What an AWESOME experience! I surprised my husband and children (ages 3, 6 and 10) with a day trip to the Niagara Cave yesterday. We traveled from the Twin Cities and it made for a beautiful 2 1/2 hour drive. Boy were we in for a treat! The cave is beautiful and well maintained. We had the pleasure of taking a tour with Michael✨ as our guide. He was genuinely friendly and very knowledgeable! The other staff were also warm and welcoming. While on the tour, the 100+ foot waterfall was thrilling to look down at while on the bridge 😅 and it was very neat to see the different stalagmites, stalactites, and fossils throughout the trek 200 feet below ground. I look forward to returning in the near future for the lantern tour... 🔦 Thank you for the unique family fun learning experience, Niagara Cave! ☺️

This was the perfect rainy day activity for our family of 3 with a 3 year old. One adult needed to help carry the toddler down and up some of the steep stairs, but fun was had by all. Our guide was very informative and we never felt rushed to hurry through. We felt as though we got our money's worth, and the gift shop had reasonably priced memorabilia.

This place provides very unique and unforgettable touring experience! It is hard to find words to describe how spectacular and stunning the cave is! By observing the different structures of the cave and learning how they are formed, it really tells the greatness of the Creator. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole tour lasted around 1 hour, and we had never got bored during the whole time! Highly recommended especially to families who have kids!

We went on a Saturday and it’s obviously a popular place, but wasn’t crazy busy. The caves were really cool. Brady was our tour guide and he did an awesome job. An hour was a perfect amount of time for a tour. Don’t let the stair count scare you from taking the tour! They are spread out and there is only one longer section, not 200+ stairs in one continuous spot. We did the mini golf after, which was a short easy course. The gift shop is reasonably priced and it was nice to have things to look at before the tour started. Great day trip!

A very interesting place to spend few hours. Amazing natural formations and fossils. Please follow the warning signs on display. Although, this is not a strenuous walk, there are few places which may get steep. Also, it gets pretty cold underground, so make sure you carry your jackets. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. There is a gift shop as well.

Wow. One of the most interesting caves I’ve ever been to. Staff and nearly all other patrons were wearing masks. There’s only one way in and out so the tour is all the way to the end of the cave and you make your way back at your own speed. I really liked that so we were able to take photos without delaying anyone.

This was a great experience. We enjoyed the tour and the cave was very cool. The lighting inside was magical. The path was pretty easy, but there are 550 steps total, so be sure you can handle that. They are pretty casual going down, but you have to do all of them in one go on the way back up. I would try to request a child-free tour. As parents ourselves, the 4 misbehaved little kids on our tour took the overall experience from a 10 to a 7.

Be prepared for all the stairs. It was an absolutely gorgeous destination. I am extremely claustrophobic and did not feel trapped once. It does get tight in a couple spots but the 48 degree temps, 200 feet down helps with people like me so hate tight spots. The guide was super friendly and gave us a wealth of information. The chapel was a unique touch .

My family and I LOVED this tour. Prices are rational, and their gift shop is AWESOME!! MAKE SURE TO DRESS WARM. It is very cold in the caves. We bought sweaters there because we didn't even think about it. We spent 90$ for 3 sweaters, but at least the sweaters are cute!!

Nice visit to the cave, everyone can do it with ease. It’s a long and fun walk as you go down levels. One of the main attraction inside to see waterfalls inside cave. Guide who took in tour was nice. Make sure you have light jackets as temp will stay around ~48-50F. Gift shop has real dinosaur eggs for $10,000. Overall I would recommend it. Out of crystal cave and Niagara, I prefer Niagara cave

Great spot for a day trip. Fairly inexpensive for about an hour tour. Prepurchase your tickets online to make sure you have a spot. Arrive about 15 mins ahead of your tour time. You can bring food as they have an outdoor picnic area. They also have a playground and mini-golf course for something to do before or after your tour. Grounds are clean and neatly kept. Staff and tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable. There is also a gift shop. As stated above the tour is about an hour. Bring a light jacket or sweater if you get cold easily. The first half is all downhill as you make your way through the cave, but the trip back is all uphill and ends with the stairs that you descended into the cave. You can bring younger children but know you may have to carry them uphill on the way back. It is not a strenuous hike, but can get a little cramped in some areas. I have been here 3 times as my child likes to do the hike now. I have never been let down with the grounds, staff or caves. I would recommend it if you like doing outdoor stuff or looking for something a little different to do.

Niagara Cave is a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. The grounds were beautifully kept. The cave tour was nice, our guide was excellent. I have done many cave tours in my life. This cave was a little colder than I have experienced before, around 48 degrees. The waterfall was cool. I have been to more impressive caves but this was quaint and really enjoyable.

This was an incredible opportunity. A friend & I took the 1 mile walking tour. They mentioned 275 steps down into the cave. You don't actually "feel" them until you head back up. Lol. The day we went was a good size group parents and kids. The kids were very well behaved and several asked the guides questions. It is a well paced tour and very informative. The whole town has a great deal of character and the cave did not disappoint. I'm not that in shape & read warnings information about asthma, etc. Truthfully there were many other parents that came with those small kids that were not built for speed like me. You are encouraged to take your time, go at your own pace and just be respectful of others & the cave. Coming back out of the cave we stopped a few places to catch your breath. But most of it the way our goes so quickly you'll be surprised by how quickly you get to the steps. After you're back in the gift shop I highly recommend grabbing a bag of the sand and mine for gems 💎 outside. The water and slide, along with panning baskets are all provided for free. You just have to pay $15 for a small bag. We found many cool rocks. Including gold, (I'm guessing fools gold) quartz, crystals, several rocks in the shape of arrow heads & many more. My friend and I enjoyed it so much. I got went for the $25 bag as well. The property has a lot of room. Including outside covered picnic tables, kids play ground, 18 hole miniature golf, & a practice putting ground. We played just 9 holes on the miniature golf before heading back to Harmony for lunch at "Bite" & then a 22 mile bike ride. I still have more photos to add & need to post about this quaint little town. I really enjoyed my day here.

Great staff. Easy access. Well maintained. Very nice gift shop with both kid-friendly items and upscale collectables. Ample walking room. Both classic and unique cave formations. What more could you want?!

This is a fun hour long private cave tour kinda in the middle of nowhere. The cave can get very narrow in spots making it feel like and underground slot canyon. Plus there is a sizable waterfall underground to view. There are a few steps but they are broken apart during your tour so it is manageable for most persons. Also the grounds outside are set with shelter and picnic area, as well as mini golf.

I loved this tour, my 13-14 year olds liked it more than they expected. Our guide was great and able to answer most my questions. :). If you like cave exploring, add this to your list of places to go!

For over 50 years, my family drove past this place and no one showed any interest in stopping by. What a mistake that was! My wife and I were in Decorah Iowa for the Nordic Festival and on our way back to Minnehopeless, we decided to check it out. What a beautiful experience it was. It has a 60 ft. waterfall, along with so many other marvels that you would want to see in a cave. The tour is an hour long and the guide was knowledgeable and patient as the tourists took pictures.

Super cool experience, nice clean facility with gift shop and bathrooms. Mini golf outside with little snack stand. Playground and picnic tables with cover outside. Our tour guide Sergei had a very good knowledge of the caves. It is quite chilly and a good amount of exercise so dress appropriately with light/medium long sleeve, good shoes important with plenty of stairs and wet surfaces. Highly recommend for all ages!

An awesome thing to experience- but you need to be in shape! The warnings about not entering the cave if you have asthma, COPD, or heart conditions (etc) shouldnt be taken lightly. Not only are there over 200 STEEP stairs you need to climb both directions, but it is COLD and HUMID. Extremely humid. I'm a very active person, we stopped to do this cave in the middle of hiking several bluffs, and I needed to stop for air at some points. There was an older gentleman in our group and we thought he was *actually* going to pass out.

Great family experience. Our almost 4 year old was able to walk all of it. I did carry him for some down the stairs climbs. This is a cool cave for all who ate adventurous.

Worth it, just go ahead and get your tickets. This guided tour is very informative & keeps you engaged for the entire one hour. So much to know about the geology of the cave formation and so much to see underneath. An exciting experience to have. The cave is well maintained and no you won't feel claustrophobic down there & definitely no funny smell. Just watch your steps and have a good time.

Awesome cave! Our tour guide was very informative. The path through the cave has a lot of stairs but otherwise it's a smooth path with fairly easy walking. I can't wait to return!

This was a super cool cave! It held the attention of the kids I took who were aged 11, 10, 8, 6 & 5. The tour guide was very patient and thorough. Mostly though, the cave was very impressive. Lots of gravel roads in this area though. I had bought tickets online ahead of time and the tour started on time and finished when I expected. The gift shop is nice and employees were very patient with all the kiddos. There's a nice play area and picnic spot outside as well, very clean.
