A very beautiful hotel, you can take that away from them. The rooms though small are well decorated and looking lovely, there food taste good. However, there are lots of negatives. 1. Its a very noisy hotel, not good if you like tranquility. 2. There seems not to be proper organization 3. Even if your company has paid for your meal, they might still bill you, either intentionally or system error. 4. Every waiter/waitress pass will keep asking you which room you are as if you sneak into the hotel just to eat their food, it can be very very embarrassing. 5. The TV channels available are not interesting at all. 6. The crowd in the restaurant can be so much, it will take you a lot of time to be served. 7. The staff there seems to be overburden with work, same people often, with little rotation.

I had a great stay when I was in Menlyn Fire & ice hotel. The rooms are clean, neat & the beds are nicely and properly made, also clean sheets. The food is lovely and the stuff is very friendly. They have got themselves a regular client. I'm definitely recommending them. When ever you're around Pretoria, Google them, make a booking and enjoy your stay. Keep up the good service!!! 💯

Gorgeous hotel, beautiful decor, gorgeous restaurant and swimming pool area. I love the outside lounging area. It's so cosy and beautiful. The room is modern and clean. There is a small fridge and coffee station. I love the complimentary soap and body lotion. It smells divine. I really enjoyed this experience.

Overall, this is a nice hotel! Pros: Price, Very friendly staff, easy fast check in, shower was strong and hot, and mini fridge, Free Breakfast buffet was good. The hallways and restaurant smelt really good. Decor was real nice, especially in restaurant. Loved that when you tap your room key in the elevator, it automatically took you to your floor. Cons: Far from Johannesburg, Power in the room flickered off and on every day, No microwave, My seafood at restaurant was terrible, didn't give us enough breakfast packs when requested, gnats in the room, shower was private. The pool was small and right outside of the restaurant. Would definitely recommend depending on where the activities you are doing.

We attended a conference for 3 days. I have never been fed so much with such good food. Their food is incredible. The staff is very very friendly all around and it's amazing to not even see dirty plates and mugs after a snack. They are effortlessly removed out of sight. It's always clean. I was getting cold in the conference room and was provided with a blanket with no hesitation. Thank you Fire & Ice for incredible food and exceptional service

Regular business traveller and this is by far the hotel with the best service I have stayed in. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Excellent restaurant with true South African cuisine and a good breakfast spread. Even when fully booked this Hotel delivered on quality and personal service. Highly recommended

Staff were very friendly. Always smiling. I liked the terraced area by the lap pool where we had our coffee and excellent breakfast. The room was modern, well equipped with USB chargers each side of the king sized bed. Would definitely stay there again.

Was there for a workshop at their conferencing facilities. Unfortunately not noisy rooms. The tea time snacks were really skimped on. Not everyone was able to have a portion. There catering was not on point. Management response was weak that clients are on a budget. Our company doesn't skimp on food and quality.

Restaurant service was terrible. Booked a table and ended up being moved within 2 hours of setting up, waiter took 8 years to get back with orders it was just a mess. Would not recommend for any function bookings. Half a star really and that’s for the cute views by the pool where we got to take pics

The restaurant food is not too great, they could expand on their menu and the wait for the food was extremely long. Lovely cocktails but don't order anything off the menu like classic cocktails such as the old fashion. Didn't really like the open plan setting with no enclosed bathroom

Rooms very good and clean, great friendly people ,very good location few minutes from a big mall. Not sure if it was because i was really hungry but the steak i ordered in room service was incredible! would surely choose for future stays again

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is nicely furnished and in a great part of the Capital city, closer to Mylyn Mall its best situated where is necessary and convenient.

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are modern, but there is no privacy for the bathroom. They should rethink adding some privacy curtains in any room that has two beds. This might be fine for couples, but for people traveling together, there should be a privacy option. It was a little awkward.

Hosted my baby shower at this venue in one of the conference rooms. A big thank you to Obakeng and Bianca who helped co-ordinate my event. The communication was exception. Great work ethic and professionalism. What a seamless journey. A few hurdles were overcome with dedication and exceptional customer service. The day of my event… , what extraordinary staff. Compliments to the chef. From starter to dessert everything was exquisite! The staff that took care of us went above and beyond. What friendly warm faces, and enthusiasm. A big big thank you. We really did get our moneys worth.

We had a decent time at this hotel, although I was disappointed by how loud it was. Granted we went on a Friday night and there are other restaurants in the vicinity- so just be aware that it can get very loud during the night. I was surprised that I wasn’t given an option to choose a room with a bath when booking but now I know for future visits. It also gave a very “budget” type of atmosphere with everything being so minimalist. The breakfast was splendid, as was the service of the waitresses in the dining area in the morning. I will not be returning as I believe there are quieter and better options not too far away.

I had a very pleasant stay for a week at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Pretoria Menlyn. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is very well maintained. The rooms were very clean. The room was also very well furnished. The breakfast buffet had a large selection of different dishes.

Are you a deep house lover? Then make your way to Protea Fire & Ice for the Thursday deep house sessions. Start with a nice buffet dinner then enjoy your deep house sessions with Vinny Da Vinci and others. Totally loved it there

BAD SERVICE! I do not recommend, some of the stuff by the conference/events area are manipulative, fail to communicate effectively and do not commit to their promises. I was there on a Saturday night and it literally feels like a tarven by the reception and restaurant. The toilet by the reception had vomit everywhere and the cleaners couldn’t clean. The security guard named Johannes is very disrespectful and awfully prideful, I will definitely lodge a formal complaint. The dessert provided by the buffet is tasteless and stale. There are thief’s there that steal cellphones as my friends phone got stolen there by staff in 2021, the hotel was not helpful and refused to give us camera footage. Again, don’t go. You will regret it.

Getting to the building for the first time is a little confusing, but once you are there the views look stunning. The service is friendly and welcoming from the security to the door man to staff inside the building ❤️ loved it

It's a great place for conferences, service excellent. Has the cleanest toilets attended every few minutes. Quiet and peaceful, has wonderful swimming and courtyard.

Very good service at conference room. Free undercover parking. Very delicious food served. Beautiful and clean ladies/gents. Had a bit of network connection issues, but IT person is readily available.

The vibe at this hotel is phenomenal, the rooms have a modern feel even though there's always that feeling someone is at your door because the doors are so close to one another. The food is very nice, when they say buffet they mean business, both for breakfast and supper. The hotel is well positioned for insane views from the top floors.

A nice hotel with delicious food but I have two things that were not impressive. Loud music, that was the worst I have ever experienced in that kind of setting. When we asked the waiter, he told us that during weekend the music is loud and nothing can be done about it. This means that people who don't like loud music are not catered for in this place. Smoking area, the sliding door remained open and all the smoke was coming inside. As nice as the hotel is but unfortunately because of these two things, I got disappointed. I honestly need to convince myself to go back there.

I appreciate the chef for customizing my Mai Tai cocktail, absolutely loved it. The meal itself was pleasing to the eye as well as the taste buds, especially the lamb stew. Tasty 👌🏾

Service is terrible. We were treated as “less than” and treated like kids. From orders to chasing you around all the time. An example is, this evening, I was in the hallway at 21:10 speaking to my colleague, one of the staff members came and told me “Go to your room” in such a rude and aggressive tone. This was the constant treatment. It was definitely not a good experience. Staff needs to humble themselves and learn how to deal with their guests.

Rooms are nice and a decent size but my absolute favourate thing is the Comedy Shows they host. The only thing I don't like is that you need to wake up early for breakfast because if you arrive at 10:00 your options will be very limited

It's alright. We had a good time. The buffet is a bit of a let down, the meat had way too much salt. Please ease up on the salt. The overall experience was fine

The best hotel ever. I love everything about this place. Their rooms are exceptional. The hotel staff amazing. The Thursday dj sessions. The restaurant. The food. My word. Lots of memories created here and we keep going back my husband and I. I def would recommend this.

Spent two nights here, I loved it. Great customer service. Very clean and modern look. Secure parking & perfect location, right next to offices & access to shopping malls. Very spacious, especially the shower. Right next to wonderful restaurants. Highly recommended to business people stay. Views from the 6th floor as in the pictures

Another great hotel is affordable..the buffet-style breakfast and supper are a food lovers paradise. The rooms are clean and inviting to the eye. there is an in-house bar and lots more. The staff is always going an extra mile the parking is safe and sufficient..it close to major shopping centers and Manlyn Mall.

I am a frequent traveler on business and of most hotels I slept in... This is the best by far! Very friendly staff especially at the breakfast/dinner area. Breakfast buffet has a huge variety. Perfect for family. They even had "vetkoek" and "aachar". My favourate.

I actually wanted to book her for my 21 birthday which is next year Feb after buh after seeing what happened to Ghost Hlubi I am very disappointed. Your security services sucks big time. How can they steal a phone and after that y'all didn't even want to help at all. No this must stop and apparently Ghost Hlubi is not the first to complain about such thing. Thus has been happening a lot and still there is not improvement. Fix your security system or else y'all will be loosing a lot of customers.

Staff is helpful. Rooms are clean. Overall a good place to stay and rewind.

Decent Hotel. Lost a few stars because we called to book a specific room, which had been given away when we arrived, despite the guy in reception saying the room was booked; New room wasn't suitable; There is also a fragrance being pumped though the hotel common areas which would be great if it wasn't so overwhelming; Room service dishes weren't cleared from the passage for almost 24 hours; Trying to figure out how the lifts work without asking reception was a challenge ;) I'd still recommend the hotel though, good enough experience overall.

Good food, excellent live music, super client service and conducive entertainment environment. Located in a safe, easily accessible area. We'll done guys. Coming again soon.

Exceptional service, friendly staff, great food and beautiful architecture. Felt really relaxed and I would 100% come back here. My only negative feedback would be that be our room door did not close properly and we only had one functioning 2 point plug in our room. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.
