Brobeck's served up some very good KC BBQ for lunch for me and a friend the other day. In particular, the ribs and burnt ends were standouts. Loved the fries. All around solid Q and the staff was super helpful, understanding and offered good suggestions (ham salad). Put this joint on your Kansas City Barbeque Road Trip for sure.

This strip mall BBQ spot has some of the best ribs around. I would even go back just for the Polish sausage. Try out the ham salad, I usually hate ham salad and it was delicious. Bathroom was a bit sketchy so I only gave 4 stars. It could use a clean and an overhaul.

Recommended by a friend and now I'm hooked! Food and service were both amazing!! I got fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and burnt ends for the main, and both were sooooo delicious! The burnt ends were so juicy and full of flavor, and practically melted in my mouth. They didn't need any BBQ sauce, but I still tried their sauce since it was my first time here, and their sauce was great too and complemented the meat well. And you can tell they're a good team here too. Melinda was my server but I was helped by at least three very friendly team members =) I know in KC we all have our staple BBQ restaurants we go to and kinda stick to, but I def recommend trying this place out if you're in the mood for some great new BBQ. Thank you Brobeck's for a great first experience! =)

Came here for the first time (Fri night). My husband and I both got combo dinners. Ribs were ok, the ham and turkey were both literally lunch meat. They added some of their own flavoring to it but there was no disguising it. The mac n cheese was Kraft. Baked beans were store bought. The onion rings and fries were good. Service was excellent. Seems like there is some inconsistency with the quality of food. Sometimes it's real turkey, mac n cheese, etc (as seen in other reviews) but tonight it wasn't.

KC born and raised here. You can get better BBQ elsewhere. The burnt ends were over charred, dry and tough compared to many KC joints. The mustard sauce was pretty good with the meat. The cheesy corn was okay at best, wasn't very warm and had a ton of black pepper. Overall: decent meal, good prices, and great service.

We had a ribbon cutting so we provided BBQ for our guests. Dean was amazing he delivered helped us get it all set up. Helped us with the chaffing dishes. At the last minute he added more food on for us. The food was out of this world.

Food was great. BBQ sauce was on the sweeter side(not too much vinegar) which we like! Pulled pork was awesome! If you like ham, try the ham-salad. Fries are big steak fries without the skins, very good. Brisket was on the dry side but had great Smokey flavor! Our server was friendly and provided great service!

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The staff is super friendly and respectful. The food/portions for the price is ridiculous. Idk how they even make a profit to be honest. One of my all time favorite places.

BBQ is decent with an interesting but subtle flavor. Was looking for someplace that had good smoked meat with good hints of hickory or mesquite, or even of apple wood or cherry wood, but they kinda fell to average, and that's ok. Small Town diner feel in a nice part of Overland Park, Kansas. The service to myself as well as those around me was stupendous...thank you.

Cute bbq place. Has a small town one owner vibe. Definitely a try if you haven't eaten before.

Very good BBQ! Our waitress gave us the tip of combining the two sauces together and it was so good I bought a bottle of both to bring home!

I got the Half Slab Baby Ribs with Fries and Baked Bean. This is definitely one of the top barbeque places I've been to. They barbeque differently and on the menu it states they use a special rub recipe on the meats and then smoke them and serve dry. It's really good and I look forward to coming back.

I thought it felt like a hometown diner in the midst of a city. Great staff and food. Service was like the old days - personable and fun. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. Tuna salad appetizer 😋. Parking is convenient, btw. Love this place.

We were at the nursery across the street and could smell that great BBQ smoke, looked for where it was coming from, and saw it was Brobecks! I had heard great things about their ham salad in the Kansas City Eats group on Facebook, so we decided to give it a try. We were greeted almost as soon as we entered. We were under the impression that it was an order-at-the-counter kind of place, but were happy to be told to find a table we liked and have a seat. Service was friendly, especially from the lady who brought the food to the table. We weren’t that hungry and didn’t want leftovers because we had more errands to run, so the two of us ordered the ham salad appetizer, of course, and shared the BBQ dinner that came with 3 meats and 2 sides. We got brisket because that’s our benchmark for any barbecue joint, and also the spicy jalapeño cheese sausage and pulled pork. Our sides were green beans, because I wanted a lower carb option, and fries. The ham salad didn’t disappoint, but what really made the appetizer great was the house-made chips, with the best spice on them. All of the meats on the dinner platter were excellent, but we liked the sausage the best. The brisket was moist, and so was the pork without being greasy. And the steak fries were really excellent too. No grease there! The worst thing on the plate was the green beans. They had a funky flavor, almost like spicy poultry seasoning, that we didn’t really care for, but that’s ok. Two kinds of sauce on the table, one mustard-based, the other regular KC-style sauce. Neither were to our taste, but it didn’t matter because the meat didn’t need anything else to make its flavor shine. Next time we’re in the neighborhood we’ll stop in again and try some other dishes, but we’ll definitely have more of that sausage if it’s available, fries, and we’ll try the coleslaw. Definitely recommend.

I ate the burnt ends special. I guess you have to look at the board coming in as there are no menus. There is a specials menu at the table. The specials on Thursdays are the burnt ends or ribs. The burnt ends were not real warm when served. They were tender as the fat content was high. I had no idea what the sides were, but the waitress said fries and I said sure. I may go back and give them a chance on their ribs.

Nice environment. The server was friendly and attentive. The food came in a good amount of time. I ordered a sandwich with two meats, brisket and turkey with fries. I don't think the turkey was made in the kitchen. The sandwich was decent when I added bbq sauce.

Great barbecue. 10/10. PROTIP: mix the house sauces for the perfect barbecue combination. PROTIP 2: if you like spicy sauce, you have to ask for it as it’s behind the counter.

We live in NW Arkansas and visit this area for travel ball, NASCAR, Chiefs games you name it. We always and I mean always make time to swing by and get them baby back ribs. Wait staff are always awesome and everything we’ve tried has been really good. Ribs and baked beans are my favorite though. And beer is ice cold!!!

Great service, good price, typical small BBQ atmosphere, unfortunately not great BBQ in a city full of great options. We went at 5:30 on a Saturday evening and found our own seats immediately. The server quickly greeted us and she was very attentive the entire time we were there and was very polite. We were served quickly, all our questions were answered and good suggestions were made. Our family of 5 ate for $53 before tip which is a really good price for BBQ, but was helped by the low cost of their kids meals. Unfortunately our experience was that all the food was lacking. We had ribs, burnt ends, pulled pork, the BBQ sloppy joe, macaroni, smoked baked potato, creamy corn, fries, and 2 kids meals. The BBQ sloppy joe and ribs were our two best meats, but we're not super exciting either. The burnt ends were tender, but not super flavorful on their own and the pulled pork was dry and not flavorful as well. If you enjoy smoked baked potatoes this one was good with a nice smoke flavor. The creamy corn and mac & cheese left something to be desired. The corn had a grainy almost broken sauce texture and flavor to it while the Mac & cheese had Kraft like noodles (although it may not have actually been Kraft) with some shredded cheese on top and really wasn't creamy or homestyle like most good BBQ places. The most redeeming part of the food is the sauce. The BBQ sauce and the mustard style sauce are both great. Unfortunately I had to slather on the sauce to get flavor and juiciness since there wasn't much in the meat. I wanted to like Brobeck's as another KC BBQ option, but it just wasn't up to the quality set by other area places.

Excellent BBQ as always. Pulled pork here is always soft and tastes smooth. it's not dried out like many other BBQ joints in KC.

Service was great! We ordered Burnt ends, a a baby back rib, and pulled pork nachos. The ribs were excellent, burnt ends were pretty good, and pulled pork was extremely tender! Super affordable! Will definitely return if we are in the area again!

Great bbq in kc! Been coming here for a few years. Great service, great food, lunch specials are worth it. The ham Salad dip is the best secret. All of the food here is great. Keep up the good work!

Excellent BBQ and fries. Gotta say though that the HAM SALAD is the must have. 1/31/23: Tried the burnt ends sandwich with legendary fries. There is plenty of meat and fries.

A hidden gym amongst KC BBQ Restaurants! Everything in the menu here is 🔥. The appetizers are fun and yummy. Corn nuggets, Texas toothpicks, the freaking ham salad, nom nom nom. Start with the meats. Turkey May be the best in KC. Brisket is good. Pulled pork is unreal. The kicker, you don’t need sauce! The ribs, a perfect amount of pull at the bite. The bark is crisp, the flavor is something else. The grand daddy, Burnt Ends! Out of this world tenderness. Big ol chunks. The bark and the flavor. And the flavor will leave you wanting more. I eat a 1/2 pound and get a half pound to go. A must stop for any BBQ nut!

I come to Kansas City once a month and always make an effort to come here. I’ve tried most of the local BBQ joints and this one is by far my favorite. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but their Baby Back ribs are amazing

I'm not from KC but I visit roughly every 6 months to visit friends and we always swing by. This place is so good my grandma now requires me to pick up pulled pork and BBQ sauce to bring back to her in Illinois. Great food and great service!

Took a day trip from St Joe to check out Brobecks. Good ribs and outstanding pulled pork. Very good sides. Took home a pound of their ham salad. Most excellent!! Kimberly was our server and she did an excellent job!! Well worth the hour + drive to get there!!

Great food and awesome service. You are greeted like a regular, because most people seem to be, and they are very friendly and helpful. Ask for recommendations as there are many delicious options to choose from. Lunch specials and a la carte ordering is available. Easy access on and off the freeway. Plenty of parking and they respect that you may be in a rush at lunch.

Got the ribs. They were very dry. Mac and cheese was just macaroni noodles with melted cheese on top. Fry’s we’re very good and so was the bbq sauce. Was hoping for more.

Very good place for BBQ. I thought the sauce was a bit sweet personally, but that's just me. Very good sausage, brisket, and pulled pork. Good service. Nothing much to complain about here. A solid choice out of many for KC BBQ!

Very good BBQ. We had a variety of food at our table of 4. My favorite was the brisket. It was a Saturday night so they were busy but the service was excellent. I thought it was very well priced. Next visit to Overland Park we will stop by again.

I've eaten at Brobecks for about 10 years and the food has always been fantastic. I love their staff. Always super friendly. Fair prices too. Good BBQ can get $$$ quick.

Had a great experience tonight. The meats were all amazing. Between the four of us we tried almost all the meats. They were good with and without the sauce. The mustard BBQ sauce was my favorite. Loved the jalapeño sausage, and the ham salad brought old memories of childhood. The beans and white macaroni and cheese were great as well. Service was great and food came out fast.

Really impressed. The smoke level was perfectly on point, thick flavorful rub, tender but not overdone. Will be back here!

Always great! They serve you so fast, you can barely put back the menu before the food arrives. Super friendly staff too. And, of course, legit barbecue! Try the ham salad. You'll wonder why you hesitated!
