I wanted to drive up the scenic byway (Old Canada) and I share a last name with the Brewery here. I stayed the night in one of their lodge rooms, which was perfectly satisfactory. The bed was comfortable, I slept like a rock, there was lots of hot water for my shower, and while there were several large groups staying in the cabins nearby, the noise wasn't bad at all! The staff was really nice, and I ate at the restaurant in the lodge: delicious. Beer: great.

Return trip from last fall. This time went on whitewater rafting trip....fantastic!!! Parker was an exceptional guide, very personable and knowledgeable of the area. Breathtaking views along the river. And the team actually cooked a fabulous hot lunch along the river. The resorts Pub/Restaurant was great, the food and the service top-notch. Long drive up from Central New Jersey, but certainly worth the trip

We went there for the Afternoon River Float in kayaks. We absolutely loved it! I wish we had discovered this place years ago. The staff was super nice and gave us detailed instructions about the course of the activity. The kayaks are confortable and steady and easy to maneuver. But we can just relax, enjoy the scenery and let the river do the work. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. We will be back for sure!

Took the family on an outdoor vacation hoping to enjoy cooler Fall weather (we are from Raleigh) and catch the leaves turning. Although Mother Nature didn’t cooperate (Leaves haven’t turned yet) we had a great time at Northern Outdoors. We loved our cabin, had a great time rafting with Molly who was knowledgeable and fun. Lunch on the trip was shockingly good, even the picky eater kids loved it. The river was a very good run with plenty of bumps and dumps. Beers and photo after the trip were a lot of fun too! Highly recommend Northern Outdoors

We did the white water rafting adventure and it was amazing. The company is great, cares about safety. The food was really good as well and our guide on the raft Justin was great. Give that man a pay raise please. Definitely will request him next trip.

Spent a long weekend in the campground - had very large spacious tenting campsites right on the river which was wonderful! Float trip on Saturday was super fun - our guide, Leah, was so helpful and kind. She gave clear instructions on where to get out and made sure we had everything that we needed. Moxie Falls was totally rushing which was awesome to see! Kids really enjoyed the pool and arcade and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Had a good meal at the brewpub and great drinks, of course! Only suggestion is to pay closer attention to the shower house facilities in the campground. A few stalls were out of tp for more than a day, and it looked like they could have used a cleaning. Otherwise a great stay; we'll definitely be back!

If anyone asks me for a recommendation for a Maine vacation I say Northern Outdoors. These guys really have it figured out. The many options for accommodations, rafting, atvs, great food and the best staff, this is the place to go. I have done several trips to The Forks over the years in all different group sizes and everyone has always come home all smiles and ready to plan the next trip. As mentioned the staff and the atmosphere is what makes this place really great. Special shout out to Connor, Carter and of course Brandy!

The full day rafting trip was awesome, as well as the lunch that was prepared. Our guide Grace was excellent. The resort was very nice with great amenities. We stayed in a logdominium which was very nice and perfectly located. We arrived around 8:00 at night and was looking forward to having dinner but the kitchen was closing at 9:00 so we were not able to have dinner. Please make sure to eat before you get there if you are arriving late or bring food with you. Other than not being able to have dinner on arrival night , we had a blast and will do it again.
