Was there again last night. Awesome new menu (Mediterranean Rice Balls with Haloumi inside), food excellent! For a bit of an extra service evening, ask upfront for Ashley to be your waiter! We love Ocean Basket at Grey Owl!!! Infrared red heaters are working perfectly outside!

Nice and cosy OB, wonderful friendly staff compliment. Always worth a stop, even just a cocktail, between the shopping runs or just a bit of quiet time.

Quality of food was extremely disappointing however service was excellent.

As always a good food selection so that everyone can get there favorite. Waiter was well spoken and visited us just enough so that we did not feel uncomfortable. The restaurant was a little empty with only 3 table occupied for a Sunday lunch. We enjoyed it and will be there again

I am a big lover of fish and one thing I dont compromise on to get my fish is good service. I had initially called in to make a takeaway order but upon arrival to pick up we decided to stay and eat there. The kitchen staff and floor staff gave impeccable service. I enjoyed the food and appreciated that the store wasn't overcrowded despite the holiday season. Thank you,see you soon!

Place is so welcoming and and peaceful.its a small but beautiful village .excellent fresh fish .wonderful speed of serving and very very friendly waiters

Service was great from Thulani, availability of items on the menu not so. Most of the items we asked for were out of stock, reason was the owner never bother to stock up.

Had lunch there. Fish and chips delicious. Service great with such a friendly and attentive waiter. Cuppaccino was delicious and strong and warm. Had to end the meal with Baklava and ice cream... off course!!! To DIE for. Yummy. Would recommend any day

After an entire week of clean eating I was really looking forward to my sushi cheat meal with side order of calamari and sadly all of it was terrible!!! I had a crunch fusion sushi platter the rice was over cooked and the sushi just awful. The fried calamari was rubbery 😩 what a disappointment

Disappointed about the this particular store not having most of the fish needed for the meals on their menus.. And it would've been great if the outside area was a smoking area but unfortunately smoking is prohibited even outside. The service was great overall had a great waiter

I ordered my food through Mr D to be collected and when I come to collect, the food was not ready within the time allocated. I end up waiting over an hour for my food that was supposedly be ready with 40 minutes

The food was absolutely amazing! The service by our waiter was great!! We however waited a while to be served, seemed to be understaffed , but understandable as it was quite busy due to loadshedding and the rainy weather. Would recommend a decor upgrade as the table cloths etc look worn out. Despite this , we will return as the quality of the food is exceptional and the best Ocean Basket we have eaten thus was.

It is so unfortunate and sad to experience and witness such rudeness and lack of sensitivity and care from the front line lady at your shop. I gathered her name is Moosa. I do not know at what stage of life does a human being thinks she/he is better than other human beings. Moosa is rude to the uber and Mr Delivery drivers. My reason of writing this is because not once not twice,but 3 times have I now witnessed her. Perhaps the shop needs to explain to the staff that those orders that drivers pick up are for the same customers that support and choose the restaurant,and maybe the staff will treat delivery guys,humanly.

A very special thanks to Mandla, the waiter, for great service received. Very friendly, effecient and on the ball. 5 stars to the chef as well. Thank you to Bean, the manager, for excellent service as well. I will definitely recommend this branch for the greatest food and service. Take note that I pass 3 Ocean basket branches from my home to eat at this branch. Well done and keep up the good work.

Had a horrible experience. Waiter Frans has a bad attitude and then demanded a higher tip, then tried to manipulate us by refusing the tip. Then started arguing that he does not get a salary. That is something that needs to discussed with management Frans and not customers.

Service, quality and quantity from the Grey Owl restaurant are better than the surrounding branches. I love it!

Service of a high standard end sushi was realy fresh and tasty. This wad my first visit to this Ocean Basket, but for sure not my last
