Usually work out for an hour and half, probably spend half of that time waiting for machines and benches to open up. One Monday, I came in and waited an hour and not a single bench/smith machine opened. Went to the cable machines, every single one was taken. That was the final straw for me and I canceled right then and there. I’d rather spend a little more somewhere else than waste hours a week for machines to open up at this gym.

I come here every week and get nothing but nightmares and very sore body parts. Some random African American man came up to me and made fun of the weight I was lifting. Then a bunch of Mexican men came and started correcting my form. And every time I try and bench people sit and stare at me.

BRENDON HUDSON is a TERRIBLE District Manager. He lies to everybody.. probably for the control, or maybe feel just a pinch bigger. Perhaps it really is "LITTLE MAN SYNDROME".

Bad experience with the manager Cody. Customer service here is terrible. Cody who displays a lack of organizational skills, poor communication and customer service skills. I’ve been a member since 2021 and this last month has been horrible. This location makes rules as they see convenient, absolutely no transparency in the information being given. The the “club manager” should be reevaluated and trained in conflict resolution and team leading skills.

Lots of inclusion rhetoric posted everywhere, also posted is if you bring a gallon jug of water to drink and grunt when you are lifting you are a "lunk" and they have a light that goes on for a "lunk alert". So much for inclusion. I go there cause it's cheap. You get your $10 worth. Don't recommend the blackcard cause the added perks are mostly gimmicks

This is an awesome gym. All the staff there are professional and super pleasant. I don’t know why everyone gives PF such a hard time. New equipment and the members are nice. Definitely recommend it. Especially for the price. I was paying $100 a month for another elsewhere and for what? Don’t need a steam room and a bar to go to. Just weights. Keep it simple.

Been going here for a few years. Exceptionally clean and staff are friendly & very helpful. Restrooms are kept clean and soap dispensers always full. Hydro-massage table and chairs are very relaxing and efficient. A pleasure to workout in this environment.

I enjoy coming here, I call it my happy place, because I know one day I will look in the mirror and see the body I been working on, coming into view, If I put the time in it's gonna pay off ( Facts)

Great Spot. Big Spacious Gym. Everything Awesome! Kansas u have the Planet Fitness Award compared to other States..between Shawnee and Hutchinson. Both r in Top 3. Easy

I have been here nearly every morning for the past year since moving to Shawnee. Gabe and Ethan have been two of the most recent additions to the morning team and have been phenomenal. Ethan uses his gift of drawing to make people feel uniquely inspired. Gabe uses his expert ability to connect with people and knows everyone that walks in. Both are hard workers and diligent in their time there. I can’t speak for the gym in the afternoon/evenings, but I would recommend this gym highly for your morning workout.

My mom and I have been going for the last 2 years and we have never had a bad experience. The staff is great, the gym equipment is clean. If there is an issue, it is resolved quickly. As black card members, we also enjoy the extra amenities. It's all definitely worth the membership.

This is a great facility, I had a problem with my payment due to a fraud alert ony account and they let me keep coming until my account cleared and get my payment to them. Great customer service planet fitness thanks for your dedicated service and understanding

I would recommend Planet Fitness. The staff all Greet You warmly @ arrival & each time you approach the desk for services. My Trainer Maddox is Excellent! He is informative & educated. He takes the time to listen & hear what is important to you. Maddox helped tailor my training to me as an individual. He also makes sure that I am feeling comfortable with each exercise. He is also prompt & respects my schedule. You can feel comfortable with Maddox. Maddox is open to questions, explaining & showing you & doing the steps of exercise with you as needed. He will also correct your form when needed. I enjoy extra cardio before & after my workout. There is plenty of equipment available, even during peak times. I love the accessibility of tanning on site. I enjoy the 3 different massage beds. Each feel slightly different. Clean facility. I also feel safe in the well lit parking lot & available parking close to the front of the Bldg.

Impossible to cancel. I called and they said I couldn’t cancel over the phone. They don’t electronically take cancellation forms. They said I had to snail mail to cancel. Months later they never got the cancellation form. You can only cancel at the location where you initially signed up. Finally got to the location in Shawnee and they are under construction so couldn’t cancel. Still can cancel, who knows, Maybee I’ll never be able to.

The personal trainer at this location Maddox is great. He modifies exercises in his classes to my needs and fitness level. His classes are so much better than just using the machines.

Great place to work out. I have a black card. U get all the benefits. Staff and management are great. Keep up the great work!!

Jake the manager is awesome and Christina is a great teammate too. Solid gym. I do wish they could get another cable tower as they are always full. Really enjoyed my visits to this location.

I love the huge variety of equipment to choose from. The staff is always nice and the facility is always clean.

Spacious gym with great lighting everywhere. Not too hot or cold. Bathrooms always clean and in working order. Massage chairs and bed all work. Very pleasant staff. My favorite PF gym in the metro 🤘💪

Maddux is why I come here .I can’t see myself being here without him pushing me to do the exercises and to do them right. I would be home sitting on my butt. Give that man a raise. Love coming here . The staff is very kind.

The ample variety of working out gym machines at Planet Fitness gym draws you in to workout. Just like a sub- conscious trigger motivator. So even on days when not feeling it - just come by and see: you end up working out; I love it

My local Planet Fitness is clean friendly and respectful. It is easy to go in, work out, get a hydro massage and go on with my day. It takes a short amount of time, so I am able to progress in my routine.

This Planet Fitness is extremely clean. The staff is always very friendly. The club is top of the line if you enjoy going to a gym.

Planet fitness is the best gym for the money. if your starting out thus is the place for you to go to. Get the black card too.. it allows you to go to any other planet fitness in the country. so you have no excuses to not go..

I like PF and this particular location, it feels like home to me. The staff is friendly, the equipment is well kept for the most part, and they keep it clean. Although I do miss free weights, I still get a good workout in. Thanks PF staff!

Man. We moved from Olathe to basehor, thought about canceling our two black card memberships but figured we'd give Shawnee a try for a while. Turns out they like the close 20 to 30 minutes early. Drive 25 minutes for literally a half hour workout, before This location closed. Bummer, closed 20 to 30 minutes early. People in there working out but doors locked. We'll have to go with a local snap fitness. Cool model, Planet Fitness, awful execution.

I’m a regular here (2-3 days per week depending on travel) and have been considering making this post for some time, but I have to say of all the PF locations I’ve visited this has to be one of the lowest ratings I’ve given. There are consistently machines broken and out of order for several days or even weeks at a time. The cleanliness of most machines, especially the cardio equipment, is horrific. I understand we are post COVID, but it’s really bad and when I wipe down a piece of equipment on my own I shouldn’t be grossed out. I can only speak for the men’s locker room, but there is almost always some sort of mess in there and the container holding 🧻 in the stalls has been broken for weeks. If there was a PF closer to me I would probably go there instead. With the black card membership only being $20 a month I guess we can’t expect too much, but it would be nice to see a little pride in keeping things up to par for all patrons.

Staff that is friendly to clients and quite attentive to their needs as well as to the maintenance of the facilities. Nice variety of exercise equipment. Like the way that the locker room décor is toned down (no glaring lights) and has a mirror and electrical connections in each private dressing room.

I've had a great workout every time, very clean facility and awesome customer service.

They have a good variety of machines and weights to get a complete work out. They also have tanning beds that you rarely have to wait to use. There are chairs and tables that provide water pressure massages.

I love the Shawnee Planet Fitness. Even though there are Planet Fitness locations closer to my home, I go to Shawnee for several reasons. It is so clean and bright there. The staff is really kind and work very hard to keep everything in great condition. The atmosphere is truly 'judgment-free.'

Very happy I joined!!! Almost all of the staff is cheery each time we enter! They have funny or motivational signs up daily as you walk into the gym area. The manager makes it a point to recognize members and talk to them. He seems to genuinely appreciate clients! He also is right there working alongside his staff and seems to respect them. This location is spacious and very clean! And if a machine does break they are on top of getting it fixed quickly. Plus the numerous spa amenities are a definite plus!!!
