I went to the Morning side branch for a laser hair treatment. I was allocated to Noxy, I love the way she executes her work, she pays attention to sensitive areas. I have seen drastic hair reduction in areas that were not previously treated by my other therapist. Not to forget how hospitable and friendly she is. I wish I could’ve started my laser hair removal journey with her💐💐💐

I made an appointment with Skin Renewal for 18 September for botox treatment for bruxism. My request on whatsapp was to provide me with someone who was experienced and certified in administering botox for bruxism and I also mentioned I had done this in Bangkok and needed to have it done again, 6months later. I was asked to meet with Maureen. I explained to her I had botox done in Bangkok and even took the samples with me that I had from Bangkok. I asked Maureen if she was a qualified dermatologist and she said ‘No I am a GP with 20yrs experience in the business’. She showed me pics confidently of the work she had done on other people. With this said I believed she knew what she was doing and I was in trusted hands. Maureen proceeded to inject my left side of my face first with botox and did so incorrectly into the masseter muscle. She gave me another shot on the left side towards the cheek bone. This was new to me as previously it was only a masseter injection I received. On the right side she did the same and when she did the second shot she hit my cheek bone with the needle and it was very painful. She even stated ‘or I can feel the bone’. Not realising she was not supposed to hit that bone because she does not know her job, well I guess she isn’t a qualified derm so what does she know about muscles anyways. Well I only found out later from professional derms she had incorrectly injected my face and the wrong muscles.The skin renewal team did follow up with me asking me how I was doing post treatment. I was sore – never had I been this sore that my glands were clicking but I gave it the time to adjust. After 1 week the swelling subsided and I waited on 3 weeks to check how things were when I noticed a lopsided ‘crooked smile’. I sent the image on whatsapp and it is clear. I was highly disappointed and decided to visit a professional qualified dermatologist at Skinderm who I should of went to in the first place. The dermatologist from Skinderm examined my face and told me that Maureen injected too much botox on the one side and that Maureen also incorrectly injected my muscles. The cheek bone is not a Masseter muscle . She was supposed to inject the masseter muscle. Further to this I had a video call with my derm in Bangkok who mentioned the same to me. I paid a lot of money that day and also purchased other products. Thousands was spent on treatment that was not fit for purpose. My face ‘drooped’ to one side. During the time this occurred I had to be admitted for major surgery as well as I had to cancel my 40th birthday party in November due to looking abnormal with a ‘droopy’ smile. It was emotionally taxing and impacted my mental health. Our smile is our greatest asset and Maureen ‘botched’ mine because she is does not know how to administer botox. Please stay away from this establishment. Maureen and her team have no empathy for customers and are more interested in making money. The feedback I received was to come in for facial therapy to help dissolve the botox. I will not go back to this money making establishment as the professionals will tell you that only time can fix botox and no ’miracle’ can be done overnight. I did request a refund and was shut down, all they told me is that I am a small % of people who experienced some sort of side effect of the botox. This is not true. I have had botox done before in Bangkok by a professional surgeon and never did I have a ‘droopy’ face. I even asked for a 50% refund but no one came back to me. Please note that Maureen is the CEO of skin renewal and it is concerning that the CEO is incapable of injecting botox. Please stay away from this establishment and go to someone who is reputable and capable. You will notice the Skin renewal website only has positive reviews from customers – but go to hello peter and you will see the negative reviews. I was not looking for a free 'pop' when I requested a refund but I would expect Maureen and her husband who know my story to do the right thing and refund me.

I want to thank Dr Lestonn for the service received. I have never felt so at home and at ease as I did with doctor. He handled me with absolute care, explaining every step and took me through the process with utmost professionalism. His friendliness, love and dedication to his profession really shows Dr Lestonn genuinely cares and takes time to sit with you, make you feel comfortable and make you understand exactly whats going to happen. He wasn’t rushing like most doctors do who just make you feel like a number. He took his time, made me feel comfortable, and was very thorough. He is excellent. The doctor’s office was neat and clean and there was a very short waiting time. I enjoyed my visit as well as the staff I got to engage with. I will refer this doctor to everyone who wants the best treatment because I definitely received world class service. Thank you.

I am always very skeptical when it comes to skin treatments as I have very sensitive skin, but Bianca and the team from Skin Renewal put all of my skepticism and uncertainty towards new treatments aside! She confidently explained the effects that the treatments would have on my skin and explained the steps she would take if there was any bad reaction (of which the chances are miniscule). She had read me as a client to the point where I felt like I could ask anything, and Bianca patiently answered without rushing me through the questions or information. Darienne Saaiman for my initial assessment and consultation. I was very excited to start with my treatment plan, and dr. Saaiman made me feel very comfortable and relaxed about all the procedures I would be embarking on. Tania Bezuidenhout assisted with great care and detail afterwards when discussing my products. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I'm extremely happy with the service from Dr. Lestonn Lawn. I basically got a far better service for half the price of what I would usually get it for overseas. He and his shadowing doctor were extremely professional and competent. Honestly I cannot reiterate enough that I got better results in Sandton than I did in Manhattan for half the price. Highly recommend.

I had a deep cleanse extraction facials done here at Skin Renewal and I must say all the good reviews I read here before making that decision was worth it. My therapist was Kelly and she did an amazing job. She was welcoming, warm and was patient to get the job done. Another thing I loved about this place was, at the end, they didn’t bring in products and try to influence me to buy as most spas would after getting my facials done. All in all I’m happy I found this place. I would recommend and would definitely be going back.
