are plenty of USB ports available bedside to charge phones. There is a Starbucks in the hotel and those employees were very nice as well. The hotel is under construction but we did not hear any construction. This was either because we were on the top floor or maybe the crew wasn’t working over the weekend. We were there Friday and Saturday night. There is a charge for breakfast but I think there should be a free breakfast. We did not choose to pay for breakfast at a hotel when there are wonderful options at nearby restaurants. The only annoying thing was that the room service seemed very anxious to get into the room before checkout at 12, so we felt like we had to hurry out.

  • 5/5 Lauren P. 2 years ago on Google
Everything was so clean and it smelt good. You could tell the rooms had actually been cleaned. Staff is great. Jaden was extremely helpful. She definitely deserves credit where credit is due... and a raise. Excellent stay. We will be back.

  • 4/5 Mathew J. 1 year ago on Google
The room was clean and comfortable with excellent wifi available. Deducting one star as the breakfast hot food offering was not hot. Even items from the bottom of the various serving dishes were, at best, lukewarm with the top often being cold. Didn't try any of the lunch and evening food options so no comment there. Windows could have done with a clean as well.... But in terms of priorities which were somewhere comfortable to stay with friendly staff - these were met and exceeded so would stay again.

Have stayed here many times. Currently finishing up a renovation. Hotel and staff are excellent and try to take care of guest. Conveniently located and very accommodating. I have booked all my trips to Olathe, KC with this Marriott Overland Park. Great staff and service. Look forward to my next stay!!!

When arrived at hotel was surprised that I did not get a handicapped accessible room with wheel in shower as requested when book.I was assured by Brian that he had put that in the request several times so it would not be an issue. Then was given a handicapped room but with a tub. Went back downstairs and finally got correct accessible room.Do the computer systems from booking to hotel not communicate?? There is nothing worse having to show up at a hotel with an incorrect room when you have special needs and somehow feel like it is your fault although you have done the correct things when booking.

Jessica at the front desk is such a genuine good person, she is calm, collected, and patient. All hallmarks of excellent customer service. I’m not sure her title but it felt like the owner of the company was helping me to have a good experience as a corporate training member not even a hotel guest.

  • 4/5 Rebecca D. 1 year ago on Google
Nice hotel. Rooms good size. Shower doors would roll open during showers multiple times which was annoying. Needs to have business amenities available during renovations, as they are publicized that those are available. Close to good restaurants and has a Starbucks in lobby. Would stay again.

  • 5/5 Elise M. 1 year ago on Google
This review may be confusing as I did not actually stay at this hotel. I stayed in the Marriott that was in downtown KC but needed a place to hang out for a couple of hours until a friend could come pick me up. When I explained the situation to the hotel staff behind the counter they were so friendly and accommodating and made me feel so at home even though I was staying in a different branch of the hotel. The atmosphere in the lobby was wonderful as well. They had aesthetic areas to sit and classy music. My few hour stay was very enjoyable and I wish I had caught the name of the staffer behind the desk so that he could be recognized.

Lovely hotel, well appointed, comfortable spacious rooms, and very attentive and friendly staff. I accidentally left my shawl (my constant travel accessory and a gift from a special person) in a conference room. When I went to the front desk to see if it had been turned into lost and found - several staff members went looking for it. It had been turned in and was eventually found. I was impressed with how more than one individual took the time to check all places for it. Great customer service and care.

Beautiful newly renovated hotel. I am so HAPPY that Marriott kept the bathtubs in this hotel. In new hotels, they seem to be eliminating bathtubs in favor of large showers. When I travel I actually have time for the luxury of a bath. We will absolutely be back to this lovely property.

  • 3/5 Bobbie R. 1 year ago on Google
This is a very nice, recently renovated hotel. Staff is helpful and friendly. Location was ideal for me. Food, meh. Rooms are nicely done and clean. My problem is the accessibility. For a recent remodel, it seems like there would be more ADA features. I use a walker. And am in a handicapped room. There are no automatic doors except for main entrances. All interior doors are extremely heavy! Very hard to open while using a walker. My room has a higher commode and some bars in the tub. However to flush the toilet, you have to close the lid and reach under the counter. The door to the room has a marble threshold, so it’s not zero entry. The shower is not walk-in. No one in a wheelchair could possibly use this room! Do better Marriott!

  • 4/5 Bee C. 1 year ago on Google
The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. I did not expect much from free breakfast at first but I got a choice of hot breakfast or cold and it was great! The bonus is semi-private seating with a private TV so I can choose what channel to watch while having breakfast or dinner! The indoor Swimming pool is great with a nice garden view. The gym is small and just ok.

  • 3/5 Jason P. 2 years ago on Google
Renovation in progress! Lobby is under construction but at least the restaurant had some food available. I'm sure it will be really nice once the renovation is over. Hopefully the renovated rooms get rid of the bathroom barn doors that allow all sights and sounds to escape, and add a bathroom fan to exhaust the smells and keep the mirror fog free.

  • 5/5 Marc G. 1 year ago on Google
Renovations look great and getting better every day. The hotel staff did a wonderful job handing the needs of a large group holding meetings there. The bar and kitchen staff were wonderful as well; very attentive. Thank you!
