We arrived at sunset to a spectacular view. Although many of the more popular view points were crowded, we only saw one other group during our visit. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Although farther from the visitor’s center than many spots, the drive is worth it if you prefer the solitude. We found the view here preferable to the views at Mather point and the Geology Museum. From Navajo point you can see the Colorado River as well as the walls of the canyon. In addition, you can see the lookout tower which is lit up at night. Obviously, photos are not going to do it justice, but we much preferred the view here over other places in the park.

Any place you can lookout over the Grand Canyon is going to be different and unique. The history of the place comes from learning about how each place got its name and why.

Best way to take photos at the Grand Canyon wothout the guard rails:) $35 per vehicle to enter the park. :)

It is awesome, magnificent, and impressive at the same time. The contact with nature in such a context remains a unique impression, these colors and this place remain forever engraved in the memory. We can easily imagine the life of the Indians living in such landscapes, the daily adventure, and the immense respect that this nature must impose.

Another fantastic point to check the view. On the day we visited there were controlled burning off going on on the north rim side. This left a smoky haze. Luckily not too much to obstruct the view, just some haze. Can also see the tower from here

One of the first checkpoints on your way towards the Grand Canyon. If you’re coming from the east side then you would’ve already paid $35 to get into the park. This view point is spectacular just like the rest of them!

There are so many vistas along the South Rim of The Grand Canyon. This is a must see place. The quietness of standing along the trail absolutely will take your breath away. See the Granger of our National Parks

There is another stop near here that doesn't have a sign. Beautiful Views worth stopping for! If you see a Raven, don't be afraid of him/her, they are just asking for food. Very sweet, shy bird.
