Today was the epitome of you get what you pay for. The service wasn't great, now I need to be clear that I don't think the servers were bad. The interaction I had with the waitress was great, she was lovely and helpful. When I got there I waited for a long time at the 'wait here to be seated' bit, before realising that 2 waitresses were doing everything on their own, so walked round into the food area and asked them if I could have a table. Once at the table, I was waiting another 10mins before my order was taken, and in the meantime another couple had been seated and their order taken before ours (they received their food before us too despite us being there 10-15mins before them). The food was good, lots of options (you could even choose how you want your eggs) and we were waiting too long for that. They also had an offer on where my 2 kids ate for free. So I only paid £9.99 for mine and the kids got their food free. So yes, I'm grumbling a little, not at the staff directly but the lack of staff which they obviously need during busy periods. But at the end of the day, I paid £9.99 for 3 breakfasts, I got what I paid for.

Went to beefeater in heaton park after a nice walk and Even though it looks small from the outside its a spacious restaurant from the inside, wide enough between tables and very bright. The staff were welcoming and let me and my friend sat were we wanted. I ordered a lasagne with a side of rice and sweet potatoes fries, and halloumi fries. The lasagne was amazing, hot, and very tasty. To be honest one of the bests i have ever ate. The rice was ok, and the potatoes were good too. The alloumi fries weren't very nice or chewy, was just dry so I didn't finish them. But apart from that i do recommend this place to everyone going around this area. Its worth it. Will be coming back :)

Popped in for breakfast. This is unlimited for £9.99 per person (2 kids under 16 eat free with every paying adult). There is such a lot on offer, including cold buffet with cereals, yoghurt and fruit, etc, and hot selection. It's all self-service. Unlimited coffee is also included(regular, latte, cappuccino, etc). We had the hot food, and the quality was amazing for the price. Brilliant value for money. We will definitely be returning.

The food service was lovely. Follows the guidelines well and is a very comfortable environment. The option to eat outside was there and the staff have great customer service. 10/10 :)

Nice food and atmosphere. Not the cleanest of places, service ok. Garlic flat bread very small compared to other Beefeater venues. Parking good.

We booked a table for two, and we were placed up a few steps and round the corner. The only person we saw was our server. We sat next to the window, and the room was painted dark grey. Scuffed woodwork and walls. I moved the condiments and was sticky and dirty. I don't think it had been cleaned since the day before. The food was not very hot the dessert was OK. But the coffee wasn't very hot, we were offered a replacement, I said no! As I wanted to go! We were then not charged for the coffees. We had a 33% discount voucher off food. I also had another on my phone for 25%, and they were advertising a 50% black Friday offer. I think it is the only way they are getting customers in! This was my last time I would go to a Beefeater. Very dissatisfied and disappointed 😞

We just came in for a drink in the bar. All the time we were there, no tables were cleaned, food and dirty glasses were left on the tables. Customers had to clear the tables themselves. We are in the midst of a covid spike and there was a complete disregard for hygiene which is a shame because the pub is okay and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Following the above, I went to the ladies loo and walked out again.

Been here twice. First time it was...OK. Service was slow when it wasn't even busy and the food was decent/average. Second time, the service at the bar was unbelievably slow to the point you felt you were being actively ignored. When I eventually got my "meal", it looked like half a Tesco microwave lasagne shoved into a cereal bowl, with a couple of tiny slices of garlic bread next to it. And for the princely sum of £15! Won't be coming here again, absolute rip off for what you are receiving.

Lovely steak, friendly staff however they were really busy and we had to wait ages for drinks and then food to come to the table. Even dessert (which was only sundaes) took a really long time! We went in-between lunch and tea so thought it might be a bit quieter. Enjoyed the food but to be honest the waiting times will make me think twice before going back.

We went dinner time on a Tuesday, so it was quite quiet. Took a while tho for the waitress to come over. I had the gammon and chips was nice. But then after the meal, don't think the tables was cleared fast enough, seen as tho it was quite empty, the pub

Food was nice, not amazing, but would go back and recommend it, bit like pub food. Service was perfect, friendly and served with a smile.

The food was ok and edible, never got ask if we needed any sauces as non were on the table. The girl who sat us down was not interested in us at all as her friends were right behind us waiting to be sat too. Her friends placed their order and received their food first. Also got quite a few visits from the waitress, some where she sat and chilled with them. Couldn't even catch her eye to get some sauce or water. A gentleman was sat near us and was told by our waitress that she would be back shortly. He sat for a while waiting, another staff member brought him his drink and he tried to speak to her. But she put his drink on the table, without looking at him or stopping and walked straight away. I couldn't see all the tables from where we were sat but they didn't look busy when we entered or when we left. Out of the five staff members I saw I only found two of them that seemed bothered about all customers. These two helped us at the end of our meal and I wish that we had them at the start of the service. The inside of this restaurant is really nice it just needs to have better staff training on customer service. We don't live local but if we did we certainly wouldn't be going back.

We had the festive menu, the staff were lovely and up for a laugh. The festive menu was so much better than I thought it would be, 3 of the party opted for steak and it didn't disappoint, there was lots of it and tasted lovely only disappointment was the parking situation isn't explained as you enter so we may receive a parking ticket that we will appeal should it come to it also service is quite slow but as I said staff were lovely

Great value - average quality. I ordered 8oz sirloin and chips with a side of salad for £10. It was ok for the price but if I had paid the full price. i would have been very disappointed. The restaurant is very clean and the service was a bit disjointed, however the workers were friendly and welcoming. Hopefully will be better next time

Our waitress Holly at the beefeater heaton Park restaurant was very welcoming and made sure our drinks were sorted first and food was ordered to our specifications, as our children were particular. The food was very well cooked, and arrived promptly. The automated booking service was easy to use. Recommend highly and will visit again.

Great Sunday lunch. Ultimate Sunday lunch ordered and served in good time with a good portion of veggies. Could have had more cauliflower cheese but you can buy more as a side. Refillable soda drinks and a nice atmosphere. I would recommend the Sunday dinner and will be back again to try the steaks

Went with an email offer for dining for 2 people. Really good value as the mains on their own were more than what we were paying. Love a good deal.

Sunday morning breakfast visit with family including children. Very busy on arrival and as we hadn't booked we had to wait to be seated but only a few minutes Kat and team were brilliant kept cool and calm and made sure everyone was OK. Nothing is ever too much trouble here the team are always helpful and friendly.

I cannot stress enough stress enough how amazing the food was and most of our waiters have been good other then one who was quite rube too be honest I’m not a fan of the way she was either being someone who has mildly high functioning autism and who wears a sunflower land yard (everywhere I go) She was incredibly inpatient with me while I was trying to order and hended up sending me into an anxiety attack. Although every single other waitress I have no complaints at all would definitely come back again.

I ordered T-Bone which was the smallest I’ve had since going here. Overcooked significantly, potatoes were so dry it seemed like they had been prepared 5 days earlier. Mushrooms overcooked, with nothing left in them. My friend had the ribeye and asked for medium, it came well done. No rum for cocktails, no Malibu for a Malibu and coke. No other side sauces than pepper sauce, I did ask for the blue cheese sauce. Such I shame I post this review. My family and I have been here a number of times prior to covid and always enjoyed the food. It was great value but this visit has made me think about every going back.

I was quite disappointed. The lady serving us had a lousy attitude and couldn’t provide basic information. The table was dirty and the chips were horrible. It was overpriced for the quality of food and service. I won’t be returning.

How you can call your restaurant “Beef Eater” an not even be able to cook beef is baffling?!? Ordered two fillet steaks medium rare one came out over well, and the other medium well. Sent them both back the replacements were cooked medium well and I think maybe the chef may have gone through the steaks to find the worst cuts in the fridge out of spite. Well steak are bland, no seasoning, seems they also don’t understand how to seat the meat either and come out well over cooked. One of the worst meals I’ve had to pay for in a very long time. Won’t be making this mistake again.

Great place for good service and good food at a reasonable price

Attempted to phone to book a table but the phone system didn’t work. Then booked online, it was accepted and we got reminders about the booking - but when we turned up they denied any knowledge about our party and took zero responsibility for any mistake. Rubbish attitude and didn’t even try to make alternative arrangements. Birthday meal with the family ruined thanks.

Thank you so much for looking after myself and my family when we arrive for breakfast and dinner. Food is lovely. I cannot fault kat one bit. She works hard at her job always has a lovely glowing smile on her face. My son can be difficult at times and kat always makes it so easier for me when he orders, put that little smile back on his face. Food has always been amazing here. Thank you everyone at the beefeater. X

Visited here on the 23rd and 24th June. I have had Calamari at multiple restaurants and pubs previously, butbits uncommon i eat it more than once on any trip,. But Heaton Parks is by far the best I have had to date, absolutely tasty. Which resulted in both evenings having the calamari starter. Service in the evenings was fantastic. Myself and my partner are both autistic with very different sensory needs. And this is one of the first premier inn attached pubs, that have truly understood and went out of their way to make sure we where assisted. Thank you!

I used to be a bad steak lover. (Well done and then burn it again) I got educated for my Xmas doo in Oxford at the cheshire arms... AMAZING. Visited this beefeater today and the steak cooked by Ant confirmed to me that medium is the way to make steak, the great texture and flavour that it needs to be. Holly was the perfect host. Nothing was too much. Many thanks. I ask no reward for this post 🙌🙌🙌

I enjoyed the food here and the continental. The toaster takes a very long time to toast, but the breakfast overall is good. The service is friendly, and it's a nice quiet atmosphere that's not too bustly midweek, which is when we went for breakfast.

  • 2/5 Raymond A. 10 months ago on Google
Over-rated and overpriced. Definitely not my cup of tea. I've ordered food and literally watched it sitting on the counter hot plate whilst staff, whom clearly were not doing anything else, literally walk past it a few times. If I was the chef, I would be banging a bell to have this taken to the customer IMMEDIATELY, Beer's, overpriced.
